  • YES!!!!! THANK YOU

  • ...wait who the fuck is Travis Barker again?

  • @youreastupid blink 182 drummer

  • That's the only d'n'b which I accept

  • Campbell doesn't get enough respect

  • One of the best fucking rhythm sections I've ever heard.

  • haha the real drum´n´bass.

  • 7 people are Bieber fans. Nice try

  • 9GAG!

  • Imagine if John's base was tuned even lower! this song would be even more CRUSHING!

  • @Yellowmarine92 its actually only in drop D :) so he only tuned the E to a D, which actually isnt low at all!

  • i think johns bass undistorted like this would sound better fingered

  • John Campell's Bass kind sounds like a mix of paul grey and Rex brown.

  • drums and bass, how it was born to be

  • Insane musicians, love em. Though I don't like John's tone.

  • @Direksone its alright. i prefer alex websters tone. picks and fingers make a distinct tone.

  • @xxcannibalxchristian Dont listen to Cannical Corpse so I can't tell. Paolo Gregoletto and Troy Sanders are my favorites tone wise.

  • @Direksone I love Paolo's tone/technique. Also, John Moyer, Paul Gray (R.I.P.), John Campbell, of course. 4 of metals best bass players :)

  • @Bludhoundz8 Agreed. All kickass. Not a big fan of Paul as a bassplayer, but as a songwriter he is immense.

  • @Direksone Yeah, definitely :) Oh yeah, and Victor Wooten. I know he's in a completely different genre, but that man is like the bassist equivalent of Steve Vai or John Petrucci.

  • @Bludhoundz8 Hes great, but no inspiration of mine. Not a fan of 'solo' bassplayers like Wooten.

  • @Direksone imo he is a great Bassplayer

  • @exist2resistXXX Paul Gray? I am not that impressed by his skills quite frankly, but as I said: as a songwriter he is immense. His role in Slipknot was, still is and always will be huge. He wrote a lot of material and for that I tip my hat, it takes a whole different musician to write kickass songs than to be technically really advanced.

  • @Direksone ... ImO ;-) only imO i know many ppl got the same opinion like you, but whem I watch all the "behind the player" stuff and look at my skills... ;-) A great Player in Metal for me, is not the Player with the best technic - for me it´s attitude and performance... I see music in a defferent way... I don´t wanna give lessons ... I only feel music and liv the Lifestyle... so he is a great Bassplayer for me :-)

  • @exist2resistXXX Yea those videos opened my eyes definately. That together with some of the stories and stuff I've seen from behind the scenes of AHIG. He really writes a lot and stuff, awesome. But on a technical level, and I understand where you're coming from, he is not that great to me as his technique is pretty lacking. On that level someone like Paolo Greggoletto or John Myung is more an inspiration to me.

  • If you know the song you can hear the guitar! :)

  • rhythm and bass...the true foundation of all music

  • real drum and bass, not that fucking techno shit fuck yeah!

  • I love Campbell's funky metal sound

  • LUV THE BASS AND DRUMS!!!

  • Is John slapping during the verses?

  • @bowler2383 Not to my knowledge, just using a pick. It gives it more of a treble sound.

  • @bowler2383 nah, just picking REALLY hard

  • seen log 2x both shows were AMAZING

  • \m/ ( + _ + ) \m/

  • nice one mate

  • Snare.

    THAT SNARE.

    THAT FUCKING SNARE!

    \mm/

  • I just did 150 sit ups to this track XD

  • Thats fucking sick...I wish he threw a little slap in there...

  • NICE!!!!!!! :D

  • I think I have found my new ringtone!

  • you think we could hear a Drum and Bass Foot To Throat?

  • Hi there!!! Does a VOCALS ONLY track for this song exist?

  • @NICK000DICK yeah. This was part of a studio edition that was released.

  • for some reason, I LOVE IT

thumbs if you love both adler and campbell

  • this is my 100th time listening to it today and its not old

  • LOL I was Listening to This and My Hand Slowly Moved into My Pants, cause those drum and bass SOUND SO SEXY TOGETHER!

  • between the buried and me are the most technical and ruthless band out there right now but lamb of god is definately 2nd . if you havent heard blake richardson yet just type his name in up there in that search bar and see what i mean. still both are very close

  • @baileynugs The most popular technical bands =/= the best.

  • @baileynugs listen to brain drill or meshuggah...two different types of technique but they are definitely more technical than the bands you mentioned. anyway LOG is stil an awesome band, with a nice amount of technique and an awesome groove :D

  • AHHHHH MY LEG CAN'T STOP BOUNCING!!!!

  • @Pamahana97 Mine too! They are going insane :O!!!

  • Anyone else find it ironic that Randy is in the picture of John?

  • @iShred1990 STFU

  • 2:08- 2:35 Earth just exploded. Ha ha

  • John Campbells a fucking god! im a bass player and this shit is hard for me to play (although with some pactice you can nail it) i tried learning this after 5 months of playing, i got it about 3 weeks after practicing it over and over but hey wats practice without doing the same thing. Thumbs Up for John!!!!!!

  • can you do a backing drums track for a power metal song

  • @kirbinator1 His signature jackson bass

  • gota love that sound

  • Lamb of God, Pantera = The best Metal Bands of our time!

  • @HillBillyToOoF Sounds like you've never heard of Meshuggah, Gojira, Periphery ect...

  • @punk9999643 Periphery? One of the best metal bands of our time? You've got to be kidding. They are good, but they are still really underground, and have a very long way to go.

Meshuggah is a completely different thing, but no way to deny that Pantera was one of the best metal bands of its era, and Lamb of god is one of the best bands out there now.

  • @RemusN7 Seriously? Who cares if they're "underground"? That doesn't take anything away from their fantastic and hard-to-find musicianship and originality. Don't get me wrong, I love Pantera and LOG (Adler is one of my favorite drummers), but the bands I listed just blows them away, technical and musically wise, at least in my opinion.

Being known doesn't have anything to do with music or how good a band is.

  • @punk9999643 It doesn't have anything to do with being good or bad, and Periphery is awesome, but calling it one of the best metal bands of our time is way to much. The main problem with that is that everybody will disagree with you. Calling a band "the best" is always very difficult. I like those bands you listed, and I wouldn't have a problem calling them the best bands of our time, but so many people is going to say Metallica, Slayer... I hope you get what I'm trying to say.

  • @RemusN7 Oh no, don't get me wrong, I get it. I said "at least in my opinion". Sorry if I sounded too assholish, I sometimes say stupid shit I don't mean. But I'm still gonna say Periphery are one of the best. Of course, my opinion.

  • This is so fucking awesome.

  • Best

  • oppinions are like assholes-everyone has one

  • @DOMIDOOM and most of them stink haha

  • @TJmixin hahaha

  • @AtyncX I wonder what he wants to do with it.

  • best rhythm section of any band since rage against the machine

  • @vigilverse2 Chad Smith and Flea

  • @vigilverse2 Rage=GODS. :)

  • That bass sounds just so clean and devastating!!!

  • I know guys are talking about John a lot, but god damn Adler is amazing on this track as well.

  • that's a very nice sound! please let the rest of the band retire ... they are just disturbing! :-)

  • Chris Adler is an insane motherfucker

the drums of this song were composed so perfectly

  • can anybody send me the picture of john campbell (bassist)?

    greetz

  • Comment removed

  • this pumps me up and makes me want to jump into a mosh pit. anyone else feel that way?

  • hey this is an incredible video dude. great bassist and drummers, some of the best in their genre. is there any specific way you strip the audio from the songs??? also could you maybe do a Laid To Rest one of these and send it to me? thx :D

  • @jtinker41 you can probably find an audio mixing program for your computer that lets u do that, just google for it you might find something.

  • hey this is an incredible video dude. great bassist and drummers, some of the best in their genre. is there any specific way you strip the audio from the songs???

  • john is a monster!!!

  • Damn.. Fucking sick dude.

  • I think, Campbell have his own style to play bass, no? (:

I prefer to use 3 Fingers but If Campbell want to use a Pick, he CAN u.u

    (And Sound Amazing for Me)

  • where i can download this?

  • @AIZEN1401 here ..................

  • Man, you really don't get to appreciate how skilled Campbell is in the standard tracks.

  • @Anthrax92007 He is a fucking awesome bassist.

  • could you do a ruin drum and bass please?

  • also about the discussion of using a pick or not, a good bassist is not determined by NOT using a pick or USING a pick but by KNOWING when to use a pick and when to use the fingers

  • @tolisdrums AGREED!

  • (sick)

  • its good for guitar covers

  • @SvdE95 its good for bass played who want to enjoy john's sick tone

  • 6 fags that dosent like this.... -.-

  • Para los panas q quieran tocar esta canción en guitarra, acá les dejo esto =D

  • can someone do a bass track of ruin pleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeese

  • @muzikmann816138 do a request to the uploader of this video ;)

  • 6 idiots missed the like button

  • omg this is (sic)

  • goddammmmmnnn this is theee shiiiet! thanks for sharing

  • this sounds so cool :)

why is it called "redneck drum and bass"?

  • @XSymphony because the song is redneck, but only the drums and bass are playing, if you want to hear the entire band go search for it

  • @XSymphony Yeah man, the song is called Redneck, but they took out the vocals and guitar. Look up the whole song if you'd like.

  • wow, its my two fav instruments played by my fav rockas in my fav band :D

  • fuck all the people who argue about picks or fingers

    fucking idiots

hate those little fuck who dunno shit about playing bass

makes me wanna to kill them one by one

playing fingers dosen't make you better than a player who plays with pick, stupid mother fuckers

  • Try playing that bass line. Good luck.

  • how do u do so u only can hear the drums?

  • @94eriliv Some ppl can extract specific instruments off Audacity or RockBand. Haahaa. Idk how to do either though. Maybe if you Google Audacity, it'll pop up.

  • The only bad thing about this vid is that I have to change my pants everytime I use this as a backing track when I play guitar because I jizz from having so much fun.

  • @MarkArandjus Use a tampon haha.

  • @chavosucks Fuck that, Always Ultra pads FTW :P

  • Campbell"s a beast!!

  • wow the bass is almost exactly the same as the guitar part- serious skill there

  • @xk8erbxg it doesnt take skill to to copy.

  • @kcobain8 i think he meant it takes skill to play on bass as it would be more difficult due to wider frets, wider string spacing, thicker strings etc.

  • @xk8erbxg you mean the guitar is almost exactly the same as the bass part? serious skill there

  • Picking is picking stop trying to pass it as a "downgrade" from finger PICKING.

  • this song owns

  • That bass tone is soo fucking thin...

  • LoG fucking rules!

  • Pick or fingers, campbell is beast, I prefer pick when i play bass cant move fingers fast enough to keep speed, I have to use pick.

  • @xSJNxJewBoy .. i actually like the tone with a pick more than fingers, but im faster with my fingers...also it makes it easier to do tappng, slapping, and alternating strings..idk how yall do it

  • John rips his Bass.

  • how can i spare like this? with a program?

  • @SULGORR You can do it with any music program available. <-- lol, spell fail

You can just search for "Music program", and then download a demo or something, and then take everything away, except the instruments / vocals you want.

  • @NamelessPCmovies23

    lol spell fail fail.

you do know they included these tracks in a second disc that came with sacrament?

the did the same with wrath.

  • Only with LOG do you know exactly what part of the listening to, even when it's only the drum that's playing. Chris Adler, respect. \m/

  • I love the bass sound!

  • worlds best sounding bass drum

  • Can you just guitar and bass tracks as well?

  • well one thing with just using pick for songs these is u should learn all styles of playing bass( Slap,FInger, and pick) so u build up skill, musceles, and ull be able to play things differantly, and be ready for almost any situation. so don't be closed minded it will in the end hold u back as a bassist.

  • As much as I hate to admit it, this mouthbreather is right.

  • no, you just play like you want, what sounds best and what's the most suitable for you..

  • Go listen to the Red Chord, Greg Weeks would beat your ass any day, same goes for this guy. Rex Brown would eat you ALIVE for that too! And all the really good punk players out there, I can think of a prominent jazz bassist who plays with a pick, most of the dudes you listen to on the radio or whatever probably play with a pick.

  • so?everybody loves pussys!

  • @fleshTH this style of music NEEDS a pick for the bass guitar bro. Other music doesn't, but if he didn't record this with a pick, it would take away from the sound

  • A classical guitarist could say the same thing to a metal guitarist.

  • @fleshTH - playing with a pick creates a sound that many bassist prefer.

  • Guyes...Guyes ....if the guye likes to Play with Fingers or a Pick let them be aslong as he Likes it and plays Good i dont see the Problem-____-

  • sorry

    what?

    guyes?

  • Weed sorry lol

  • lol

    its kewl

    we've all been there

  • @INMETALWETRUST1988 It's the same thing with drummers, how you're not actually playing unless you hold the sticks classic style, or at least, that's what I was exposed to starting out as a drummer.

  • @INMETALWETRUST1988 ops guys* xD

  • @INMETALWETRUST1988 GUYS! you fuckin retard. any way, i agree hahah.

  • @cclmagic yes bad english xD still working on it lol

  • @INMETALWETRUST1988 hahaha alright

  • @INMETALWETRUST1988 using the pick actually creates a different sound and is easier for fast riffs such as metal in my opinion it makes some songs sound better \M/

  • @HillBillyToOoF i agree. alot of people criticize this guy for using a pick, which is stupid and ignorant. playing with a pick produces a good sound for punk and metal music.

  • trivium likes cock. and this bass line is sick!

  • @monkeyman2812 wouldnt he picks who he fingers? >.> play on words there nyuck nyuck

  • omg:d I WILL MAKE A GUITAR COVER FOR YOU'R VERSION:d VERY GOOD!

  • The whole bass picking or plucking thing is a bit ridiculous...Play it how ever it suits you

  • dude i knew he had to be good but now that i hear this i realize he's A FUCKING GOOOODDDD!!!

  • Holy kickass drum'n'bass track, Batman!

  • Is that you what a freak! hahahahahahahahahahaha

  • WTF? why you such a little bitch. You need to learn how to buck up boy

  • Thank you so much for uploading this, been looking everywhere for drum and bass Sacrament tracks.

  • that 5th string is just magic, any real bass player knows that. its cool to have the low end but then you'd need guitarists with a 7th string to accompany that

  • also want to add... he also uses his fingers, which is great, cos a lot of people go "oo, fast music, i'll use a pick" but jon is better than that...

    he's badass

  • Not a good picture to accompany it of him i know he does play with his fingers cuz of the videos i've seen but maybe its just me but it looks like a pick in his hand even if its his finger... a pick finger (Y) xD

  • He does use a pick sometimes.

You can even hear it in the video...

Still, he is really talented and very underrated. And I don't have anything against picks.

  • i used to be agaisnt picks but when you record it sounds soo sick

  • I hate picks in every way shape and form for bass because bassists how use them usually have no concept of what bass is, however, John Campbell knows exactly what a bass is for. He keeps the low end of the band and is in sync with the drums. He is an awesome bassist.

  • that makes no sense because triviums bassist uses pick and he knows exactly what a bass is for, jason newstead is a great bassist aswell tom araya doesnt do anything that bassist shouldnt
