Just wanted to warn you that peroxide is harmful to dogs and will cause vomiting if too much is ingested. As a professional groomer, I use a product called Fresh Facial Scrub by Spa from Tropiclean. Its harmless to dogs and I find it does a wonderful job removing that staining. Also, there are other factors that cause that staining, its a yeasty type reaction to something in their food. Try switching your dog food to something with NO CORN products and I am positive that you will see a change
Hi thanks for your comment. I agree with you that the best way to combat the problem is finding the underlying cause. Rascal is on a completely corn free diet. Short of finding and eliminating the cause, we resort to treating the symptom. Thank you for your product suggestion, while Rascal has not suffered any ill effects with the peroxide,(I do not believe the concoction has enough to sicken him) I am for anything that is just as effective, and safer.
