What I am saying is... Maybe some or even all of the stuff that has been said or written about him is true. It's unlikely that everything written is completely true... but... say it was...
The music remains. Most of it is at least good. A considerable proportion of it is pure magic. I love what he left us.

Then he had to go and die when I was 14. I felt like somebody kicked me in the stomach - I would have loved to see what he could have come up with had he still been alive. His death was such a waste and so needless - if I ever meet one of the Memphis Mafia I am kicking him in the balls SOB

The guy/dude organizing the Aloha Hawaii concert show told Elvis to slim down for the sattelite broadcast and Elvis jumped up and hugged the guy! None of his so-called friends did that for him! I listen to all who sing this Mary in The Morning but I prefer Elvis version... is more angelic and heavenly sound.Its too bad he is not with us anymore but Elvis still entertaining us from heaven.
There are too many elvis songs ,like this one, that NEVER gets any air play time ,or the recognition they deserve ! This magical song is another elvis classic, that is not so well known outside of the elvis fan base .I always find it hard to understand why ?

Finding it hard to say what i feel. No one will ever come close to Elvis, THE greatest singer / entertainer of all time. This song has to be one of his best. His voice just got better as he grew older. Can you imagine the music he would have made if we hadn't lost him so soon?
I prefer this Elvis version because he relates passionately and so well to the story embedded in the song. The others were good as well, but the nuance stated above was just not there.
the King did so much so well. and I have about 20 "all-time favourites" by him. this one's on the list-I think it's one of the greatest ballads he ever did. so sad that his voice was stilled too tragically much too young. NOBODY will ever come close to him. NOT EVER. thanks for posting.
This is such a very beautiful, heavenly, romantic, heartfelt and passionate song and Elvis easily has the very best rendition of it. This is easily one of my most favorite Elvis recordings. I loved this video immensely, 10 Stars.

I never heard Elvis sing this one. I recall Glenn Campbell's version, but his voice doesn't do this song justice like Presley's does here.
