  • better get some fiber supplements :/

  • true american hero

  • Interesting. I would keep them around in the event that I couldn't find anything else to eat, but that seem highly unlikely. People are everywhere and they are simply nothing more than game, if it came down to it. I would have zero problem eating someone, slow cooked over a campfire. That would be my first choice in severe times/events.

  • When will the time come that we the people will have to defend ourselves from an out of control tyrannical government

  • Thanks...Now I know what the Soylent Green is gonna look like!

  • where did you get those

  • Hey you know what,,,if you're REALLY hungry,,,anything will taste like heaven,,,

  • Some food store very well, indefinitely. Dry foods, like noodles, pwdered milk, sugar, corn meal, beans, oats, farina, grits. Refined foods don't last as long but can be good for a few years, wheat flour, pwdrd eggs. Some canned wet food and meats can last basically forever. Dried meats, fruits and vegies can also last long times as long as kept at low moisture contnt. Minerals, like salt, sodium bicarb, alum last forever dry. Good to remember.

    Good video thanks.

  • Where did you buy the Mayday bars?

  • your a pussy

  • fuckin sweet! we gonna be eatin these vanilla bars as the world burns!

  • @CardsDefense true, people seem to be worried about what to eat, and they should be worried about their soul.

  • Why in the hell would you 2 decide to get pregnant in these horrific times? You DO know what is fast approaching, don't you?

We'll be fighting in the streets

With our children at our feet

And the morals when they worship will be gone

And the men who spurred us on

Sit in judgement of all wrong

They decide and the shotgun sings the song

...So YOU thought you'd have a baby...

  • soon you wont be so picky its going to be very bad when the stores are looted and every one is looking to steal from everyone else

  • seed stock, get one, seeds are good for years, sometimes decades

  • so everyone knows the steps that an army survival course teach are:

test possible food source on skin for 15-20 min, then on lips 15-20min, then let sit on tongue for 15-20, then eat small portion and wait for an hour.

bear in mind these are all with no reaction on the preceding step and for thing you suspect of being inedible but like the vid says extreme circumstances

    peace to all

  • Yes I remember that from the Roger's Rangers field manual!

    Quite a good read.

  • dont worry, man, if you ever need to eat mayday bars, you will have stopped being a picky eater by then

  • Honestly. If you were starving and on the verge of death.. your not going to worry about if its cooked or not.. much less how it taste...

  • Awsome vid. I learned and laughed at the same time.

  • I've tried the ER bars. My mouth and throat swell a little when I eat them. I don't think it'll hurt me.

  • Excellent information. Thank you very much.

    Kai

    London, England.

  • The best food bar on the market right now is the Hammer Bar. No GM, full of goodies. Hard to find though.

  • It has a lot of oil and lard in it, tastes like brown sugar and seeds crushed together. Lots of calories - which is good. 5 year shelve life, but really edible for 15+ years.

Buy canned beans and chili in bulk at Costco, canned tuna, many other cheaper more palitable alternatives.

  • Those bars are not healthy at all. As a matter of fact, I think they're crap. I would recommend getting some decent whole food bars that are a lot more than just calories and chemicals.

  • Vitamins ARE chemicals.

  • I should have said toxic chemicals. Thanks for correcting me.

  • For the next video catch a squirrel & eat it raw?

  • Squirrel is pretty good if you cook it right.

I like it with a fresh garlic black/white pepper rub.

Oven on broil at 325 for 12-14 minutes, turning twice.

  • Never heard that before! Now that's the "Touch".

  • That sounds good. I have a lot of squirrels around where I stay...I already know how to catch them.

  • Thanks for the info vision

  • thx for the support

  • Is this video an ad for the stuffed food you ate?

  • lol - no, just testing it out. thx :)

  • VisonVictory, I don't know how many months old your baby is, but wouldn't you say that knowing what you know, that times now aren't prime at all for a baby. You predict very disturbing stuff like no food, no house to life in. Marshall Law knocking down our doors. All in all Congratulations dude.

  • where is a good internet site to buy these?

  • now u'll be eating that every day for a while lolz

  • Is it soylent green just being funny thanks again...

  • LOL, VV the first to take a bite of Soylent Green.

  • soylent green is people too

  • SOYLENT GREEN IS MADE OF PEOPLE!!!

  • hehe i know my friend hasa shirt that says that and I cant help but laugh

  • keep selling that VV

  • dibbuck: What i wrote about peanuts may sound absurd but it is true. A certain % of the population are deathly allergic to nuts and even their odor. Hence, most airlines stopped serving bag o nuts, and many rootin tootin steak houses stopped giving them away. Nuts can kill in an enclosed enviornment.

  • They stopped serving peanuts on planes because some people will die from just smelling them.

  • that is absurd! ha ha ha!

  • An allergic reaction can be as great as anaphyllatic shock causing death and the end of all discomfort or a warm fuzzy feeling and sweat. The best home rx for an allergic reaction is benydril. Those calorie/nutrition bars would even kill Yule Brinner if he was diabetic.

  • I doubt more than 1 in 1000 people would have even a mild reaction to that bar. Look at the ingredients.

  • Wheat grass can be easily grown in the house. Amazing amount of nutrition and all you need to do is store the seeds.

  • If you are a picky eater, that's more of a problem in those situation than lack of personal food stocks.

If you eat strong tasting stuff, you get used to it. (I've been eating spices.) And it would allow you to eat yucky and poisonous stuff without freaking out, puking, or the gut not digesting it properly.

I don't think you need to wait nearly as much as 2 hours to check for allergic reaction though and you could eat onions or chili pepper against allergies and ingest caffeine anyway.

  • Where do you get these?

  • Did you check for Geneticaly Modified Foods in there. What about MSG and whole bunch of chemicals in there.

I bet those bars are very toxic.

  • agreed

  • Mayday bar, . . Mayday brick more like.

  • Gangrene shoots.

  • I just saw pundits on TV say that Obama doesn't even know how much money will be spent in the coming months, much less how many jobs will be saved or created. 120,000 of those jobs are temporary summer employment for teens that will expire at the end of summer. Plus jobs saved cannot be measured or verified, so it's ALL hokus pokus! Remember, the administration said unemployment won't go above 8%. Clearly, they know nothing and only want to employ their socialist policy.

  • This "Economic Stimulus Package" is nothing more than an excuse for the Democrats to ram through all the spending that they've been dying for during the last 8 years. There's not a single thing in this package which will have the slightest long-term positive effect on the economy. It will however, guarantee that our dollar will be worth a lot less next year as they print up trillions more in fiat currency.

  • Dude I really appreciate your videos man. At first I wasn't too interested because you don't address the hardcore aspects of the global conspiracy but I have developed an immense respect for you non the less. Please continue doing what you are doing. I know you are helping many many people.

  • Thank you, my objective is to help as many as possible. There are others out there where people can explore just how deep the rabbit hole goes ;)

  • and you are smart for leaving it to them..you've got a baby coming!

  • Stock market up today. Oil down. Obama to create 600,000 jobs. Green shoots everywhere.

  • Stan1208 - It's not green shoots you can see it's weeds. Seriously though, the fundamentals are bad, major public and Government debt. Stock market relies on sentiment, not on logic, I can assure you stocks will take a major dive within a year, when reality finally kicks in.

Anyone that understands fractional reserve banking will know that the game is up, the fiat currency will falter, it's backed by nothing. A dose of reality therapy is required, need to get back to the gold standard

  • If you are a picky eater then ALWAYS try your Long Term Storage food to see if you like it!! Good Video.

  • What is the half-life of that stuff?

  • It is not a singular drug so there would be no way to get a pk measure of half life of a bar...if this was a serious comment.

It will metabolize as if it were any other bar you would eat.

  • Chill out, I was engaging in some badinage; I was lampooning the utilitarian nature of Vision's reserve compressed nutrient slab.

  • * isnt afraid

  • i tihnk VV is a pretty cool guy eh knows wut 2eat and doenst against of anyfinck

  • please repeat the name of the bar..

  • mayday bar....I bought mine in a catalog...Emergency Essentials...they have a web site I believe...

  • MAYDAY

  • What is in the pack that one may be allergic to it?

Other than the pack, with wild food sources you can use the same technique for testing reaction. Before that, with other sources one can observe if animals eat something, it may be ok. Test something in the hand first, then in the crease of your elbow area between forearm and upper arm (like when you curl a weight). Keep in place at least 15 minutes before next stage.

Remeber, when unsure of a source, you can NEVER overcook something.

  • Well, it certainly looks appetizing. Great hazmat packaging! Nothing quite like a big yellow rectangular hunk of inert matter to get the day started.

  • Hope the above proves useful to you.

  • Nuts so long as they are kept dry have an indefinite shelf life and contain calcium and protein;

    Salmon - approx 3 year shelf life contains protein and vitamin D and fatty acids;

    Crab and lobster - approx 3 year shelf life contains vitamin B1 and proteins;

Multi vitamins can have a shelf life of 10 years, & should be added to the above - because vitamin content of stored items declines slowly over time.

  • Canned spaghetti - approx 2 year shelf life contains carbohydrates, and iron;

    Canned macaroni - appox 2 year shelf life contains carbohydrates and iron;

    Canned stews - approx 2 year shelf life includes vegetables and proteins;

    Canned vegetable soup approx 2 year shelf life includes vegetables and proteins;

    Canned Pineapple - approx 3 year shelf life (important for vitamin C);

    Honey is virtually unlimited in terms of shelf life (great for calories);

  • As this video is about food, here is some infor what I've found a while ago, and have taken up on by stocking up:

    Rice - so long as it is kept dry has an indefinite shelf life, is easily digestible and contains carbohydrates and vitamin B and other goodness;

Pasta - content is like rice, and so long as it is kept dry has an indefinite shelf life.

    Canned beans - approx 2 year shelf life contains proteins and sugars;

  • Thanks for the reminder.

My sister and I were talking about all the different things you could do with Ramen noodles last night. (Not using the packet of seasonings that comes with it.)

Tons of ideas. With just some peanut oil or something that would last better than salad dressings, and/or other seasonings, or if you had a garden, make a stir fry adding them in. Great side dish with venison. :)

Ramen noodles and spices are light weight to carry too.

  • Yea it would taste better. The main problem with stocking up on canned goods is the amount of it you'll need. We're not sure if these bastards plan on starving us for a month or a year or two. Not that canned foods would expire within that time frame, it's just that you'll need the storage, the mobility if necessary, and you'll have to consider family if you have one. I still think that dehydrating to store is a more viable option in regards to food stockpiling.

  • Havent i seen you on Discovery Living channel?

And you had a handyman called Danny?

And you and your wife buy & resell houses?

  • Give me some. Go Vision!

  • Vitwater is awful!

  • twinkies.

  • How mobile are chickens, trees, and gardens? Mayday bars are exactly that, Mayday. Throw them in a bag and get the hell out of town.

Or for people in the city who have limited food storage.

  • Hey Vision,

With Chickens all you have to do is catch them and tie their legs together with string and throw them in the back of car, they are then ready to go! been there, done it!

  • lol- thx

  • im an ex-Army Ranger n i JUST got out. but all i can say is u have a point. i spent a week in the woods with 4 mre's an one of the guys had a mayday bar that he brought. there great for survival, but not the everyday thing (of course). thanx 4 the vid. have a good one bro - J.D.

  • I'll stock up on canned beans and spam instead.

  • have you ever eaten squirrels or rabbits?

all you need is a pellet rifle

  • sugar is probably its main ingredient

  • where do you get those bars and how long do they stay good til expired?

  • It really doesn't matter how it taste; if you're hungry enough you'll eat almost anything.

  • anything.

  • I saw your title and *immediately* thought

    MOM!

  • lol

  • Because with all the things that the government is doing, the things your mentioning may not be possible. I've already dehydrated a bunch of food in anticipation of the next coming crisis. If you're planning on being able to go to the store and buy food, or even access your bank for money, then I suggest you take a look at what happened to Venezuela in 2001. We're headed right down that path buddy.

  • where did you get that thing and whats it made from...

  • found it, thanks google...lol

  • That thing is huge. Looks like it should last several days or even a week if there is an serious shortage.

  • Google PEMMICAN

  • I'll pass it doesn't look good for me.

Gotta store more rice/wheat and grow a garden

  • Where can i get some of those, i have 50kgs of rice. lots of pasta and oatmeal. i could use some of those.

  • THIS FOOD PRODUCT IS safe for vegetarians and anyone allergic to nut oils.

Mayday food rations can be stored outside up to 149 degrees (ºF) and can be eaten without preparation.

INGREDIENTS: Enriched Flour, Vegetable Shortening, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Soy Flour, Cornstarch, Potassium Sorbate, (Vitamins listed above), Artificial Lemon Flavoring, Artificial Vanilla Flavoring, Artificial Butter Flavoring, Artificial Coloring (Egg Shade).

  • The look on your face looked like it was bad...but then you said it was good!

  • Paranoia is a sad state of mind. How many people have to actually use emergency rations?? Maybe 1-2% of people? And how many people have these kinds of emergency provisions sitting in their shelters or cars?? Too many, I'd guess. Says something about american's state of mind. Paranoid. There's always something evil around the corner. I think it's due to Christian religion. Sad.

  • So if something like a Zimbabwe situation happens in the US, would you rather:

    a) Be panning for gold just to feed yourself for the day

    or

    b) barter with food, gold, and silver to help you and your family survive.

It's not like most of us on here have 100% of our wealth in elephant guns, bomb shelters, and GPS technology.

Nothing wrong with an extra few months of food you will eat anyway on file.... just in case. Heaven forbid you are prepared for a SHTF case.

  • I'm reading up on 'collective psychic pollution';

The collective consciousness of this planet is a reflection of everyone's inner attitudes and energy.

If everyone continues to focus on what they're

afraid of, and what they're worried about happening that has not even happened yet...

eventually ( those people ) will all most likely get exactly what they created in their minds.

Then they will try to blame gov't instead of being responsible for their own lives.

    Yes... truly sad indeed.

  • Yes, it's called the law of attraction. Reality is a consciouness field created by thoughts and emotions. Physicality is not nearly as solid as the five senses would tell us. In fact, under the microscope it's 99.99% empty space. Of course, the total spectrum of energy in creation goes far beyond what our eyes can see. Thought does manifest, though most people are unable to recognize it when it happens.

I've prepared because it's a sensible thing to do. Do I let fear run me? No. Balance.

  • I have the ones from quakekare (dot) com. I tried one the other day and it wasn't too bad.. tasted like a really bland pound cake. Not something I'd want to eat every day, but they're great for bug out bags or keeping a couple in the car JIC.

  • Just like in the Lord of the Rings, where Frodo and Samwise eat Lembas bread on the way to Mordor, Daniel, George, and Manoftruth eat from their stash of Mayday bars on the next adventure to, ah, say the upcoming VisionVIctory seminar.

  • Hey, if their quest is to return balance to the US by starting a movement to end the FED, I say eat all the Mayday bars you can man... and be weary of the precious....

  • If any of you voted for GOP at any point in your lives you are to blame for the BUSH Depression.

  • So people that voted for Ron Paul are the problem for a depression that was staged well before Bush's presidency. Bush's got us a $800B bailout and Obama matched it and surpassed it. The Fed not caring about either party, bailed out its banker buddies to the tune of $12T by printing money out of thin air. I guess that is Bush's fault as well. You should restate it by saying if you voted Republican and/or democrat since 1913, you are to blame for the oncoming depression.

  • Yep, Wilson, FDR, Truman, Johnson, Nixon, and Bush II - the axis of entitlements and spending

  • wow, yeah, because it wasn't like this was building up for decades now. And your boy obama is doing the same shit as Bush, but worse

  • MyaHolburnz, do you think voting gives you a real voice?

  • during the great depression squirrels and gophers nearly became extict. if you want to stay ahead of the game learn how to kill, skin and cook a squirrel!

  • My dad survived on shooting squirrels, rabbits, and deer in the back woods of PA - he stared shooting game at six years old. His father barely worked due to chronic alcoholism and there was seldom food in the house. To survive he had to hunt. He's still a great shot. He shoots them still for my sister who loves squirrel stew.

  • He supported his family doing this - parents and five siblings. He still scrapes mold off of bread cuz he doesn't want to waste it. He remembers the great depression. He scavenges from road sides stuff that he can fix up and use. He's inspirational.

  • For anyone wondering:

Ingredients: Enriched Flour, Vegetable Shortening, Sugar, Corn Syrup, Soy Flour, Cornstarch, Potassium Sorbate, (Vitamins listed above), Artificial Lemon Flavoring, Artificial Vanilla Flavoring, Artificial Butter Flavoring, Artificial Coloring (Egg Shade).

Does anyone know of a more natural emergency bar (with a long shelf life). To me, this looks like a lot of junk to put into my body -especially when, if stressed, it needs real nutrition.

  • I've not seen a commercial bar yet but I've been making a canned product that anyone can do. It's called "cake in a jar" I got the recipe on the endtimereport web site. All you do is grease/flour pint canning jars fill them 1/2 full of batter, bake for 30 min. Take out of oven, add simmered lid. The recipe is an applesauce nut cake you won't need the soy flour for protein. I'm trying a choc. pound cake with ground nuts. cons= glass jar, no vitamin, they mentioned a min. three year shelf life.

  • So how long will the food shortage last if there is one???

  • VV, thanks to your advice I decided to order a 24 case of the 400 calorie Mayday mini bars off Ebay. I like the idea, but eating the encyclopedia was too much for me... keep making us think and try something different.

If you always do what you always did, then you'll always get what you always got.

  • That looks like a big book, that or you're got small chipmunk hands VisionVictory ;D

I've stocked up on vitamins, got about a years worth, maybe a year and a half.

  • Where can I buy these?

  • Just google it or search on ebay.

  • Looks as though our young economist has lost some weight too. Getting into to shape? Not a bad idea. Your going to need it when the muffin gets there. Mine are all grown and are working around the world, but I can still remember the early mornings. Bitter sweet and worth every last minute. Nothing is more important than family Dan.

  • yeah i t looks like a brick that would last one week

also why woukd u have alergies? from a meal replacement bar?

also human body can go easolly up 30 days without food only water

  • 30 days without food (only water) would make me an unfriendly camper.

  • where can I get that? I live in Canada.

  • Amazon stock them.

  • Ramen Noodles and Microwave Burritos excellennt Depression/Recession Foods!!!!

  • id rather die than eat that shit ...hahahahaha

  • That's what I've been eating in the good times! Dang. Guess I'll have to try the snails.

  • RUTH CHRIS!!!! RUTH CHRIS!!!!

    in chunk form

  • not even close :(

  • I like this and am glad you posted on your main page. I do check V V Independence on occasion, but this way I didn't miss it.

  • Visionvictory I see you have 2400 calorie bars, I saw some 3600 calorie bars what about those are they better?

How much of the bar are you supposed to eat it looks big in the video.

  • The 3600 calorie bar is broken into 9 smaller bars and the 2,400 one is broken down into 6 smaller bars.

  • interesting who your more recent videos (not includin this 1) have considerably fewer channel views than older ones , and the opposite would seem more acurate as u have developed a bigger following, FWIW

  • youtube view counters have been notoriously inaccurate of late. The counters get "stuck" at a certain # and don't reflect actuals reliably very often.

  • I used to post every other week, which allowed videos to grow. For some reason if you post a new video with youtube, it stunts the growth of the most previous. For example, my last vid averaged 4,000 and could of done that for a few weeks. But by posting a new vid, the last vid drops to 300 views a day. Not sure why, since both are still newer vids. But thats the way its always been.

    thx for your concern

  • LOL

  • I read the ingredients...nasty.

  • I'm sorry VV, but I looked at the ingredients list on those things a while ago to see if it was something I wanted and that stuff is disgusting.

I'm formulating something much better made of spirulina, coconut oil (resists heat) and honey which will be so much better. I'll contact you later and send you some.

What good is it to stay alive if you're clutching your distended stomach in pain? Blech!

(Liked your chickens & goats video though!)

  • thx for the comments, no worries about the mayday bars.

  • Well, what is the bar called?

  • That was a mayday bar, but check out quake kare bars.

  • Thanks. The quake kare ER bars cost much less than the mayday bars.

  • The mayday bars are a much better taste though Ive heard. I know some people wont care as its all about price and having it when you need it but for picky eaters like my wife and I it makes a difference. You get what you pay for. Ebay has good prices on Mayday bars. Get the 400 or 1200 calorie sizes..better than the huge brick Daniel had.

  • You'd be better off with the chicken eggs, honey, a garden and lots and lots of beer and don't forget wine and hard liquor. Plant some fruit trees for a sustainable food source. Some powdered milk might be good too.

  • Do you know Halva. It looks like Halva. Does it taste like it.

Jaysus I want some Halva now

  • I'm a food scientist.

Anything that has a low water activity (very little moisure) will last a long time at ambient storage. The bars that you see in the supermarket (ie. Balance bars, Cliff bars, etc..) will ALL last about 2 years at room temperature. They will probably last even longer if kept in air tight bags or containers.

If refrigerated, these bars should last about 4 years. If you freeze them, they will last around 8-10 years if they are air tight.

  • I wouldn't eat that processed crap if you payed me (no offense). I suppose it would be good for extreme emergencies, though.

There's food everywhere, if you know where to find it. Heck, I've even been eating snails (escargot) from my garden.

  • well it's good for emergency, good to have just in case. What happens if you run out of regular food and its winter? no garden, going to be a little tough to find food, especially if you have someone to take care of.

  • Hey, if snails is your plan, then good luck. More power to you, but I'll stick with an MRE or food bar. Plus, you have to prepare for not being able to go outside in certain areas.

  • The snails are just one of a thousand wild food sources. I've discovered that most of the weeds in my yard are edible too. If an emergency happens, you not only need to stay alive, you need to stay fit. I'd rather store something more healthy, like: rice, dried beans, dried fruit, beef jerky, trail mix, etc, but to each their own. Great vid, as usual. ;)

  • good idea im getting twenty of them thank you.

  • Im getting 10,000 of these! thnx again!

  • Lol, it wouldn't surprise me if he ate the whole thing after the video. I know I would...

  • for the record, it went into a new package and was placed in my main freezer.

  • man. I'm hungry now. You had to make a video on good eats didn't you! GRR.

  • BBQ Tomatoes, one of my favorites

    Cut the tomato in half

Brush on some virgin olive oil

crushed garlic/dash of salt/parsley/ and fresh ground pepper.

Let each side cook over an open flame for about 5 minute or until the tomato is ready to collapse like the economy.

    YUMMY :)

  • Can you get those in the UK?

  • Not those as such, but you can get similar emergancy food from a number of outlets on the web. See my earlier post reply on this topic.

  • Neat product. Quick question, don't you believe in not being armed or something? I seem to recall a debate between you and someone else about that issue and thought you said you didn't believe in being armed.

  • I have made a personal decision not to own a hand gun, but i have nothing against people owning them. I own plenty of hunting rifles and shotguns.

Hand guns are for killing people, I prefer to own guns that have other purposes, but can also be used to defend my home.

  • I see. I'm not exactly sure how to respond to something like that, without being extremely sarcastic. Good luck though.

  • shotguns are the ultimate home defense, good enough if you ask me.

  • Correction if I may; hand guns are not made for killing people. Please, they are trying to take our gun rights away as it is. If "We The People" didn't have our right to bear arms, who knows where we all would be right now. (I can assure you that it would be a lot worse though). Here's only one of many important examples for owning/having a hand gun: Hunters use them for quick self protection against snakes, bears, and other critters in the wild when hunting.

  • Your right, but again, its my personal view.

  • Thanks for the info.

  • there we go, thanks for the MRE vid, bc i was wonderin about this....

  • Thanks for the comments
