  • this is like my dads works unit he also has a colchester student :)

  • How did you keep all the fuses and circuit breakers from popping with everything on simultaneously like that?

  • it mite be a shitpit but id give my left nut to have it

  • you workshop is a pig pen

  • @PooPusher007 PooPusher........hahahahahaha............says it all

  • surface grindr is too slow in cross-feed,can get heat checking doing that.

  • next time id like to see both mills running, surface grinder, lathes, and bandsaw all at once!! im clicking subscribe now...

  • u reserfise wshit with spark plus in it? and u lissen to some gay as fucking music... wtf

  • @KLONIME1001 ..........Err not sure what is wrong with skimming with plugs in??? and if the music is gay well I'll have to agree with someone who clearly is gay. keep your negative shit to yourself and learn how to write English if your going try and communicate in it, enjoy your block.

  • im going to high school to be a machinist and if i left any machine that dirty my shop teacher would kick my ass

  • @DjWuzHear ........if you ever get lucky enough to work on your own for yourself and you happen to be able to get busy enough to make any money at it......come back and let us know if you get a chance to have a clear up after every job mate, i tend to have a sweep around every couple of days.....it's ok if your working at someone elses expense. When I have got work ......I do it till its all done ,then I might clean up!

  • if my boss would see that chaos at the machines with all those stuff lying there he would kill you

  • That would depend on weather he would like to be wearing his bollocks as earrings or not ,would'nt it

  • Your workshp is little bit large than my workshop... cool!!! :D

  • It's where it all starts my dads Business went from acouple of lathes and milling machines to 7 CNC machines and 7 workers but the best part of it is you get job satifaction out of it. Here in australia I am currently doing an apprenticeship on absolute minimal wage $7.00 Im only 15 so it's actually alot of money with no liabilities. and I work on average 10 hours a day with my dad we always trying to get jobs out the door sometimes we work weekends and we still don't make a large amount.......

  • Of money yet the steel mill in the next town people are getting paid about $60-$75 PH (average for normal machinist is $35) & have been told by these people for doing NOTHING they went On strike because there contract ran out & they could not sit around and get paid double the average amounts of normal machinist. we work very hard get paid shit and there's cunts out there doing this to us we are the real workers and were the ones who should be getting paid for hard work!

  • Fuck music while doing any precision work...i like to hear me making chips....sound tells me everything

  • A real ENGINEERING shop and fuck health and safety .

  • @swur health and WHAT ???????

  • 3 years. Why 3 yrs ago I was making parts for people at a rate that came out to $7 an hr when all was said and done. If I needed any work done by a buddy cause I don't have the machine he charged $60 an hr.

  • @Shombroni you can do without mates like that!!

  • YOu can smell cutting fluid? My neighbors say that I smell like cutting fluid. Hobby that turned into a money maker. Problem is at the end of the day I don't have the strength to turn or mill another part as a hobby. I just wish I knew where to drum up more work.

  • @Shombroni.... this was someone elses workshop that I ran for a while ,in my other vids is my workshop...only got a lathe and a mill and youre right about the work finding bit mate.....its taken me nearly 3 years and some bad times to actually start to make some money out of it!

  • Nice shop you have there :) There's nothing built like a solid old machine.

  • I swear I can smell cutting fluid when I watch this, mate!

  • Its 950 PM I was home at 7 have been showered and changed .....even I can still smell it mate!!!!

  • Like the shop, love the closing comment :-)

I don't know if I could do this stuff for a job...Think I might get to the point where it wasn't as much fun?

I just like the hobby side of it..... although don't get much of that done at the mo' !

Still want all the tooling and machinery though! :-)

Want to see this gimble in action now....

  • I bloody love it!!!! working on my own for myself....all the time...with whatever music I like ,as loud as I like... it could not be nicer,I am well happy ;o)

  • Nice video, I have a Clausing just like yours but don't know the vintage (year of manufacture), do you know when yours was made?

The surface grinder looks like my K.O.Lee

and my J head Bridgeport is probably as old as yours is too! Old machines are fantastic, they hold a bit of antiquity, like the spirits of the men who used them and bonded with them over years in the same workplace.

Nice operation you got there, I'd feel at home there in your shop.

    Thanks...

  • ya gotta be from Tipton......?

  • Nah ,hastings ,sussex

  • Real nice shop...how many sq.ft.?? I got a garage back home that's 480 sq.ft. that I'm turning into a shop...I'm picking up pointers from guys like you...watching your vids.

  • U complain alot m8, thats a nice shop! :)Do u run all the machines there at the same time!? Ure a multi tasker then!!!

  • certainly am!!!!!! it was the only way to get the work done when I was the only one there!

  • looks like a normal workshop that actually does some work instead of polishing their tools, once went to a shop where the swarf was 6 inches deep

  • Thanks for that i will try that.Ihave a Colchester Triumph & Mascot 1600 .But i do mainly welding & fabrication .I use the 1600 for tractor flywheels & brake plates.Good luck to you buddy .George

  • I have a friend who crack tests diesel heads for me however he can only do a cold test......all he does is bolts plates with rubber gaskets over all the holes and then pressurises the water jacket and submerges the head ,seems to work ok. I have just set up my own workshop now and am working for myself just doing what i can for whoever i can ,I already had my own colchester bantam wich although small is a very usefull machine, and also bought a bridgeport br2j mill ,been well busy!

  • A busy workshop not a shit hole!Just started up on my own.Got a Mostana6M13Y vertical mill. How do u test for cracks in cylinder heads?I agree with Alfwedarf every one wants to make gates!!!

  • A shithole mate ? I would give a bollock to do that work :) It's a shame that more of this isn't done in the UK anymore.
