It is scary at first, I do agree, but now, as a Metroid Veteran, I can clear out of that Lab in less than 10 Seconds. It's just a breeze. but as for the SA-X, He's a massive idiot for bring that area down on himself!!!

yes just go back though the way you came after the lab gets detached and the bumpers won't be there and you will find that there is a power bomb upgrade.
