@blahhduhhx3 i still have the phone but not the service. after i jailbroke it repeatedly the os started to lag very much. i now have a palm pre plus, and webOS is pretty good compared to iPhone OS but not 100% better - there are plenty of bugs.

refurb is basically a used phone, that has went back to the factory and been made like new.

they are cheaper for many different reasons. one is because att doesnt have to pay apple/ phone makers the subsidy values

its in good condition. the bezel on the left is slightly (.05 cm) bowed out and there is a tiny light leak but I am not fretting, yet. I am thinking about going up to apple and seeing if they will replace it though.
