Olimar is one of the best characters because he almost has a longer range than the sword people but he has the versatility that is faster than most other characters.
I love HuGs. He's an amazing player and a good guy, just like a lot of the players are.
I love Smash because the community, both past and present, is absolutely amazing. That's what a lot of people like you, Gimpy, because you're not a total jerk and actually talk back to us lowly people that are your fans :d

i don't think that it's that brawl is slower anymore.
nobody has hitstun anymore, so you just can't "combo" (in the strictest sense of the word).
(for the record: any string of moves is a combo. if you don't dodge, and you get hit, you just got combo'd. sucks to be you.)
but...i had that exact same argument with some kid about items. i told him we play tournament-style, and it's fucking fun. didn't really sit too well with him.

Gimpy is correct near the end. I do have a lot of fun participating at tournaments, playing without items, playing with items. I really enjoy the game. I've been in a couple tournaments and I still do have fun. The game was made to be fun.
As for tripping....it's the only human part of Smash Bros.
tripping is the most useless thing added. it can cost a person a match, no question. i know this from first hand experience. i tripped on my last stock and got falcon punched to hell lol.
As for tripping costing you the match... That's happened to me before. I SO agree with firing the guy who thought up tripping. It's an unfair game mechanic, and there should at least be an option to turn it off.

Yes, the entire game engine was remade to balance speed vs power. However that does NOT mean that characters are better seeing as how.
Melee Ganon was still stronger, faster and had L-canceling. Yes Bowser was improved but Ganon was not. as for Peach being able to chain a lot easier in this game you must be playing noobs or lvl1 CPU's because her attacks dont NEARLY chain as well as her Melee Counterpart. Thus proven that you dont know wtf you're talking about.

LV9 CPUs and everyone around me. Looking at these "pro" videos, it's not much different than what I've been doing since ever.
And yes, Peach does chain better. And just handles better. You must be trying to chain the wrong attacks at the wrong times.
As for Ganon, in Melee, he pretty much didn't chain, and left himself too open to be a proper strike character. In this game, he chains properly, doesn't have as many openings, and is just plain more balanced...

So I guess I was on crack when I've played ganon and chain grabbed with his D-throw and his Dair to Uair combos, as for Peach her combo potential was amazing in Melee, she cant combo for shit in Brawl, not even from a throw. Ganondorf was improved, Peach wasn't nerfed. Samus was rawk in Melee, but still shouldn't have been nerfed.

The entire game engine was remade to balance speed vs power. That's how Ganondorf was improved. And Bowser. And all the slow characters.
As for peach, her attacks chain a lot easier in this game.
But, any idiot knows that, right?

Melee Ganon was still stronger, faster and had L-canceling. Yes Bowser was improved but Ganon was not. as for Peach being able to chain a lot easier in this game you must be playing noobs or lvl1 CPU's because her attacks dont NEARLY chain as well as her Melee Counterpart. Thus proven that you dont know wtf you're talking about.

LV9 CPUs and everyone around me. Looking at these "pro" videos, it's not much different than what I've been doing since ever.
And yes, Peach does chain better. And just handles better. You must be trying to chain the wrong attacks at the wrong times.
As for Ganon, in Melee, he pretty much didn't chain, and left himself too open to be a proper strike character. In this game, he chains properly, doesn't have as many openings, and is just plain more balanced...

So I guess I was on crack when I've played ganon and chain grabbed with his D-throw and his Dair to Uair combos, as for Peach her combo potential was amazing in Melee, she cant combo for shit in Brawl, not even from a throw. I'm tired of arguing with someone who obviously doesn't know shit about Melee or Brawl so I'll let everyone else correct you for a change.
