  • @ArchitectDream Because T-34/85 had a bigger 85mm gun than the Panther's PaK 42 75mm - so it would fire a bigger HE in 1-1 shots plus the T-34/85 could travel faster than a Panther. However German crews were better trained and the Panther had superior optics plus a more accurate gun/more powerful trajectory than the 85mm ZiS 53 - even the Sherman's M1 76mm was superior to the 85mm gun! But you reckon a Panther could kill a T-34/85 before it even had the chance to knock the German tank out?

  • @ArchitectDream And there was also the Jagpanther! Which I take since it inherited the Panther chassis it would have not only had the benefit of the 80mm front glacis armour but its drive transmission shouldn't have too much of an issue as the Germans solved (and they did correct some main problems by the Ausf G) the engine problems. Has the T-34/85 been over-rated in terms of armour and gun power? I hear like its 85mm could punch a Panther at 1000 yards or it had 90mm worth of armor.

  • Rammstein auf russisch.

  • t34 was medium tank while jagdtiger was powerful self propelled gun with 250mm armor and caliber of 128mm. its stupid to compare them

  • Why must people spoil these videos with awful rock music? Just give us the ingame sounds please.

  • i just bought this game, but when i put it in, nothing fucking happens!!! and when i try to do it manually, the screen just freezes!!! i have windows vista, can someone PLEASE help me find a way to play this game on vista??

  • try to download NO CD crack or just patch it

  • WHATS THE GAME?>!!!!

  • Raise your eyes a little, it's written in big letters above the video. Otherwise read the intro text.

  • wtf

  • indeed, Jagdtiger is one mighty beast, but it's an SP tank destroyer, not a tank, thus its frontal armor (which is almost invincible) is always facing the tank he wants to destroy, leaving the vulnerable side armor in open view for any other enemy tank, so, in this game, with 3-4 T-34-85, used properly, you can kill it using a decoy, also in this game.. you can aim to destroy its tracks so the mighty Jagdtiger can't turn (most likelly the crew will abandon it)!

  • @wehrmachtR But this is confusing if the Germans had experience in using sloped armor - how could the Jagdtiger's side armor be vulnerable? I read it was 80mm SLOPED - which should be thicker than a Panther's side armor or am I reading the wrong information? It a battle in 1945 an inexperienced Jagdtiger crew kicked the bucket after the commander panicked from a squad of Shermans who at first failed to punch the 250mm superchassis but later managed to punch the side armor...

  • @HeirofGojira91 cause putting more armor on the sides would have made it even more heavier, and it is too heavy to begin with, and it can not be so inclined, because it needs space for the massive gun breaching and stuff. that's why jagtiger should always face the enemy.

  • @wehrmachtR Actually the Jagdpanther would have been more practical as it was faster and had pretty good armor already inherited from the Panther tank chassis - and the 88mm PaK 43 mounted in the Jagdpanther made it a neat baby in the art of ambush/defence tank hunting in WWII - only problem was maintenance and raw materials needed to make enough of them. Besides the Jagdpanther solved the Elefant's speed and Nashorn's poor armor.

  • @HeirofGojira91 and yeah, the jagpanther is also in my opinion the best TD design in WWII.

  • @wehrmachtR Arrgghh - geez wikipedia is sure annoying - because I assumed the Jagdtiger's 80mm armor woudl be = to the Panzer IV Ausf H 80mm worth of armour which the basic Sherman had problems punching through in the hull. And the fact that ther basic Sherman's had to use AP ammunition at less than 1000 m to have a chance to even strike a Tiger I's SIDE armor - also 80mm and it probably wasn't as sloped as a Jagdtiger ... hmm but I see your point on weight issues emphasis :)

  • @wehrmachtR And actually Panther tank commanders knew the tactical weakness of athe Panther was the side armor hence they resolved at times to keep the frontal hull plus the PaK 42 facing Allied tanks at ALL times which showed it was actually a tactical advantage if it was long range sniping of tanks :) Which the Panther and I bet natrually the Jagdpanther did quite nicely in WWII :)

  • hahah nice music! I know that he sings in a song!

  • What is this music??? xD

  • Sure as the King tiger the JagTiger was almost invisable however it was too heavy for its poor enginge causing over heating and many break downs it was ofley slow. Not to mention needed many fuel stops and fuel was like gold back then to Germany not easy to come by . Thoes tanks in the end were abadont through out france and poland as the germans retreated and they were broght to war museums never to have a desighn in moder history

  • well that also brings us to the tactic when you basically turn the tiger or king tiger into an artillery piece dug into a trench into the ground because the main gun on both the turrets of the tiger and king tiger were the same as a flak 88 although this tiger was actually more vulnirable as it wont be able to move you surround it with either a couple of panzer mark 4s or maybe even a panther (which i highly doubt tht happened)

  • Yeah problem is the Tiger and King Tiger were made to push through the enemy and their armor not to shell them. Also a Panther had many of the same draw backs as the Tiger and King Tiger. Too much armor and weight not a large enough engine. Panthers would have also been very difficult to repair on the front should an Bazooka or a Pershing or even an Is-2 or t-34 get a hit a break something they'd have to abandon the tank

  • @GlenIV

The only thing difficult to repair is your ass,the Panther was fairly easy to repair and the same I could say about the Tiger tank.

  • @GlenIV Is the Panther superior to a T-34/85 in a 1-1 engagement? Or the Russian tank takes it due to a bigger 85mm gun able to fire a bigger HE in 1-1 shots and the Russian tank being faster with 90mm worth of armor. Because in '44 in one battle a Panther squad with some Tiger I's took out a large number of T-34/85's and IS-2 tanks due to German training and superior optics of German tanks. How would a Panther fare though in a 1-1 then to an IS-2 tank?

  • @deadman903 Actually they were not. The caliber is nearly the only thing they have in common

  • @GlenIV Expensive, fuel hungry, metal hungry (needed raw materials to make the armor and gun shells :) ) - the Jagpanther actually would have completed the job nicely if not better than the two near 70 tonne behemoths, though the legacy they carved was unique if not a little tragic to change Germany's fortunes in WWII - particularly the thick armor...

  • to all:

look at the description of a videoclip to find the link to a song's mp3.

  • You can`t imagine how often I watched this video before Theatre of War was released by Battlefront.

:-) The music does its part, too, of course... although I don`t understand the text. :-(

  • it's a parody mix of a famous russian pop song, rammstein style and really brain-dead lyrics :) it's untranslatable folklore.

  • After I watched it I checked everything about Pushnoy I could find, but didn`t find the song. I always heard him saying a word like "Fräulein" (unmarried woman). So, it really can be? :-) Then it would be like Charlie Chaplin in "The Great Dictator", when he imitated a speech of Hitler and put a few words in it which sounded german. :-)

  • yes, you are right.

    i'll try to translate:

    Fraulein Sokolova's birthday today.

    She's 30 years old now.

    I bear a congratulation and

a few meal as a gift to her.

  • (continued)

    Chikens, milk and eggs

    For fraulein Sokolova!

    For fraulein Sokolova,

    for my girl-schoolmate!

    Chikens, milk and eggs, ja-ja!

I present it to her again

In the memory of our schoolmate...

...who have fallen in the last century from Russian bullets...

  • About "Chikens, milk and eggs" or "Kurki, mleko, yayki" (russian) or "Курки, млеко, яйки" (cyrillic russian). This phrase in broken Russian was used by nazis when they took away meal from peace inhabitants during occupation of the USSR. This phrase oftenly used in satirical anti-nazi plays, movies, jokes, etc.
