  • Midichlorians are shit. They piss me off. And when I try to argue my case against it, i get faggots who try and go all scientific on my ass, thus making arguing for the older "mystical force field you could tap into" argument void, and forcing me to fall back on my normally superior knowledge of genetics and make compromises. Actually, by commenting here, I am inviting people to do so, as my love of science unfortunately surpasses that of star wars. Shit i shouldn't have said that :S.

  • how did you do the talking face thing?

  • The two things that always make my week, the Force-Cast and the videos put out by the Jawas. As always, top quality work Jawas. Can't wait to see what the next year brings.

  • Love the awesome video version again Jawas! Still a great way to further enjoy our favorite podcast! Makes me laugh out loud every time!

    Keep up the great work!

  • Great video Jawas! Never listen to haters, because they're all just jealous. Constructive criticism is one [acceptable] thing; posting "this is sad..." is not. :-)

  • this is sad...

  • This is the best video yet. Great job Jawas!

  • dude you're fucking dumb, thats it

  • i remember reading a book by John Crossan, the esteemed Xian scholar. In the book he tried to give a scientific basis to being infused by the Holy Spirit. When I heard about the midichlorians, i thought it was just a scientific explanation for the Force. thats it.

i didn't think it was Lucas goofing off or something

  • What's confusing to me is where people got the impression from the OT that just anyone could be come a Jedi, with enough training and hard work, and the amount of training and hard work you put in determined how strong you are. Granted, if the Force worked that way it would make more sense for Jedi and Sith to be considered religions, but I always thought it was fairly clear that some people could access the Force and some couldn't.

  • As the makers of this fine film, we feel obligated to address this controversy. We are not suggesting that midichlorians are to be dismissed. We have merely produced a video that portrays the controversy as a parody. It's just funny.

Minck Ink will suggest that those interested in the midichlorian debate investigate the Force Cast from 12/21/07 (~1:39) and listen to Gar describe his perspective. We here at Minck Ink find that is a more palatable explanation of the cannon than "George went nuts"

  • It seems a lot of people forget that the midichlorians aren't the Force. In the Star Wars universe, every living thing has midichlorians, so where is the problem?

And the midichlorians are an concept presents in George notes before 1977, just read the A New Hope making of book. So the argument that it was something he came up with for the prequels is totally false.

  • EXACTLY! The Force remains mystical and mysterious, it just so happens that their mechanism for interacting with the mundane and material world is mundane and material. Think of it like God communicating with prophets via telephone.

  • I'm just trying to forget Midichlorians even exist, to be honest. As harsh as that may sound, it's the honest to goodness truth. I really and honestly have to wonder sometimes if Lucas lost his mind whilst writing the PT.
