  • im 12 and i topped out at 102 is that fast or slow

  • @RBDyrdek i call bullshit...

  • Slider is my shit. I make people look stupid with this pitch. Best thing to happen to me as a pitcher so far is learning to throw a slider.

  • kissafan stop talking crap and we'll wait and see who the real dawg and who's the real shit. (ooh my bad i didn't mean to talk to you like that) wink

  • good job kissassfan

  • Depends on how well you do in the minors. Good luck, I am also a pitcher on my varsity high school team.

  • texas is where its at man.

  • sounds good to me and to be 17 and already being watched by mlb teams thats impressive! i want your autograph so when you are famous ill have something!

  • Man , i hate it when ppl know theyre good then they ask a dumass question just to see if ppl will say woah dude yur a beast or w/e. your a beast if those are real, but stop showin off.

  • yeh kissfan will get to the big leagues..but six one is kinda short now adays for a pitcher...your triple, double, single A or proffesional career probably wont be as good as your highschool r w/e school ur at now.

  • kissfan congratz though its obvious u know ur makin to majors adleast duble or triple A

  • i throw a 2 seam fastball like a slider i grip it like everyone else but it moves like a slider i use more

  • umm im 12 i play travel baseball with 70 ft bases and i dont reall y get hot to throw the slider cuz i hate throwing my curve but is it like a two seamer u just basically turn ur hand???

  • some advise dnt throw your curve to much

you will mess up your arm my brother did.

  • You should probably hold off on learning more than 2-3 pitches until pony or high school where it is really needed. Getting in to bad habits is really bad. Should only need a 4 and 2 seam fastball and a small curve in LL....probably should use a change more than a curve so you dont hurt your arm...but you should be fine with the curve as long as you throw it properly.

  • im 13 and i throw about 72-75. some people say it's slow and others say it's fast. please i have to know. is it fast or slow?

  • dude your 13 and throwing like that. What you need to do is focus on changing speeds and locations and picking up maybe a slider or change-up. Dont waste your time with a curve. it will only screw your arm up to the point you wont even make it on your high school team. just focus on what i told you and dont worry about speed. some of the best pitchers in baseball never threw past 90-93 miles an hour.

  • well yeah of course. i have a nice splitter, my change-up is incredible, i'm learning to throw a slider. i have a curve but i barely use it because it put too much stress on my arm and i got tendonitus(i don't know how to spell it). i have great accuracy. i just wanted to know if i will at least reach 90 mph when i'm older. i'm gonna start playing 60 feet mound and 90 ft bases next season.

  • speed is not as important as hitting the different points of the strike zone. Work on accuracy and learn to vary your speed with fastballs and change ups.

  • Thats pretty good but try to work on a breaking ball. I can pitch about that fast, and it really fools hitters when you go from a big 75 mph fastall to a breaking 65 mph changeup.

  • That is above average for sure. Word of warning. LEARN TO PITCH! Avoid the temptation of blowing it by everyone... It will make you a lazy pitcher and when you do get older, any decent player can hit a 90MPH fastball. A curve WILL NOT mess your arm up if you throw it right. Most kids hurt their arms from overuse and improper mechanics. Get a good pitching coach and hold yourself to pitch counts even if your coach doesn't. Those two things will save your arm!

  • i know location off-speed and breaking balls. people say be a pitcher not a thrower. just that phrase says it all. thanks man

  • dont wear out your arm kid

  • that is pretty fast

  • that is pretty fast for a 13 year old

  • @newbaberuth liar

  • @newbaberuth obviously thats fast, but 75 mph for a thirteen year old seems like bullshit dude. Get that checked oficially

  • @laz3rb33m it's not bullshit. i'm 16 now and i topped out at 86 in perfect game.

  • @newbaberuth dude your three years older and probably much stronger. Plus how should I believe you anyways?

  • @laz3rb33m you can check the perfect game website or MaxPreps. why are you getting so angry? throwing hard doesn't make someone a pitcher.

  • @newbaberuth thats fast... tim wakefield throws about that fast and he pitchers for the red sox

  • tnx a lot! ive learned how to pitch a real slider tnx for the information!i can controll it!

  • i just came outta the womb im breakin 90 mph on the gun

  • I laughed so hard at this one

  • I am 14 and I throw a 72-75 MPH FB and a sharp curve around 59-62 MPH.

  • AWESOME!

  • atta girl!

  • Hey super duper for you. Why are you 21 in your profile? Lying on Youtube, thats just low.

  • I can throw a 70 mph FB and I am 13 but my slider is bout 55-60

  • thats awesome i throw a 83mph fastball and a 67mph slider 59mph circle changup and a 50 mph knuckle curve my curve just coming in at 65mph cutter 77

  • Ok danny almonte

  • who the fuck u talkin too. just cuz u suck

  • i not even close to the fastest in my eague. few kids throw near 80's and my boy who is 14 throws like 84 top speed

  • so your 14 and you have a boy whose also 14?. makes sense....

  • yeah i know my thing says im like 34 but i pitch close to 86 to 90 but im in high school

and i've been workin since i was young and yeah the 14 thing don't make sense.

  • he got busy when he was born

  • last year there was a kid in my league he could pitch 77-79 fastball but he ruined his arm because he pitched to fast

  • my brother is 12 he threw 66 on a radar gun

  • Major League sliders break a lot more than what this guy says.

  • He said the slower you make the pitch the more it will break - you must have misunderstood.

  • ok honestly I'm 12 years old...I'm also a gurl but I still have a MEAN slider! idk how fast it clocks but it breaks 5 inches (no joke!!!) my fastball maybe 55 MPH but my Changeup...dont even get me STARTED! im talkin 25-30 mph slower than FB but it breaks a good 8 inches (on a good day)...STILL NO JOKE HERE!!!

  • i can throw 65mph and i just turned 12

  • my fastball is like 60mph and im 12

  • there is no way you throw a 3,000 mph changeup

  • lol

  • umm im 14 and i throw a slider but i can only touch 70. i havent been clocked throwing the slider but i would guess that its around 60 mph. so who said your not throwing a slider unless your throwing 85+. then what am i throwing?

  • ya know if it works for you then deffinetely use it. i fastball clocks between 78-82, my slider is around 72. yes, i'm 14 too, but i'm turning 15 in july.i think my slider's ok, but not great (Knuckle curve is my best breaker)

  • well that's why the term slurve came out, slider with curve mixed together, a curveball that breaks like a slider in other words, a slow pitch that has lot of lateral movement. its not as good as a slider for the simple fact it is not thrown hard enough. but anyway, like i always said, grip the ball, rip it and whatever it does, it will be effective if you can command it.

  • unless you throw 85mph+ you will not really throw a slider.

  • i throw about a 60 mph slider give or take a few. and it breaks a good 3 to 6 inches depending on how much i let it break. im nowhere near 85. what am i throwing then?

  • actually i had a prime tournament the other day and we played a team full of 15 year olds and the pitchers they were pitching were clocking in about 80 - 82mph.

  • I'm not sure how this is showing us how to throw a slider...

  • im 15 81 mph fastball, knuckle curve, reg curve, cutter and a2 seammer when im on

  • Prove it

  • too bad youre never on when it counts.

  • 81, your 15, bullshit...

  • i threw 81 when i was 15 y is he bullshitting? i threw consistent 81 when i was 15 too lol now im 18 i throw a lot harder now but im not telling lol

  • Whats funny is most of these people making comments exaggerate a bit about how fast they throw, but your claim is like saying you can fly!

  • i throw 65-70 mph (im 13) 4-seam, 2-seam, cutter, nasty slurve, nasty splitter, good curveball, good slider, sinker and a circle change

  • well by the time your 20 you wont be able to throw period, so good for you

  • not hard

  • lier!!

  • eephus is a pitch that goes hella slow like 50 miles an hour

  • im 16 and i throw 87 and also throw a nasty knuckle curve along with a change up and slider

  • i a 4 seam fastball about 80 mph n a curve slider nd a knucklecurve

  • im 14 and i throw a fastball 83 and curve, slider, 3 finger splitter, dropball

  • bullshit 83mph

  • keep on thinkin that

  • I throw a 4 seam fastball, 2 seam fastball, curveball, slider, splitter, knuckle ball, 12-6 curve, slurve, sinker, palmball, knucklecurve, changeup, cirlcechanguep, gyro ball, eephus, screwball, cutter, running fastball, forkball, and a sweeping curve. thats all

  • Thats way to many pitches

  • lol

  • no you can not because then you would not be human!

  • Da you dumbass

  • 125mph come on my dead grampa wouldnt even fall for that..

  • yeahh right. if u did u would be in the Majors

  • i could throw a baseball!

  • sliders can actually be really hard on your arm, i used to throw a really good slider but then it started to hurt my elbow so i had to stop. Curveballs, for me at least, hurt my arm a lot less

  • no a curveball can be harder on arm if u throw it properly and actually have break on it a slider does the same thing but less stress to arm because it only breaks if u throw it a little sidearm

  • But there are a few different types of sliders. The one i use does no more stress to your arm then a Fastball if thrown correctly.

  • no aprendi nada

  • ¿usted tiene una pregunta? Mi amigo puede traducir.

  • whats up with his change-up though? isnt it a fastball grip?

  • It is a fastball grip, but the ball is set back in the palm instead of on the fingertips. The motions is the same so the pitch is deceiving but the release is slower.

  • that i believe, wouldnt make a big difference in velocity maybe 5 mph? or is there somehow a technic to it? im just curious since i though changeup was thrown with middle and ring finger. thats strange to me.

  • I can't imagine a slider is as terrible on ur arm as its made out to be. Thats Smoltz's signature pitch and hes pitched for how long?

  • cut fast ball , circle change then the slider is a deadly combo

  • the slider is the hardest pitch in baseball to hit... the change up is pretty hard to hit too.

  • Can anyone tell me how to throw a sinker? I have been all over the internet trying to find out, and only found little hints(and I still cant do it).

  • you don't expect to throw sinkers in a day do you?

  • no I meant that I've been trying to find out how to throw a sinker for a long time.

  • Curveballs aren't hard on your arm if you throw them right.

  • i throw a sinker. fast and easy outs.

  • ...people are different. i have some buddies in college who throw curveballs like 80% of the time, and their wrists/arms are fine, whereas mine hurts if i throw 2 in a row... alot of really good pitchers have really damaged their wrists throwing curveballs...its no secret.

  • I pitch very well and I know from experience that a slider is worse on your arm because you use your elbowlike mootime said.

  • The proper way to throw a slider is to use your wrist, not an elbow.

  • wen ure ahead in the count....throw a up and in fast ball....den come with the 12-6 change.....it works for me...

  • dont you mean a 12 to 6 curveball and that does not work change the hitters eye level

  • i threw cut fast ball broke 18inches

  • i only use a few pitches. on the 1st pitch i throw a 4 seam fastball, on the second a 2 seam fastball, and on the third a slider

  • i have heard alot of different things about sliders and curve balls and the effect they have on your arm but im not really sure for me i stick with fastballs and change but change speeds often

  • not bad on your arm if you throw it with your wrist and not your elbow.

  • i was always taught that a slider is worse on your arm than a curve, possibly the worst pitch on your arm in baseball.

  • isn't this the guy who Jonathan Papelbon takes his aproach 2 the hitter from?

  • A slider is bad on your arm too.

  • no...actually it isnt

  • you apply pressure with your middle finger and use it to "cut" through the ball as you throw it

  • what did he say?....so u hold the ball like a fastball and tilt it to the side and throw

  • HE IS AMAZING!! THANKS MR.

  • i would love to talk with him for an hour just so he could teach me everything he knows. He looks really dedicated
