  • Louis Cyr back lift  4337 pound within the limit of his strenth. Never show his real strenth to keep competitive. Considered the strongest man of all time.

    Victor Delamarre French Canadian did a backlift of almost 7 000 pound ( 6 985 pound) around 1920 before reliable withnesses including a notary. Delamarre was 5'7'', and only 160 pound.

    Hector Decarie another French Canadian did 3885 and 4267 pound in his carrer.

    John B. Gagnon a Franco-American backlift 4100 pound.
