base your sharpening angles on the thickness of the knife. Thin pen knives I sharpen to a 17 degree angle with a 20 degree angle on the edge(extremely sharp). My ANZA knives I usually keep at a 20 degree angle with a 25 degree edge(perfect for skinning)
I own a couple ANZA knives, best thing i have found to sharpen these knives is the Lansky shapening kit, base kit is around $35 dollars but I highly recommend it. With a couple hours of work you can get it back to razor blade sharpness. But, because of the metal used to make these knives I would suggest springing for the Lansky Diamond sharpening kit, it costs a little more but can take the sharpening time from a couple hours to about one hour.
Are you having a problem sharpening it, or changing the contour to convex? Sharpening should be easy, but changing the contour would require a grinder because it's so thick.
yea it would. but here in california if u have that on u it would be treated as a cencel carry or as a dagger the only time u can have i fixed blade is when ur in the woods
@budda734 Are you sure about this, I am in San Diego and the laws I have seen have no restrictions on anything but gravity knives, double edged knives. Fixed bladed knives must be carried openly, in a sheath, on your waist, and there are certain length restrictions in government and public BUILDINGS. Check out the laws man, will save you trouble.
@libarata i did thats y i said that and ur in san diego im in fontana not the same city diffrent laws ps. im aye fontana police explorer ...thanks for the comment and ur input
Bro, I wish I could get one of those knives here in Brazil! I really dig that white handled one, specially for its full-tang thicker blade! And you´re right, it must be a great neck knife ! I might try to make one myself or maybe have one specially made for me! Great vid! Thanks for sharing it little brother!
Files here in the US are usually made out of either W2 or 1095, so it is likely one of those. There are others but those are the most common. W2 being the most common.
Nice review young man.

Great review young Bro..
Charlie makes awesome knives. I simply use a ceramic rod to keep mine in razor blade shape.. Give that a try.
