Both guitars can handle those covers; only difference would be that that the Dean from Hell would have a neck and bridge pickup and a liscensed floyd tremolo where the Alexi would have an active pickup at the bridge and a original floyd rose tremolo. So it really just comes down to personal preference

i bought it in real life but actually from what i've heard, the preamp in the alexi sig guitars are only in alexi laiho himself's. or at least thats whati heard. =S

they are in the pink ltd one, but alexi DOES NOT have a preamp in the LTD line or his ESP line. the pink one costs more because they put it in the guiar. The ESP model comes wit hthe gain booster uninstalled, but the new alexis have Seymour Duncan Blackou active pickups, so he ld line nor alexi has a gain boost. THEY ARE NOW COLLECIBLE

but the only difference between this and the EX series is that the EX has two pickups, ESP logo on the headstock and comes from the custom shop because its that customized. the EXs are a custom guitar! lol
