If this is target shooting, why are they using compound bows with trigger releases? Maybe I am a little purist here but when I see Korean archer hit a target twice to 3 times that distance, with not so much as an arrow rest I am not as impressed.
That is just me. but they are good no question about that and WAY better then me.
@TankP0wnz It's called a release. That's what you use to shoot a compound bow. You put the release around a loop right behind the nock, pull back, and squeeze the trigger when you're ready to shoot
@omergic It is 50m, it is the new compound rules! it used to be 70m, then it was 50m hit and miss, and now it is just 50m, for all compound archers :) recurve still shoots 70m

What exactly are they holding onto when they are shooting? I've only ever held the actually arrow when shooting.

It's all up to the preference of the Archer. My Daughters shoot a Alpine USA and we are Canadian.
