I think the answer to this question depends not only on the man in question, but the transexual as well. That is, the more cleanly feminine a transexual appears in terms of features, the less likely her male partner is to be plainly homosexual.Though it is true most straight men will not date a transexual at face, some will make allowances depending on how the appearance of said transexual reconciles with that of a pretty female.

some men prefer gay men and transsexuals, i know i do plus females. But i would say straight because the guys investing in the idea and notion that who he's with is emotionally a women, with that in mind he can better cope with the fact he is dating a biological male(for the time being). Some men have bedded transwomen but snapped and turned hostile because they cannot reconcile the paradox.

I say straight. Men who are gay like the male persona/look/body. Men who date transexual women like the female look/persona/ etc. Just my opinion.

I think so too but when people ask me,"so do you date gay guys or what...... how does that work exactly?"

it makes me think that maybe I'm wrong and I'm just biased and wanting men to think of me as a biological woman.
