i think the philippines must have made a respectful stature for always winning competitions abroad.i always heard in the news of philippine choral groups winning international competetions every now and then even the children .
Nice sound, especially the basses, but I think the tempo is way too slow and it stays that way throughout. This piece just drags on forever if you don't pick it up a little. The cadences need a little stretch, of course, but the piece gets so much more expressive if you vary the tempo.

I saw and heard this choir last July at the Philam Life Auditorium, sumasakit ang kamay ko sa ka clap. Tumatayo ang balahibo ko sa ganda ng blending nila... their renditions were so powerful and so beautiful... God-inspired creation sila... daladala ko pa ang CD nila sa pag-uwi... crying... because I'm so thankful to God that the human voice remains the most beautiful instrument of God...
Congrats AUP and Amba and especially our beloved batchmate Ramon BOJO Lijauco Jr. for another trophy for our school eventhough you didn't pursue our career as a Nurse but gave honor to our school and country throughmusic for the second time around.
Quite amazed at the Stroope piece. Amor de mi Alma is a painfully beautiful setting of a few stanzas from Soneta V by a Spanish poet, Garcilaso de la Vega, set to music by G. Randall Stroope, who is also the celebrated composer of Riveder le Stelle.
There is an amazing sustained note by the male voices all throughout the second stanza ("Escrito esté en mi alma vuestro gesto/your every aspect is written on my soul"). Superb guys.
wow.. very nice. Congatulations Ambassadors singers. I highly appreciated your performance ang your golden voice. .As an Adventist , Im so proud of you bro & sis . God bless
What talents.. God is gracious.. Their talents are used to it's full potential.. This is a great way to share the gospel to the world and let Christ be known... Music being the universal language, God has endowed to our fellow Pinoys/Pinays, the best way to spread the Gospel...Praise the Lord..
What amazing interpretation!!! To God be the glory!! Congrat to AUP and all peopple who works that this dream becomes true!!!! This is really touchful, I really love all this song, specially the last secction!!! Congra to all again to Adventist University of the Philiphine (AUP)!!!!! Regardings from Mexico!!!
AUP Ambassadors really is the best in the Philippines and in the World! You are truly ambassadors from our country! Proud to be AUPian... Proud to be Filipino.
The Amor de mi alma (Stroope) was just sublime! Intelligently sung yet full of emotion. And I must tell you - I was blown away by your interpretation of Bagbagto - such a "savage" and intense performance especially towards the last section of the piece, I could actually imagine the "stone wars" of the Igorots of olden times. =) I hope to hear you sing more of my works =)
Thanks for posting this, Malou. An outstanding performance--felt, textured, and utterly sincere on the Stroope. Alcala's Bagbagto was sung superbly. Our prayers accompany Bojo and the choir for the finals tonight.
