Hi, I'm very impressed with how you have made your stoves. In your diagram you show where you use dry wood ash or vermiculite as insulation, can you please advise which you recommend the most for retaining heat? Can you also advise how high up you fill the chamber with the insulation?

you enspired me to make one of these out of gas bottle cut in half with stainless combustion chamber,mine is square chamber,back filled with perlite,deepcarlion

@ojbear I am happy the plan work out well for you, square chamber is also good, I fabricate Square chambers for large Stoves as well.
