@EckoNike1 Phantoon got so much bigger because he is a multi-dimensional creature, meaning that his entire body cannot exist in one dimension. He was much bigger in Other M because the Bottle Ship had much more energy than the Wrecked Ship for Phantoon to use to put more of his body in that dimension.

@EckoNike1 Phantoon isn't naturally a resident of our universe, supposedly, so who's to say he(?)'s bound by things like size continuity... Or maybe Phantoon was a juvenile in SM... or perhaps he was meant to be ginormous but they could only make him so big due to game limitations... Look at how much Ridley and Kraid's sizes change from game to game... Heck Ridley's whole appearance changes from MClassic to SM to OtherM...

The first time I played this game I had to beat kraid with only his claw visible because I played on a crappy emulator. I just shot missiles and when I could hear him scream I'd shoot even more missiles. It took me forever but in the end I won. most intense bossfight ever tho

It may have been at this point, but it was used in Zero Mission for Kraid's boss fight and nothing else, so it's essentially "Kraid's battle theme" now.
