  • Perfect ending to a perfect album.

  • I've always loved this song.. with my heart.

  • Well i love this song <3

  • I love this guys' voice... It's so soothing.

  • Amazing.

  • It sounds like Bend Over

  • You can hear the emotion in every word, i don't know how Maynard comes up with this stuff but to be a little less hardcore than usual his voice is.. well, beautiful :)

  • TOO SHORT!

  • BRAIN STORMING SONG ,,A KING SONG...

  • does he "say" according to you you had a relapse or something at the end? trippy

  • I heard him singing a little bit of rose in the background! :0

  • The ONLY thing that would make it better is if it was longer

  • listen to this song when your smoking up high in the sky at night, the stars are so beautiful.

  • This song makes me feel as if I was trapped inside one of those snow balls.

  • one step at a time life is reflective, look to self, see the flaw, see the desire, see the hypocrosy, and trenscend! correct the flaw, remove the desire, disciplin self and grow dont be afraid to change, let the disidence push you to greater states of mind, push you to be more than reaction or egocentrism. realise you are nothing but an oridinary person and do something exceptional liberate from one self to evolve or you will never escape the prison of cyclical thought... cyclical life...

  • The only problem with this song is that it's only 2 short minutes long :l

  • This song gets the emotions going. If I were to die today, I would want this played at my funeral.

  • Is Maynard saying "bend over"??

  • @JayahnWard666 Been over.

  • @JayahnWard666 Yes. This song is obviously about anal sex.

  • @JayahnWard666 been over

  • Great piano:)so emotional

  • This song is the same four words over and over... not impressed.

  • @RynKen Maynard could sing the word "cock" over and over and over and over until the song was over and it would still sound beautiful. Because Maynards voice is amazing.

  • @SHman555 I'm just saying I liked a lot of there songs and put them in my playlist, but this isn't one of them.

  • @RynKen That's cool. Just people get really pissed over the internet really easy haha.

  • this stays stuck in the head for days every time i hear it.

  • its all about the circle.

    all about the fucking circle.

  • This song and Lullaby really amaze me. Not even because of Maynard's voice (that is innately the best element to these songs), but because the lyrics are beyond simplistic.

Maynard didn't need to write something elaborate and poetic like he always does, he just wrote a sentence or two and embellished on it, and it made hypnotizing music.

  • Been over Been over this before Been over and over Been over this before And over Been over this before So over this Been over this So over this Been over this So over this before - I hope that you read this...and i hope that you understand, what you lost...
  • @Hausartikel i didn't lose anything. In fact, there is so much, so much to gain

  • love the *sigh*

  • lol? i can't hear the song. this sucks

  • @truepyro28

For some reason, i find your comment absolutely hilarious.

  • Honestly, this has to be one of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard. Truly.

  • What a gorgeous song. Shame that everyone has to be a moron and argue on it. Personally, I think that my favorite part of this song is the ending because of how everything else comes in last minute. <3

  • I played this quite a bit when my Dad died.

  • Sea of names

  • who would NOT like this?

    wow, please don't exist anymore.

  • @opening2heal why the fuck would i like it if you do? maybe i'm a nerd that likes classical music, you dumbfuck.

  • @opening2heal You obviously don't understand the 'point' of music. Maynard certainly doesn't want you project hateful energy towards people who you don't feel 'get' 'your' music. Funny: your name is 'opening2heal,' yet it appears you're more about hurting fellow humans instead. A pity; you likely call yourself a "Perfect Circle" 'fan.'

  • This song is amazing. No one can make a song like this, and pull it off, except APC <3

  • bend over, bend over this

  • Masterpiece

  • maynard can impregnate women with only the sound of his voice

  • @kaonous no, that's Chuck Norris

  • @CatEatingAliens chuck norris can get a woman pregnant just by being within 1.5 kilometers of her. he doesn't need his voice for that

  • Thank U gabymsowa u have good taste in music

  • maynard is not given enough credit for his singing.

  • @mstlapc he was voted 13th greates singer of all time on some website. I think he is number 1. But with music culture for today everyone wants gay rap katy perry that creature know as lady gaga etc etc its really sad. APC and Tool are 2 of the greatest bands ever and you dont hear about them much

  • @Coloradoviking88 Lady Gaga is one of the few artists who can actually sing. I give her credit as a musician. Maynard is amazing as well, if Lady Gaga, Maynard and Serj from SOAD ever made a song together.. I'd have to say awesome.

  • @derangedplague How dare you include Serj and Maynard in a sentence with Lady Gaga. The only thing to give her props on is daring to be different, and even when she does that it's just ridiculous.

  • @JoshJenn What an ironic comment, lulz

  • @iLikeCookie88 It's not Ironic because I'm not giving her props for being different. I'm simply saying that in my opinion the only props someone who likes her could give her was that she dares to be different. I mean who the fuck thinks of the shit she does? and who actually buys it?? Only mindless drones like yourself!!

  • @JoshJenn Wait.. what? Mindless drone?

I was just saying that your comment was ironic because you were complaining about someone putting Maynard and Lady Gaga's names in the same sentence... yet you did the exact same thing! xD

No need to get all offended...

  • @iLikeCookie88 offending and getting offended is all YouTubers seem to know how to do.

  • @P5ychoRaz True, true!

  • @derangedplague Lady Gaga's music is terrible. She's different thats cool but her music is still pretty bad just better then most other even WORSE musicians (Like Kesha and Kanye etc.) Maynard and Serj sing multiple times better then she does.

  • @imcoolerthenyouever Actually, her music is pretty good and she can sing rather well without any instruments. MAINSTREAM music is rather shitty but I consider Lady Gaga to be one of few good musicians for the decade. I believe you're just being close minded, if you take time to actually listen to a majority of her music that isn't on the radio; you'll see its quite good.

  • @derangedplague I have listened to her before. Her voice makes my head ache. She's not doing anything particularly special but I guess if you like her then im not going to tell you not too like I said theres worse musicians out there so if you like her then thats cool if you liked someone like Justin Bieber im going to have to beat you until you sound like he does.

  • @Coloradoviking88 I don't know about other forms of media, but iTunes, or any Electronic-Jukebox I've used NEVER has Tool on it. I think Matnard is choosy about who owns the rights to his intellectual property. He probably doesn't care about airtime as much as ensuring the right people hear his music, rather than just 'a lot' of people.

  • i never actually listen to this song because the baby toy sound though me off but when i was driving in my car one day to distracted to change it.. i listen and cryed.

  • I like it when the piano comes in.

  • To me, this songs makes it seem like the whole world slows down and your life is layed out before you, realizing it's all nothing but repetition. Internal conflicts and questions continuously coming back. The word happiness doesn't really come to mind. Soothing, simplistic, and beautiful? More like it.

  • @SheBeTrollin

    I find that POV/Interetation extremly depressing ;/

  • @SheBeTrollin I think that was actually supposed to be the point, portraying the rises and falls in human relationships and the overall cycles... to take it a bit too far, the imperfect and yet perfect circle of human life.

So yeah, good perceptive ear you have... :)

  • @SheBeTrollin wow thats exactly how it sounds....dang thats deep thinking

  • how can 2 minutes and 24 seconds feel like a lifetime of happiness?

  • Maynard would sound good singing to a fart.

  • Maynard..<3..

  • Man he used to sigh a lot in his songs. He does it a few times on Aenima, and on Lateralus too.

  • @ecclesiasticous I love when he sighs it helps my imagination(thinking of him fucking me lol)

  • @bluebow23 sexy

  • @bluebow23 haha but wouldn't that mean he's bored and just sort of waiting for you to finish?

  • @bluebow23 wtf?

  • @bluebow23 That's pretty hot

  • @ecclesiasticous makes me feel more like he's into what he's doing on an emotional level. brings you closer to feeling like he's there singing to you almost... it's warming in a way. gives character to the music.

  • @ecclesiasticous epic songs

  • que bonito viva mexico

  • i listened to this a million times during the summer of the year 2000.

    it still rocks.

  • imaginative lyrics i must say..

  • does anyone have any idea what he says at 1:57??

  • @laughdaddy123 I think he's just sighing.

  • @laughdaddy123 he doesn't say anything at 1.57. At 2.00 he says "unmistakable noise i was hearing", which is taken from Thinking of You, which is about masturbation.

  • this is magical. kronos quartet and Maynard need to hook up...

  • Play the end of this song and then Roundabout by Yes right after it. It sounds kind of cool.

  • I love how at the end it like recaps all the epic parts of the album but really quietly.

Turn it up, you'll hear it.

  • been over this!!!

  • ahh soothing and pretty

  • Comment removed

  • The musical voices don't match.

  • in the beginning, i thought he was saying "bend over this beef"...ore. after that then everything made sense.

  • Beautiful. Simple. Two instruments and Maynard. All you need to make something great.

  • There is a live, extended version of this song. It is restructured & very powerful. I wish they had released it as a bonus track somewhere in the magical land of OZ...

  • At the very end you can hear himsinging a high note in the background. its from another song on the album cant remember which one though

  • @LiamAndrew11 Thomas

  • at 0:46 your left hand will use the notes Bb Ab Eb and F four time, counting the measures pretty much, and your left hand will use the notes Eb C# and Bb which all of the notes four each of the four measures of this will equal 16 notes.

at 1:04 your left hand will use the notes G and E one note per measure and the right hand will do this, E F G A G F/E F G A G F, that's two measures, and then at 1:10 it is D C B A B G x2, and only do Con the first measure. If you are confused I apologize...

  • wow, how can such a good song have such few lyrics?! pure talent

  • @BoxedxxxInnocence Maybe cause it's only 2 and a half minutes long.

  • @stuntmcnuggt that is true ;) But I always think that the length of a song is usually in proportion with the length or the amount of lyrics. I stand corrected :D

  • This song always makes me feel like it's actually over. But sort of in a good way. It's like yeah, it's all over, but at least all the bad goes away.

    I learned the piano part!

  • @DanceyCorpse Do you mind sending out the tab for the piano part?

  • @DanceyCorpse Do you mind sending out the tab for the piano part?

  • @ch364 Hey, I can't really send you a tab. It was by ear. Sorry. I can give you the notes though, if you'd like.

  • @DanceyCorpse That works too, thanks

  • are they gonna make a new album?

  • This is the secret opening to the Hallow it HAS to be!!!!!!!

  • I feel really relaxed right now. I wan't to sleep....

  • for a second i thought he said Bend over

  • @TheTruthIsHiding4321

Yeah, I thought it was "Bend over this barr-el"

  • thumb harp PakMachino.

  • Beautiful

  • He has the most gorgeous voice in the world

  • @jaybee863

    so true

  • @jaybee863 Maynard is the best living vocalist, hands down.

  • @Necro280 its true. Hes incredible. no one can come close

  • @jaybee863 If i could see a rainbow I swear i'd swab his throat clean "Look at ow pearly us throat is"

  • lol i learned this on the kalimba

  • is that what the half-shelf coconut looking thing with the iron "nails" that you tap down, if thats whats called?

  • Umm, yeah.

  • this song is very epic.

  • sooo relaxing

  • make me sleepy to..but ist 3:51 in morning too xD

    maybe thats the problem :D

  • Comment removed

  • this made me sleepy

  • Does anyone know how to play this on piano? I've been wanting to learn for years. Especially the piano part. =]

  • @brisinger2 Use guitar pro. I did.

  • sigh

  • school, college, politics, ignorence, fuck me this is probebly the most relative song in the world...to me that is...feel like ive been over this shit on a much larger scale than i think..or could think,,,,...we are the building blocks

  • reminds me of Disposition by Tool

  • There's only 6 lyrics in this song... And it's one of my favourite songs ever... Lol. Legend.

  • Jebus, This is EXACTLY how I feel right now.

  • @ShaDeSlayerStone I've been over there before...

  • it's just about repeatative bullshit in life

  • so i was looking through the first page of comments and i decided to reply on one of them... i look to the next pages and i see i have already commented on the same subject!! haha so over this before.... just found it sort of weird.

  • Lol... sounds like my whole last relationship

  • Yeah same here heh...

  • I'll third that comment hehehe

  • Have you ever argued about something with a person? And you think you resolve the issue? But a week later the same damn problem comes up. And you're like "I thought we talked about this? We've been over this before!!" The way he sighs at 1:04-1:05 seems like he is exasperated at having to go over it YET AGAIN. Just a thought. Who knows what it means. And I like the montage of all the songs at the end. Kinda cool.

  • i dunno why but the end of this song mechs perfectly with the start of the song passive!! its like they were meant to even tho theyre not in the same album=p

  • lol i just bought the instrument used for the intro. Its called a kalimba.

  • Is he talking about commiting suicide? But he can't do it. ?

  • For the people that have the album, check that piece of paper with those weird symbols on it!

You CAN solve the 'puzzle' and get to know what all those symbols mean, its really fun :D

  • Shortly after the two minute mark (which I agree he says "unmistakable noise I was hearing"), he says "I am, I will" and that would be from the song "Rose" on this album.

After that, it's really hard to understand. It sounds like he says something about jumping and the note he holds toward the end I believe is the word, "free". Other than that...

  • Comment removed

  • he says "unmistakable noise i was hearing" at 2:00. then i hear "constantly consuming", followed and slightly overlapped by Thomas' "reconnect to you". The last bit i hear is the final course in weak and powerless where they go really high pitch.

  • i cant turn it up any louder its no good no matter wat stereo i try. love how it builds then explodes at 45 secs. exquisite

  • masterpiece...the piano part is amazing...

  • ok, after nearly blowing my eardrum out, i have decided that at 2:00, he says "unmistakable noise i was hearing" (as in from "thinking of you." as for the rest, i dont have a clue. its just mumbling.

  • yeah you guys are pretty much right.

from what i heard the end is bits and pieces from the whole album.

so i guess it is quite a task to figure out all of the pieces.

  • yep

  • At 2:20 I could've sworn I heard "weak and powerless".

Just decided to throw that out there. :)

  • he says something very faintly at 2:00, can anybody tell what he's saying?

  • Comment removed

  • my friend corrected me.. the first word is "Unmistakable", the rest we can't hear properly its much to quiet

  • "Unmistakable noise i was hearing" then it's just stuff from other songs, don't know the rest

  • unthinkable ...somthing xD

  • fucking beautiful song. especially when the piano kicks in.

even the problems we think we've solved in our lives can return at any moment.

  • Maynard could make millions of albums of just him sing with acoustic guitars and pianos in the background...and I would buy every single one...

  • never thought that repeating one thing so many times in a song wouldn't get boring...this is an example of true musicianship...

  • I know! I was always so enamored by this song..

  • "Bend over"

  • lmao XD

  • ROFLMFAO XD XD

  • I dont find it creepy and dimented.

I find it sad and miserable.

I still like it though :P

  • is there a longer version of this song?

  • yeah, i think this would work for silent hill.

  • its those block chords isnt it?

  • Perfect Silent Hill Track this Would make...

    Very haunting....

  • 1Nyro->If u don't like ..don't listen..Go away..
