A pure and innocent song from a similar time. It only makes me sad now to hear it and other songs like it because I can feel the evil and corruption of our present time-so dense and all pervasive -reaching back to taint even this sweet and innocent little melody. Not even time is enough of a barrier.
POSTD UP JUST BUMPING THESE MOTHAFUCKIN JAMMS DAMN HOMIE THIS IS MUSIK CHALE CANT EVER GO BACK TO THE PAST I WISH I COULD JUST TURN BACK THE HANDS OF TIME AND WELL DO EVERYTHING MUCH BETTER HAVE MORE FUN FUCK MORE BITCHS HAHAHA!!!
This is the type of song u put wen u chillin with the lie of ur life either cruisen down the las Vegas strip or just chillin at the view this is wat makes ppl fall in love
This group performed on PBS and looked and sounded just as good as they did back then. So I guess it's true your appearance and sound shows the care you chose to take, this song will never die...Love those Italians from NYC and Philly..
bulshit aint no veteranos on here...they dont even know how to type all mi familia is oldschool and there all dead or in prison....oldies 4ever though
My Dad was in the band. If their manager would have let them release"Mosre Code Of Love as a follow-up to There's A Moon Oout Tonight they wouldn't have been a 'One Hit Wonder' but he felt they should keep doing slow ballads - big mistake! My Dad regrets that to this day. They were a geat band, even though. Their live performances were great!
if thats ur dad then tell him for me that he made one of the best oldies ever on the real this song always brings back memories thanx to ur pops and his band
A girl at his side and a glow in his heart, need I say any more. What a romantic doo-wop song. This would be their one-and-only major charted hit of their career in the top forty billboard charts, in fact it climbed to the number three spot in 1961. They just don't make them like that any more. Thank the lord guys like these make their rounds on the oldies revival circuits for us to enjoy and reminisce. And last but not least,'long live rock 'n' roll' !!
@brucer12 i can tell you how i take this song.the song blends some vocal excellence with some capture of that love feel with your "baby".everybody should listen to this at least once.just perfect.so many memories are attached.
I'm not Italian, but the list of great Italian- American singers goes on and on, espcially in the 50's and 60'. Many of the group lead singers are or were Italian: Lead singer of the Crest and the Dovells and don't forget Frankie Valli. Also solos like the great Frank Sinatra, Bobby Daring, Bobby Rydell,Frankie Avolon. Of course you probably know all this, nevertheless, I can't thank them enough for the wonderful memories they have given me through out the years.
One of the greatest slow doo wop songs ever. Nick is one of best lead singers to come out of Queens. Actually released in 1959, did nothing. A DJ played it loved it in 1961 and the rest is history.
I use to sing this song to my O'l girl friend years ago, and she thought I was making it up till one day she heard it playing in the gas station while we were gasin up. She said to me, your not crazy after all! check me out on youtube at MusicMatty67

Great song. Nowadays, though, if you go strolling through the park at night, you'll get mugged. Those were the days.

Still have my original 45's from the do wop era. Have a set up that eliminates the plastic sounds. Beautiful music that will last forever,

The lead singer is Italian, as well as the other members. The italians have the greatest voices. Caruso, Lanza, Como, even Dion and the Belmonts.
