There would be a lot of advantages to using this method of securing the cans,

1, you save on the cost of gluing the cans together.

2, you save on time as you don't have to wait for any glue to dry.

3. because you are doubling the thickness of the can wall you are also increasing it's thermal mass which means it can hold onto heat for longer.

@Redshift21 Yes I do, and I found this out because I couldn´t find a good enough glue :)
