  • My younger brother saw this type many times when he was stationed in Goose Bay Labrador back in the '70s. I have several snapshots which he took with old Kodak camera. Many thanks for your capturing this last flight.

  • classy landing

  • First saw a C-133 while Stationed at Incirlik Turkey in 66' Incirlik my first assignment out of Tect School. Was assigned to Base Flight C-118's, Det 192. One day a C-133 was coming in & I first thought it was just a C-130, but as I watched it land it got bigger& bigger, wow. I had to go look at it, I couldn't believe how big this acft was outside/inside. Later in the 70 - 72 at Travis I became one of the flying Crew Chiefs. Logged 300 hrs. retired them & went to the C-5A, C/C on 66-002 .

  • I was qualified on the C-130 and 133.in the 60's the 130 is a great airplane but you can't beat the sound of the 133. To bad politics over ruled.

  • ...Love the sound at 0:30

  • Thanks for your service.

  • As a engine mechanic on "Ole Shaky" (C-124) in 1957-60 Hickam AFB, I remember the C-133's on the flight line, that's when I realized, the "prop jockeys" like me were on their way out!

  • Crewed # 2008 at Dover in 1966-67.....then went to Mactan 1968-69 with 130's.

  • Next time get an old cotton sock, cut it in half and attach it over your mic head with rubber bands.

  • Thanks, scvdon2. I'd nearly forgotten about the Cargomaster. I just recently read an article at the Air & Space Magazine site about the C133, then stumbled upon your video. It was great to see this vintage cargo hauler inflight and then landing beautifully.

  • Great vid of the c-133 keep on youtube, great.

  • Great!

  • nice but u shood have had a wind cover 4 your mike

  • What a beautiful and functional aircraft. Although in the USAF from '65 to '69, I have never seen one of these fly. Too bad it was the last one and the last landing. Great video. Forget the wind sound ! It's always windy there.

  • What a sound!

  • What a beast! Love the sound of those props. Thanks for posting!

  • Nice aircraft and nice video. Thumbs up!

  • Great landing and very nice camera work, thank you.

  • Iwas stationed at Davis Monthan and our sheetmetal shop repaired some parts of this C133 I watched it leave one afternoon in 1978 or 79

  • This is about the closest i'm going to see and hear one of these fly ( i've seen them at a museum up close before )...Thanks for sharing and thanks for not putting any music behind your video

  • im about to go see one of these.

  • I am surprised this aircraft survived! It caught fire on the ramp at Dover following maintenance back in the 60's. We put it back together and it still lives. A few years ago, I learned it was languishing in Alaska. I didn't think it would ever fly again after that. I'll have to make a trip to see it.

  • I thought all the C-133's were retired years ago,

did they ferry this one in from the desert in Arizona?

    When I see the A400, I recall the C-133...

  • I Love This Airplane!!! Its Sexier Than the C-130

  • Did this C-133 do a fly-by before the final landing?

  • This is the BEST, Jerry, the BEST! The best video of the C-133 I've seen. This is the very first time I've heard that wonderful bass note of those engines since I was a kid in the late '50's and heard this beast flying overhead miles above with that great droning engine sound. Wonderful!

  • No wonder one of its nicknames was the "weenie wagon."

  • saw years ago, a photo detective plane in a museum, but to see him flying in his last flight was fantastic. Admirto the courage of the pilots who made this last flight. Congratulations on video.

  • I forgot how beautiful they were.

    1620th MATS Torrejon Spain 1962/1965

    Sorry to see her go

  • This video brings back many nice memories as well as breaks my heart.I flew almost 2000 hours on A models at Dover in the 60s.God how I loved that aircraft.(56-2011).

  • Sad it wont fly anymore, I hope they will take good care of it, here in Ohio at Dayton AFBM they have one , is inside a huge hangar but the last time I saw it, 6 months ago, the tires were flat and it looks pretty dirty and the visitors to the museum just scratch and mark the plane.. like they do not care at all, gums all over and trash inside every little hole and gap SAD, very Sad to see how the people do not give a S....T.Ignorance my friend pure IGNORANCE

  • One of the best videos here on youtube, just to see the last landing of this bird, it is MEMORABLE...thanks scvdon2

  • Thanks. It would have been better if it had not been so windy. It was great to be there.

  • farewell
