  • Every here seems to forget that now around 50% of the space marines have gone Dark Side traitors XD Emperor really should have assigned commissars to em

  • i think a commisar could they are not part of the gaurd army they are outside regular rules their only job is to insure moral is good so if one was with some space marines and saw their moral was bad it seems like to me he'd have all the right to execute him a space marine is just a really tough gardsman still part of the impirium

  • Ok here is my noob question,

Can (or would ) a commissar execute a space marine?

  • most likely not, that is a matter for the Space Marines in question brothers or, if they are unable, the Inquisition

  • Actually. A Commissar can execute a Librarian if he suspects him of succumbing to the warp. Its really funny when it happens on the tabletop game. Whats that? 240+ points Space Marine just got 1 shotted by a 40 point Commissar? BRILLIANT! XD

  • If that ever happened to me, I'd personally execute the commisar

  • Depends, If a space marine made (in the commisars opinion a heretical comment like, the emperor is a man to revier not worship the commisar may pull the trigger on the las-pistol...Only to get squished.

  • simple: NO. the Imperium looks up to this sguys as the stuff of legend. Only a Marine would execute a Marine. unless is a Traitor Marine :D

  • @astroaj99 No and no. Not unless hes a CSM...

  • @astroaj99 Simple answer: No, because he can't, and no because he wouldn't dare to try=)

  • @astroaj99 Yes a comissar could. The Imperial Guard and Space Marines are both soldiers of the imperium and the comissar got a higher rank than a space marine.

  • @toorajii111111111111 Commissars cant exicute a Space Marine, the marines aren't part of the Adaptus Terra or The guard are.

  • @toorajii111111111111 only problem, lasgun no penetrate helmet of space marine! D:

  • @astroaj99 The commissar is a political officer of the Imperial Guard. The Imperial Guard are controlled by Adeptus Terra, the governing force of Imperium of man. The Space Marines are not controlled by this organization however, and thus have no connection to the commissar. So No, a commissar could NEVER execute a Space Marine, well unless he wanted to die............

  • @astroaj99 Even the lowest Space Marine outranks Imperial Guard generals, and commisars attend only to their soldiers.

  • @lox12 not to mention Space Marines are way to loyal to warrant the attention of a Commissar aside from an example to guardsmen lol

  • @lox12 Space marines are a completely separate organization from the Imperial Guard.................. A space marine can't go up to an imperial general and say you listen to me now and vice versa. They don't out rank each other.

  • @Faithenseeker They are above IG in hierarchy within the imperium. Brother captain can take command of regiment if neccesery, and they have to obey.

  • @Faithenseeker Wrong, the chapters have the power to command any IG regiment they want.

  • @XxXsantajewXxX yes but thats doesn't mean the regiment HAS to follow it. Dark Crusade and Soulstorm being my examples

  • @Xboxishomo Yes it does, SpaceMarines out rank any IG Commander, If an IG Commander refuses orders from a Space Marine then that gives the SpaceMarine reason to execute the IG Commander.

  • @lox12 A space marine would still follow orders from an imperial guard general under the circumstances

  • @astroaj99 no

  • @astroaj99 No need, Space Marines NEVER retreat in battle. Death before Retreat. And besides, even the lowest ranking Space Marine out ranks almost all the generals of the Imperial Guard.

  • @XxXsantajewXxX Not true, people think the adeptus astartes are above all imperial ranks but they are wrong. It's the inquisition above all. If the spacemarines have the orders to remove scum from a planet where imperial forces are settled they have to coörperate and MUST obey the orders of the Imperial Lord General. The space marines are only allowed to take over command with inquisitorial permission. But most of the time there are Inquisitors amongst those expeditions.

  • @NielsorNiek space marines and imperial guard work as two different factions none can command the others they work outside eachothers command field

  • @badazzkiller23 they are not different factions nor races, they are both in command of the inquisition and the Adeptus Administratum (on some surcumstances, as each Space Marine Chapter is a fully self-contained military organisation)

  • @NielsorNiek im not talking about races but there are different factions serving the imperium (of man). and they oberate without the control of eachother. and actually space marines are under control of the current chapter master wich can give orders as he wants it.

  • @badazzkiller23 ''As the most important arm of the Imperial government dedicated to ensuring the security of the Imperium of Man, the authority of the Inquisition technically supersedes all others, including, in theory, a High Lord of Terra or even a Chapter Master of the Adeptus Astartes.'' So yes the commisar is alowed to execute anyone who shows cowardice or heresy, because he's part of the inquisition. But you'll barely see a tainted or cowardice spacemarine, they are the emperor's finest.

  • @NielsorNiek agreed

  • @astroaj99 Nope.

  • @astroaj99 If a traitorous scum then yes

  • @astroaj99 if you can use a trainer that has steal technology, maybe he can..........

  • @astroaj99 if the Space Marine has conducted HERESY. then yes.

  • @astroaj99 Commissars have no authority among the space Marines.

  • @astroaj99 If a Space Marine Flees the battle, Betrays the Empire, and his supperiors are not around or do nothing, yes. They are not supposed to shoot space marines when the faulter in task but do alot.

  • @castor1996 Actually, lol, unless that Commissar had a Bolt Pistol(or Plasma Pistol) he's just piss that Marine off with a Laspistol.

  • @astroaj99 Commisars are part of the scholar imperium, like inquisitors and other political officers they are tought to execute anyone who conducts heresy. But even a guardsman is allowed to execute an tainted spacemarine. But he gets executed after all. (If they are not sure if the spacemarine was an heretic) But that's all emperor's case. Commisars are above the imperial guard they are just attached to the regiment, they are allowed to execute any enemy of the emperor.

  • @astroaj99 Generally speaking, the Adeptus Astartes exists at a higher level of command than do Commissars. Obviously, should a Space Marine turn explicitly traitor, then it is the duty of every guardsmen to kill him, but beyond that, all punishments are expected to be dealt with by a ranking space marine, either a force commander, captain, or chaplain. For a Comissar to shoot a space marine would be a massive overstepping of his authority.

  • @knightorder two different factions serving the emporer and will not fight eachothers

  • @astroaj99 I don't think so because they are from different armies. A Hyrkan commisar can't execute a soldier from a Cadian regiment. He must leave that to Cadian commisar, but there are exceptions such as the Hyrkan commisar is dead, so he can't punish that soldier. Besides Space Marines are like geneticly modified commando killing machines which is a different class from a mere soldier like guardsman. And Space marines have very tough morale and commisars were made to upkeep morale. MAX LIMIT

  • @borecek999 ...so Space Marines have rarely problems with morale therefore they cannot be executed by commisars.

  • @borecek999 Actually, Space Marines cannot for any reason be executed by a Commissar, killed if their traitor Marines yes, but executed for falling back no, chances are the Commissar would just piss that Marine and his whole chapter off, and be shot himself.

Commissar:"On charges of cowardice, you are sentenced to dea---"

Space Marine:"ORLY? BOOM! HEADSHOT! what now bitch?"

  • @GeneralSturnn Yeah you are right.

  • lol the farseer omg those imperial noobs i have to help them already brothers and sisters we need to help the noobs cos there crap at dow

  • Hi, I'm eldar, and my random orgies and fucking everything with a hole caused Slaanesh to be born and most of my own race to be killed. But nevermind that, I'm totally smarter and better than everyone else.

  • Sturnn"Alright men keep shooting at that gate until it falls!"

random soldier 87"But sir if we simple fly over-"Soldier 87 gets shot

    Sturnn"Noooooo keep shooting at it!"

  • @10Maloy more like:

    *Shooting at Daemon gate*

Guardsmen 34:"You know, we could just pass through it right?*

Commissar:"*growls* *blam* you will all do as I say and shoot at the gate RAWR!

  • Did you all know in a regular game of 40K, a Commissar can execute Marneus Calgar if he chooses to fail a leadership test to fall back?

  • Carneus Malgar can technically volunteer for a Commissar to execute him thanks to his God of War rule (he can choose to auto-fail a morale check).

  • id luv ta c him try to shoot him a commisar vs the chapter master in a proper battle might as well shoot himself

  • canonical it'd be like:

Commissar:"on charges of cowardice, you are sentenced to death!"

Marneus Calgar:"O RLY? *bolter fired* BOOM! HEADSHOT!"

    *Commissar drops dead*

  • . . . and then Calgar is declared a Heretic and yet another bloody bloody civil war between a half-dozen overpowered genetically engineered supermen and ten billion dudes with t-shirts and flashlights begins. . .

  • Flashlights... ROFLCOPTER!

    XD

  • Never heard that term before?

  • Roflcopter or Flashlight?

  • Flashlight.

  • To the unfamiliar with the tabletop game: on paper a Lasgun shoots a laser (red too) that's powered by energy cells and they're common sight in the 41st Millennium. The downside of these Lasguns is not their mass production, but their puny strength and poor AP value! A Space Marine clad in Terminator Armor could fall to Lasfire (5% success). When such warrior faces a lasgun, he sees a light and (most likely) no damage except a scorig mark on their armor. That's y they call them flashlights.

  • You never understood my original comment.

  • Baneblades(unlikely as it seems) are produced on a daily basis(literally thousands of them!) but because the imperium is an empire of a million worlds, Baneblades become a rare occurrence, not to mention because half of them turn traitor on a hourly basis.

  • too bad vance stubbs "misplaced" 100 of them in soulstorm

  • wrong they were sent out across the star system.

  • I thought there were OVER 9000!!!!

  • donnun sorry i axedently marked commenta as spam

  • its a shame you cant build a demon gate in dark crusade or soulstorm, would be an ace defence.

  • Then you would need at least 4 generators to power it expect the imperium to not get through but idk about necrons and other races with powers of teleportation and jetpacks.

  • Whats with that Pius Ollanus dude anyway? Why did GW eventually replace his role with a Custodes? I think the Imperial Guard deserves some of that high dignity and honor to.

  • So in the battle between the Emperor and Horus, we have a lone Guardsman, then a lone Imperial Fist Terminator, and now it's a lone Adeptus Custodes. Imagine if all three were true and they came running up one after the other to be killed by Horus.

    *IG dies*

Emp: Noooo, ah well plenty more where that came from...

    *Imperial Fist dies*

Emp: I'm getting a little angry now, you know how long it takes to paint those things?

    *Custodes dies*

    Emp: PEW PEW!

  • XD rofl

  • LOL Ha ha ha!

  • Guardsmen 1:Eh......can't we justgo around the gate?!

Commissar:You dare question the Emperor's will......*click*....*boom*...now all of you stand there and die shooting at the invincible gate RAWR!

  • Oh no, this magic gate is impervious to harm. So let's stand here and shoot at it aimlessly for 20 minutes or so.

That's Imperial Guard tactics from beginning to end.

  • LOL, thats a unfair analysis. You have to remember the Guardsmen can't retreat otherwise the Commissar will execute them including Sturnn himself if he shows cowardice (and in Imperial thinking cowardice encompasses necessary retreats.) So in all fairness it's not like they have a viable choice.

  • its pretty much just the commisars and commnaders tactics. not the poor guardsmen though.

  • @unsightly LOL ... but still they get the job done ...

  • wow the Eldar really do have theyre own agenda...like other races...but they are worse in a way...GO Imperials!!!

  • there are big holes in the gate go there stupid imperial guard!

  • you are insane commisars they would get creamed by foul energy's of the warp

  • Big gate + Baneblade = No big gate and victory! Why didn't sturn think of this?

  • @Chrismanmk.

Acording to the fluff there are 3 operational Baneblades in the universe that the IG knows about.

  • No way are there that few. A lucky regiment might have one and only the real important ones might have up to three. Yarrick has his own personal Baneblade so are you saying that there are only two others in the Imperium?

  • Considering Yarrick led a squad of Baneblades in that attack, I would seriously doubt it. Now, first generation bane-blades made during the Emperors time are very few in number, probably only numbering in the low hundreds (between 100-300 most likely), while second generation baneblades, inferior models (by comparison) but still dangerous vehicles in their own right, can be somewhat massed produced.

  • LOL

  • Later in the campaign, Sturnn does bring out his regimental Baneblade. It does kind of stay true to the fluff, since he seems to only have one.

  • Eldar are asses, if they think the IG suck so much then they should do it themselves

  • ya dude, thats kinda because they do suck... but when ther are like 100 imperials they're strong. ish...

  • Well, the Eldar DID do it themselves...

  • after complaining like bitches for like 10 minutes

  • *thinks (not retardedly)* I GOT IT! get a catapult (hope it survives) and throw troops over (im smart).....(kinda)

  • lol maybe the orks would try that :P

  • wait a f*kin minute look at how high the wall is where farseer stood if you look close enough all the guardsmen could climb up there

  • dude it just not that simple for all we know they probily go anti-air guns over head or something

  • so their human RING A BELL so who cares about orks even humans can make vehicles cant they or they could be un retarded if they go back to the ship get a transport and fly over the gate wat retards in these games *sigh*

  • well they would just have to be careful wont they so its just like lego take pieces of the vehicle aprt then build iton the other side SO SIMPLE

  • If you were any more of a retard you wouldn't be able to breathe. You can't smiply take a vehicle apart, shove pieces of it through the hole and then slap it back together on the other side. The Guard aren't Orks.

  • did u see the size of the gaps in the gate all the normal troops couldve crawled through the and get on the other side wat retards

  • ur right haha but they would be killed as they crawled through and they wouldent had any vehicles

  • the gate is corrupted with chaos, if you notice, there are dead bodies on the gate itself. The Imps would think they too would be like those dead bodies if they even touch it...

  • Make that millions

  • it sounds silly with american accents

  • Oh get over it, the Imperium of Man consists of thousands upon thousands of outposts and settlements, they cant all have British accents...then it'll just be like Star Wars...ahem.

  • Eldar are fruits.

  • ermmm... Soooo They're tasty? ;P
