wow. im guessin the old ladys son got hit by a car so she wanted to be the crossin guard to help pervent kids from gettin killed from crossin the road. she has alot of memorys on her son and the bracelet.. LOL idk just guessin any ways it was really sad and i feel bad 4 the old lady!!!
Fortunately the professor allowed for group projects...otherwise these films can be pretty costly and not as well done. So I had this crossing guard idea that seemed doable, and three other friends that I've had classes with wanted to jump on the bandwagon and our professor was cool with that. So since this one worked out, we kept the same group for the next film, J-10. It definitely wouldn't have turned out as well if it was randomly assigned.
She does that job because her kid died when there was no crossing guard. Someone hit her kid. Now she is a crossing guard to prevent it from happening again.
You're close :) Her son and husband actually died in a boating accident. If you listen to the sound design in the dining room scene you might catch the waves and the child talking about fishing and a storm. And she's a crossing guard simply becauses she misses her child. It's a little tough to catch, but I'm glad you like it!
Crossing guards in our district are not allowed to read on duty.
Don't people check their facts?

I'm taking a guess that she took the job of a crossing guard as to stop what might have happened to her son?
It's just a guess though, i'm probably wrong.
