Loved this movie.

Even though I watched it in tenerife and the reception kept fucking up so it was hard to watch.

Didn't love it until the bit where they rob the downs kid.

Although the "why can't life be easy" bit was great.

its a magical movie. should have gotten more attention. funniest/most tragic Irish film in years. real laughs and emotion in it. If you dont get teary at the end you are not human. In my top ten of all time.

This a gem of a film.Humour sometimes is the best medium to convey tragedy.How they lose everything including pride...And the scene when one of them sits on a dust bin and wails "Why can't things be easy just for once".Hear rending and funny.Great film.

Watched this for the first time and really enjoyed it.

If you're looking for an all action Hollywood movie then you'll be disappointed, but if you're looking for a slice of real life with real characters who can make you laugh one minute and then wince the next then watch it now!

I can see this becoming a cult classic!

Sad ending and even sadder finding out that Tom Murphy had died in 2007. R.I.P.

saw this lastnight too, thought i wouldn't enjoy it, very well done film, with very human characters, both the lead actors are brilliant, tom murphys character is very moving and true to life,very sad ending but again true to life, i didn't know of his work, a real shame he died...........

My uncle Mark O'Halloran plays Adam in the red jacket. Really proud of him. Parents were at the awards in Galway. After the movie ended, he got a standing ovation onstage with Tom Murphy. Tom was apparently a really nice guy. He died last october, and I haven't seen mark in a while myself. But I'm going to Ireland in february to see him and the rest.

It can be ordered from the UK Amazon site, but the problem is it's region 2. So unless you have a multi region DVD player, that's probably not much good.

Garage is available everywhere expect the UK as far as I'm aware, and the DVD is definitely region free.

@emmet001 you can play/watch any region dvd in a computer DVD drive. You can only change the region on the dvd drive 5 or 6 times before it's locked, though.

I worked with homeless people (mostly drug addicts) for about four years and this film is spot-on in a funny-but-tragic-but-they-kind­-of-derserve-it sort of way, but you can't help feeling for them! Excellent performances.
