@Howie262 If u r talking about a 1999 - 2000 9-3 / 9-5 Turbo vs a 2006 + Civic Si, neither of u must know how to drive. Because a 2006+ Civic Si will spank the Saab's ass. Civic Sis run can 15.3 sec stock in the 1/4 mile and some even as quick as 14.8 sec. A stock 2000 Sabb 9-3 turbo runs about 15.5 sec - 16.0 sec, and thats when it was new, not to mention 11 years old. lol. So you are r the one who embarrassed yourself infront of all these people. The question is... What more could you want?

I know your data shows saabs being slow, but thats because saabs have a mid range clout, its how they're geared.

you'd never know a saab was slow if you drove one because of it.

Personal experiences with a Civic Si tells me it can whip an 11 year old stock Sabb's ass, 9-3 or 9-5. @Howie262 I did. If Saabs have too much toque, you might want to subtract some, bcuz thats not good, u might bust a cv axle. lol . But i think u would need it since the car is 11 years old and weighing over 2 tons.

Civic Sis actually have a little more tq than that. But it really doesnt need much tq. The car weighs next to nothing.

The power train is fine and can handle the torque.

bottom line, a Saab 96 aero manual will not loose against a Honda SI.

@AlchEm1st88 Yeah it had a d15b7 in the vid, but he swapped to a b18 integra ls and he said the car went downhill. lol. And he sold it right after the swap. I didnt even get to see it with the swapped motor. He had intake, header, straightpipe exhaust, lowered on lightweight wheels, and idk what internals he had. I think he was pushing as much power has with the b15 as he was with the b18.

@belizetj Yeah, the sad truth is its really not that easy to make power with most Honda engines. K series excluded of course. I think the reason Honda engines have been able to make so much power is because of the import drag scene in the 90's. If not for all the R&D those guys did, B series engines would probably never have broken the 400hp barrier. Still, a B18 should net noticeable gains. He must not have checked out the engine before buying it huh?

The Integra was wrecked in the back, so he traded his d15 for the b18 that was in the Integra, and they put his d15 in the Integra. After the swap he sold the car because he said everything went downhill. I didnt ask him about it. Its been a while now, like a year ago. Now he owns a Jeep. lol
