  • This is my favorite song love it Brian is so lovely!!!

  • Some kids get addicted to looking at Facebook, some kids get addicted to playing online games 6+ hours a day, I loose my computer for 6 days and start crying tears of quiet happiness just being able to hear this song again.

  • I need a flux capacitor

  • Can't wait to see them at the new years concert in Sydney

  • LOVE this song, never heard it before I got it on 12 inch single about 7 weeks ago from a local charity shop for 10p also got at the same time, 12 inch singles of I'll Save All My Kisses by Dead Or Alive, The Great Commandment by Camouflage, Somebody Someday by 2AM and Girl In The Ghetto by Cry Before Dawn all 10p each too, was well happy LOL

  • The best song they ever did, underrated.

  • First saw Pseudo Echo on Hey Hey Its Saturday singing Funky Town. What a band. World class. Australia has the best bands in the world.

  • @volvor730 so so so true I always wish we cold go back be young happy cruisin' just for the fun of it!

  • YEAAAAAA!!!!THIS IS MUSIC!!!!

  • One Of My Fav Band's From The 80's, Loved James Leigh & He Still Looks Hot Now.

  • North Shore 1987.

  • I've had this FUCKIGTASTIC track on "cassette tape" since 1988 ( yeah, I've STILL got "tapes" and I wouldn't TRADE them for NONE of this "modern" SUCK ASS SHIT which FUCKS UP within 5 min. of purchase!!!...) Anyway, my tape from '88 STILL plays just FINE and I never knew until TODAY ( ONLY 23 years LATER!!!... Lol!!!...) that this great song I taped from "college radio" back then was "Pseudo Echo"!!!.... NOSTALGIA-VILLE for sure!!!....

  • Keytar!

  • Coomoora Secondary College 1987 to anyone who remembers this performance done by a boy named ottarma or someting like that.

  • OH YEAH!!!

  • Damn Brian was so hot.....until Vince joined...mmm now he was fine looking!

  • extraordinary!!

  • Hip Clip of the Week.

  • this guy always reminds me of a cross between christian slayter and corey hart don,t u think

  • That is probably the greatest 'stache I've ever seen.

  • damn the 80s was sooooo cheesy! i love it!!! <3

  • I'd be happy if men stopped bathing in axe they are worse than women nowadays.deodarant and a shower is all a man needs.proper fitting pants would also be a good idea=)never heard this one before.I like it.

  • whats icedout?

  • Is this the US version?

  • @Patopeaking no it's australian version

  • THIS IS NO WHERE NEAR THE ORIGINAL ALBUM VERSION.

Not that its bad, it's just different from what I heard/seen with the same video... I wish someone can post the original album version, not the "beefed-up, steroid-extendo-supahr-sheen, version of this....

    P.S. @calimero1982 you are awesome...

  • en unos videos puros maricones esos

  • This version of Livin in a Dream says it is from the album Love an Adventure but the running time on the album is 3:28 where this video is 4:16. How can I download this one?

  • this band reminds me of summer camp? i remember sharing what i liked about this band? i was so in love? lol

  • 11 people arent living in a dream

  • I feel so very, very old watcing this--because I have first hand memories of when this came out. Us generation xers are like the babyboomers reminiscing over doo-wap and buddy holly kitsch 20 years ago

  • north shore brought me here

  • @9t9t3 same here. i'm trying to put together the soundtrack.

  • loved pseudo echo still do seeing them live soon they are still going !!!

  • I forget this was one of their songs. Fantastic.

  • the best rock of the 80s

  • I loved Brian and James back then, posters in my room and i would just DREAM!!! haha

  • North Shore baby!!!

  • As much as i hated Bros, they were a lot better than the "best" pop music of today. Lol. Pseudo still sound fantastic, even after all those years.

  • They are borderline "straight" as far as music goes. Brian Canham rocks, but the guitar-keyboard and the other blokes, well, um, yeah... The Marshall quadbox speaker stacks just get them over the line to straight ;-)

Just kidding, but anything with heaps of keyboards and production was automatically gay in the 80s - just have a look at Bros...

  • why does everybody keep calling them gay for? this is awesome music!

  • bring back the 80's bands when you could understand what they where singing

  • Wierd how the "wall of sound" isnt there after 1:57, I know this is a remix and it does sound good! But the original sound eludes me here... :)) *smilies*

  • Wow! This is the first time I've seen this video for the song. When this first came out, the U.S. music channels showed a completely different performance video.

  • @DominicanAllSaints Yes, I agree...I remember a totally different video for this song. TBS's NIGHT TRACKS used to show...that's how I was introduced to Psuedo Echo way back in 1987! Then FUNKYTOWN became their big hit and I was ahead of the game cause I had their tape! The chicks still hated me!

  • WTF ..i see one video before of them a beat for you .in there they look like a gay young group..jajaja in this video they look so manly .

  • I burst out laughing when he first started singing...

  • back in the day when i saw them my first thought was ...is this aha's grittier brother

  • @femwraith no its their gay aussie cousuns

  • the original era of rayban sunnies!!! :D

  • Oh to have my 1983 Oldsmobile Fierenza that was leakingwater from the sunroof and "trunk." Some of my friends were 2-3 yrs younger than me and I'd pick them up from school as a favor, but they'd wondered: "Who is this AWESOME band?" And I'd ennunciate (incorrectly: Psuedo Echo, from Australia!"), and they'd go, yea, yea.... Of course I'd find out, they went to the local RECORD shop, bought the RECORD, and thank me later... I just want to thank PE, for this AWESOME video....

  • eww

  • rem this one brain walk in a stang room livin in a dream its dream its stange to be when you r livin dream here eyes around me its not king or queen its strange wars no viiolence lmao

  • hahaha,, acting like bad asses on a plastic set... Funny. Unintentionally funny. But funny. See Franz Ferdinand's Do You Want To" for a great intentionally funny video and a great song. BTW Echo & The Bunnymen & Ian McCulloch, the Cocteau Twins and Depeche Mode ruled the 80's, and some still up to this very day.

  • What's the guys name who's playing the keyboard?

  • @reginablablabla the dudes name is james leigh. As a matter of interest.....his brother was the drummer Vince Leigh.

  • @reginablablabla don't you mean keytar?

  • I have seen this video in ages. Great song !!!!

  • That story has been shown many times: the band comes in and the REAL party starts. But I'm somehow particularly fascinated with this clip. Truly great video, truly great band. Go Australians :) You have fantastic musicians over there:)

  • I sing along to this when I come home from work.

  • Video de macarras ochenteros, pero que al final no son tan malos y se enrollan. Al final son Pseudo macarras.

  • North Shore Pipeline Hawaii 80's

    Living in a Dream...

  • The 80's were the best era ever, but even if the 80's came back it just wouldn't be the same

  • oh man i use to be so in love with this band????still hot!!!baby!!

  • Oddly Oingo Boingo-esque-ish...kinda. Talent!

  • These guys rocked. I saw them about a week ago in Cairns

    Had a great time

  • saw these guys twice on the weekend......went off... one of the best concerts ive been to in a while!

  • Man! he can play the guitar!

  • this band is so hot!!

  • Ha Ha, never EVEN seen this video, but I knew it from KROQ -Rock of THe 80s and of course the movie where RICK KANE first lands on the NORTH SHORE!!

  • Wow, this band is really good, I can't believe I never heard of them before (I guess being couple of decades late is better than never).

  • OMG.....I used to love that hair back then!!!... tight jeans and t-shirts or white jumpers tucked in jeans and done up hair.....it's funny how times change!!!

  • I use to work with a girl who's boyfriend was in a band who covered many of psuedo echos songs was a lot of fun to sit with the band between songs.

  • makes me wanna dance!!!

  • Pseudo Echo are a FANTASTIC band!!!! It's great to see James in this video. He has an older cousin i met a couple of times years back, is a singer and friend of my brother. He was going to take me to meet James, but did not end up happening. Maybe one day! James is a honey!!!!

  • nice

  • Eat my bum biscuits. Pseudo Echo is king.

  • This is so 1980s u think michael j fox is goin 2 pop hes head up b4 the song ends

  • Shut up and eat your pop rocks you! : )

  • I remember seeing them on MTV when this song first came out. So pop-sounding but catchy with great playing. Long live P.S.!

  • they are good in the 80s, but 90s......

  • Wait a minute- this is the back to the future stage from the Enchantment Under the Sea dance! "Marty, that was very interesting music"

  • "And the music starts with the simmons drums". ;-)

  • Today electronic drums sound like acoustic drums, but in the 80s they could make acoustic drums sound like electronic drums.

  • I know it. I've grown with the 70's and 80's music. I love vintage synths.

  • LOL!

  • OMG !!! I remember this one...lol

i like their other song "Listening" that was played a lot on LIR

    ; )

  • This is the opening song in the wave pool in Arizona where Rick wins 500 dollers for winning a surf contest in the movie North shore. Pseudo Echo did most of the soundtrack. The movie now is bigger then when it came out because, a whole bunch of big surfers were in it. Laird Hammellton for one, who is now known for riding the first 100 ft wave in South Africa. His name was Lance Berckheart, and played a complete asshole. He should get into raw Lol.

  • I wish there was I way I could download all the Songs (from youtube) from the Love an Adventure album I have the Album( LP) and Cassette. I have nothing to play the LP on and the Cassette is to worn out.

  • Every aussie band in the 80s seemed to have a horn section

  • I have the best of CD. These guys had the best extended mixes of anyone.

  • 1:22 SEXXY keytar!!!

  • Good musicians, but they ended up looking the daggiest of all 80s bands I know.

  • loved them before the Lygon Street brothers joined the band ...

    hee hee ...

  • boy does this bring back memories.

  • OMG, so tragic that i remember having a crush on James the keyboard player!! I have this album on vinyl - it was the first one i ever bought, i was 12 years old, and i still play it for drunken kareoke sessions! SOOOOOOO funny

  • OMG...so did I..loved him. Will you please check out how damn high those jeans are??

  • tnks dude ... this song is awessome

  • LOL

They look kinda dorky, good song though

  • thanks for posting. i never knew who sang this song and only heard it once-20 some odd years ago!

  • I used to see this video when I'd go into this stereo / tv retail shit-hole. They sound better than I remember and I liked this song back then.

  • Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh fantastic song!

  • How come the young men were so much cuter in the 80's than the young men are today????

  • two words: no beards.

  • LOL......is it that simple?

  • 80's singers were clean looking, before the grunge look appeared.

  • I too have wondered why young men were cuter in the 80's than young men are today!!

  • @spookyhansu coz those were still MEN...real men...hard to find manly men today...:(

  • @HomeComingPrisoner

I would say in the eighties there was a lot of androgyne and gay make-up artists. Only to name a few:

    Divine

    Garry Numan

    Boy George

    Steve Strange

    David Sylvian

but I liked it and I'm not gay...

  • because they are looking like a damned Hip Hop Idiot and not like a cool new waver.

    @spookyhansu

  • @spookyhansu Id be happy if they just new how to wear pants. Up at the waist, not at your knees like normal people.

  • @spookyhansu Id be happy if they just new how to wear pants. Up at the waist, not at your knees like normal people.

  • @spookyhansu It's the cool hair and cool jackets. I'm sure of it.

  • @whutzat its because they were not computer geeks or nerds with overload of school brainwashing

  • @whutzat because these ones are aussies ;)

  • @whutzat LOL... because nowadays they wear their pants around their ankles, as wanna be gangstas ... back in the day we all wore it tight :-) showed the booty lol

  • @whutzat Because today they're all trying to look like Justin Beiber. EW!

  • @whutzat They were all gay but didnt look it. Now their still gay but you can tell their gay.

  • @ravenlorans so they were all poofs .

  • @whutzat pot

  • @whutzat if the modern lad reclaimed for himself the nice mullet sculpted off the face like a cuddly forest creature, and slipped into an airy low-collar shirt and a strict brow removal regime ... Actually, go down to Leichhardt or any of the other great soccer districts of our fair nation and content your heart!

  • @whutzat They weren't overweight, had some hair on their head, didnt dress like a gym teacher, and didn't let homophobia dictate their every move. Im other words they had some style?

  • Thanks for posting! This rocks!!!

  • Pierre looks quite cute in this video. In the day I only had eyes for Brian, but having met them the other day I have developed a new appreciation for Pierre.
