For the 'non-professional' I think ITF TKD (comps) are a great participant sport and exciting to watch. OK, the purists might say that because its not full contact it lacks the excitement. I disagree.
I go back to my first remark...'non professional'...most of whom don't do full contact... have to work but i know myself that its full contact to everywhere else but the head in most cases. My own background is semi and full contact...but more importantly than the sporting side is the art itself.
eh... what you on about ? tkd wouldnt be much diffrent from any other kick boxing if the feet work wouldnt be involved... i know that might not be that usefull on the "street" but you aint learning it to fight on the street... thats what makes tkd special and diffrent then anything alse, the kicks...
