don't get me wrong I love this car, it high quality hand built and beautiful, but you can find all the technology this as in the BMW 7 Series, not too mention the BMW 7 Series is probably a nicer and better performing car to drive. If I had the money to buy a Rolls Royce I would get the Phantom(I'm guessing the Phantom will get the new I drive system in a couple years), but if I had the money I would get the Phantom and a chauffeur to drive me around in it.

@jmc32007 Incidentally, Bentley is now making a big push for Maybach's celebrity clients (Samuel L. Jackson, Jay-Z) etc to get them to move to a Mulsanne or decked-out Continental once the Maybach label ends in 2013. They're going all-out with hand-written letters and invitations to the Bentley plant in Crewe. I don't think RR will need to work quite that hard, but I love both brands. Have a few vids of a Bentley Continental Supersports, need to do a car tour eventually.

I've been wondering if the stretch from an S-Class or a 7-Series is worth it. It's at least twice as expensive. Also, how does the Phantom feel compared to the Phantom Coupe? Sharper handling and things like that, I suppose?

Comparing this car to its main competitors the Bentley Flying Spur and Mulsanne well .....

Both the Bentley models have nicer interiors then the Ghost particularly the Mulsanne. But the big issue with this car is that its overpriced, it should compete directly with the Flying Spur but is priced inline with the more upmarket hand built Mulsanne.

The Ghost and the 760iL have only 20% of their parts in common.This has different track, height, wheelbase, suspension, engine capacity, body and interior to a 760iL. Also a very different feel on the road.You tend to be pointing our how its similar to a 760iL instead of pointing out the differences.
