Another way to "accidentally" break ur reed is to wave around ur oboe, then "accidentally" slam ur elbow from above onto ur reed. I had to get another one cuz i accidentally smashed mine

I dont save my bassoon reeds...well some of them i do, only if they are really terrible, and then i mess around with them...then they reaally break

i had a reed destruction session just a while ago^^ some reeds can't be rescued, but before smashing them i'd always try to scrape and adjust as much as possible to get a good sound. but if youre really mad at it, smashing is probably the only way ;)

man everyone in my school band which is ile 70 woodwinds and welll we havee a toatl of 140 7th grade banders

and every body hates the oboe

we all find it to be soooo anoying you know

i dont mean to be rude but man that thing sounds like a canidian goose/duck about to die and suffering at the same time

they gave us the choice what we would stwich to if we wanted 2 stwich and only 4 out of the band are oboes

i know its hard i feel for them it is verry hard the fingerings are hard and u need 2 keep the reed wet the whole time
