I think that there are similarities between the two songs, like the structure/pace, but that there are also very significant differences. I just can't see Lana Del Rey as a Kirkwood impersonator, no matter how hard I try. And I listened to this album many, many, many times on a cassette with the Gun Club's "Fire of Love" on the other side : a perfect pairing.
