YJ all the way. I've had a 95 YJ, a 97 TJ and now own an 87 YJ lifted with 35's. My brother has an 06 JK so I'm very familiar with them as well. Nothing beats the YJ and their interior is actually MORE comfortable and roomier than the TJ contrary to popular opinion. And stick a couple of chevy cavalier reclining bucket seats in that YJ and your good to go!
i gotta go YJ. Just more bad ass to me. Im not a tj and jk hater their just too soft and cusiony for me im young im gunna enjoy a hard truck while i can!

I had a 91 and my bro had a 00. loved them both (mine a little more cuz of the v8). Really i l would have to say i like yjs better. i liked the leaf springs, i know the ride was stiffer and didnt flex as will but i could wipe that thing around a corner faster then my car. Also i loved the simplicity of it, no bells or whistles just what was needed. I had to sell mine last year and now i want one again, and the yj price is a little more forgiving haha.
it seems everyone likes whatever they have, which is understandable. For people who have owned both, why do you prefer what you prefer? I would say i prefer my tj because of it's coil suspension (rides smoother and flexes nicely), and its slightly more comfortable interior. The vehicle is just newer as well.
@CheesenCrackers69 I've had a 2000 TJ that I rolled and may it rest in peace...but as nice of a ride as it was, I prefer the 91 YJ I have now because it's a little bit wider and the balance seems better. Plus, I love my leaf springs, so easy to do anything with and so much easier to get to everything on my YJ it seems

I gotta go YJ for this video. granted, i only test drove a few tj's and never had one for an extended period of time, but, the YJ is just a born ass-kicker in my opinion!
The TJ is my favorite not just because I own one. It's that it already has the NP231J Transfer case, NV3550 5 spd. Transmission and the big one >>> SPRING AND SHOCK all around, no leafs for this guy.
your YJ really looks good but i would have to go with the TJ considering i own a black tj myself but i was wondering what lift would be better for 33in at's? a 3 or 4 inch? like as far as looks and performance wise
@metalirocz28 My TJ has a rubicon express 3.5" superflex lift with 33's. I think its a good match for 4x4ing, but you could go with a little less lift if you don't really need the flex. I like my set up
