You're technically supposed to trade for them. Since I used an emulator, I just activated an AR code and helped myself. It's not impossible, just more trouble than it's worth.
I thought you may be interested to know that if you panel lock Serenade, he becomes unable to twirl and therefor you can attack him without having to wait for an opening; iirc. It has been a while.
Yesh indeed, but the only problem with that is I'd need all four stealing chips in the first draw, which isn't helped by the fact that my folder only has three. =P
That said, I thought the little projectile dance looked funny, so I figured it was a good way to speed up the process (otherwise he won't be vulnerable for somewhere in the zone of 20 seconds.

the bosses were scared to battle me, you cant see it cause i edited it out but chaud told protoman to run and proto said "...dang its no good"
during an attempt i rejected cause it took too long, bass was using recov300 like it was his only move
