  • Try using a larger tube, like a cut doun paper towel roll, and put in the paintballs in followed by a wad of toilet paper to keep them froim rollong out, it should blow away after firing.

  • Just use a piece of paper towel to keep them from rolling out...works great.

  • the best thing to do is take a large block of styrophome cut it out with another piece of pvc and make a sabo and put watever u want in it gravel paintballs random sized rocks anythong that will fit

  • I am always amazed by youtube posters with poor punctuation.

  • hey fuck head im not a redneck but i cant aford to spend $400 on a fucking paintball gun and i bet you could never have come up with this so in this case hes may be a redneck but hes smarter than you

  • @braddarocker3 clearly this "redneck" is very intelligent if u listend to the video

  • lol ur balls roll out

  • what you do is you know on the top it you could some how use that crapy scotch tape and make it pointed at the top but not making the tape really tight just loosly put it on there and boom it should come off as long as you dont wrap it in all the way together just put a few strips and see how that works

  • pu in a grocery bag the balls the another bag

  • hey man nice idea , check out my lil shotgun

  • ive got a better idea plug it with papertowels and put the paintballs on top

  • muzzle loader not breech

    breech is in the back

  • Correct! HOWEVER, this one IS a "breech loader" (from the back) due to how the wad is fabricated. Thanks for the attempted correction. Have a nice day.

  • Another idea for you. Maybe use a small wad like part of a facial tissue covering the paintballs. Then use a small rubber band to hold the petals closed. I think the force of the air will pop the whole thing open and there you go!

  • One thing that might work would be aluminum foil. try covering the top as well as half of the shotgun canister. by the time it gets to the end of the barrel, it should have come off or split the seal. just a thought.

  • For a muzzle loading type potato gun, I would simply load it like you had it sitting in the video. then add a wad of paper (toilet paper, paper towel, newspaper, etc) on top of it nice and snug. I once did something similar with my own potato gun but instead of paintballs, I loaded it with airsoft bb's. It worked really well.

  • I used tight newspaper wadding, then paintballs, then more wadding. pack it down good, and it works like a charm! no TP roll needed much less complicated

  • There might be a weaving or folding method of some kind that you could use. Perhaps if the ends of the roll were merely folded and fixed at 90 degrees they might still open on barrel-exit. Have you ever tried just sandwiching the balls between two wads of paper? Obviously not so much of an engineering triumph, though. Anyway, I like your video. Shot loads are something I've always wanted to try but never have gotten around to.

  • thats what i did same shell desing thats how they make real shotgun shells kinda look at my vid

  • Lets see it in action! P.S. have you tried just taping one sheet of toilet paper over the end of the shell to keep the balls in? If done right it might rip when fired allowing the balls to fly out. What do you think?

  • Thanks for the suggestion: I tried just that with a napkin over the end of the wad. More testing is needed though. There are three vids of it being fired...just have a look for them: "First Round High", "Perfect Shot", and "Muzzle Up Close"...all with the same preface as this video. Thanks for viewing and commenting! The spud cannon is a great physics teaching tool actually and mine was made for that purpose originally.

  • the part about your balls rolling out?

  • The "wad" as shown in the video is not covered on the forward end...if the wad (named as a shotgun wad since it fulfills the same function) is NOT closed. Once loaded (see my other vids) if the barrel is pointed downwards, gravity will cause the paintballs to roll out of the wad---eventually out the end of the barrel. I hope that answers your question...but rate it man! How was the vid???

  • super cool :)

  • Can anyone find the verbal mistake in this vid? (author).
