Both the bus driver and the kids are at fault here. If the girl in the back had simply complied with the bus driver, there would have been no need for any of this to happen. Interesting to read the compassion for the teen! Complete disregard for the kid jumping out/challenge invitation and yelling "HEY MOFO!" The bus driver was clearly wrong to attack first; but both parties led up to the result! The narrator is biased! The driver was held accountable by the full extent of the law. But the behavior of these kids today should not be trivialized just because “there just kids!"

Both the bus driver and the kids are at fault here. If the girl in the back had simply complied with the bus driver, there would have been no need for any of this to happen. Letting kids get away with being disrespectful and disobedient only serve to bring more disrespect and disobedience. So, the kids needed to learn a lesson. I do agree, however, that the bus driver could have handled it differently.
