  • "Some new and unique feachers for 1950 include; A/C, power windos, trip odometer, and seats that come out of the floor to hold up to 7, its all new for 1950. Chrysler we offer luxury... for less"

  • @BrettxBAZ71195 1950 dude...

  • @BrettxBAZ71195 its from 1950...you dont know allot about cars, do you?

  • STRAIGHT 8 IN LINE...

  • nice car. does it run. or did you lose the keys or something? but great video as always.

  • y dident u start it

  • I could just imagine either Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra riding in the back of this thing.

  • whenever you say "Hey guys hows it going" i say Depressed :(

  • @DarnLevel stop feeling sorry for yourself & fix it or buy medication.

  • do you still have this car?

  • it doesnt start?

  • @JeremyLikeCorvettes LOL did you not see the engine compartment?

  • non c'è plastica...

  • Great car!

  • just think, my rice burner may outlast me as long as the people who rode in this car have past away

  • Wow... What a huge object. And a beautiful one!!

  • AWESOME!

  • Nice find, just needs a rebuild. everybody who sat it is dead by now :(

  • @TheDoncreation Not true what if a baby sat in the car?

  • nice car! especially the interior details like the instruments look nice because they have this awesome art déco style.

  • the Chrysler Crown Imperial was assembled in

    Detroit, Michigan, USA

  • Electric windows in 60 year old car? Wow.

  • it kinda looks like the car vito rides in at the beginning of the last chapter in mafia 2

  • I would give them my El Camino SS for this anyday! If only it was still for sale...im pretty sure its gone by now!

  • I want to buy a car like this to fix it up and drive it off into the sunset.. Just like the movies.

  • My grandfather purchased new a 1950 New Yorker that was only slightly smaller than this beauty. My mother frequently borrowed, and then owned, the car. That is not likely to be a manual transmission. It is a form of automatic. Put the car in 3rd gear using the clutch, and then drive away. Lift off the gas to shift automatically. It can be shifted through the gears, but not necessary. I drove the car around the yard and often pulled out the 6-volt battery and lugged it into the basement to charge

  • Total resto but well worth the price. Somebody SAVE this car!

  • if only it could talk :(

  • Now thats a great resto project, if a limo company gets it all fixed up they would have a awesome vehicle for its services.

  • what's a mafia :o

  • Doesn't look so bad for it's age, but five grand does seem a bit too much to me, but I'm European, so I have no idea what the market prices are. Apparently it is cheap over there. I would have staked 3000 straight up never the less.

  • Beautiful car

  • 50s cars for the win!!!

  • if i were to buy a limousine nowadays, i would prefer this car to a s-class or 7 series bmw. nothing beats the style and elegance of this car.

  • God Almighty, Kyle! That's awesome!

  • Why can't it be started?

  • People seem to be surprised at how cheap you can pick up late 40's early 50's cars for.

It's the amount of money you are going to be spending trying to find parts and other restoration expenses.

  • its that hollywood car from mafia 2

  • Wow!!!! This is a really neat car in need of a little TLC. I'd like to see it get started up too.

  • You forgot to show the trunk.

This car deserves to be restore!

  • thanks for the video kyle. :-)

  • HEY KYLE SHOW US THE CRANNIES

  • I WANNA SEE THE CRANNIES

  • The backseats looked awesome! timeless luxury! and the solid and genuine sound from closing those doors... aww

  • buy it saabkyle04 :)

  • not bad at all

  • a review of a newer dodge dakota or dodge nitro would be so much appreciated

  • dont make cars like they use to

  • you should do old cars more often kyle mate :)

  • i am wizard101emily also :D

  • Oh My God !!!! It is lovely old car. It will be restore brand new, as soon. Some Spits and polishes. : )

  • For a moment, I thought that bottle was for NOS.

  • @ElGuapoJoe LOL as did i

  • great Kyle,thanks )))

  • How does this compare in size to a big school bus? lol, it is really nice, but I would have ut a modern GM engine in it, but kept and restored the old engine for keeps.

  • I'm guessing that engine is a 367ci inline v8.

  • @kendrickevans301 i ,meant inline 8 cylinder

  • I can't believe this car has a independent suspention in the front at 3:26

  • @kendrickevans301 I can, Chrysler introduced it in 1932 or so, they called it "Knee Action" suspension, by 1950 all car makers had it, the last to introduce it was Ford in 1949.

  • Beautiful!!!

  • What were those maintenance kinda things on the sun visor mirror?

  • This car goes back to a time when chrysler and the other american manufacturers built the most good looking, the fastest and overall the best cars. Too bad chrysler nowadays makes shit cars, except maybe the 300c

  • Now we're talking. I'd sell a kidney to own a car like this. Shame you couldn't start it but maybe next time. I'd have loved to see what worked and heard the engine.

  • are you useing your new camera

  • @0326mata yes I am

  • yo Kyle I think that was the defroster not the AC. Also inline/straight 8 engines were common in luxury and race cars back in the day.

  • WOW what a classic. This was luxury back in its days

  • very nice car, i would have loved to see it start, maybe next time...

  • very nice car, i would have loved to see it start, but maybe next time...

  • Only 6.000$ for this magnificent car?! Damn i need some cash...

  • @zac60555 they dropped it to 5000 actually haha, I'd totally buy that if I could!

  • @saabkyle04 5,000 dollars for real? Thats insanity. I could totally buy it. My parents wouldn't let me though:P

  • holy! this car is gorgeous! anyway that shifter has the longest run i've ever seen!

  • This car looks very well done and well designed. I hope they bring it back soon.

  • wat a car. gotta love those classics. u should do a series on classic cars

  • @saabkyle04. I had two of these back in the 50's. One was a '49 Highlander the other a '50 New Yorker. The transmission has what is called "Fluid Drive".

You can go and stop without using the clutch just like an automatic, or you could shift it just like a 3 speed if you want. There was no A/C in those cars. What you were looking at were the standard heater and defroster controls. I know they are very antique looking, but yes they are the controls for the heater.

  • man I could almost feel the mesmerizing "vintage" feeling even when im watching this through youtube.

    Awesome stuff

  • what's the song you can hear from 8:10 onwords

  • an inline 8? :D First time i've heard of such engine :D

  • @P2nkzSB straight 8s were common from the 30s until the early 50s.

  • This is great, thanks so much for the awesome video.

  • More vidios li this kyle pls i love american classic. GOOD JOB

  • damm very nice kyle!

  • That's a restorers dream........

  • wowwww wowwww i am speechless.1950 airco wowwwwww.

just giood old days of the american cars.tobad we did t hear the motor

unless motor does t run.its restore project

  • Looks better than 1989 Accord Coupe xD

  • manual shifting on the column, whaaaaa

  • steering wheel has the current chrysler logo

  • why dint u at least start the car?

  • @nickproracer there must be a good reason he didn't start it, you know he would have cranked it up if it would start.

  • I imagine this car in a california sunset by the beach!!! cool vid man! =D

  • When cars where made with metal. Thanks for the tour Kyle.

  • @grawey77 the switches and levers look so massive. not the cheap grey plastic we get today

  • i like the 60 year old stow'n'go

  • Probably better quality than anything ever made by Chrysler! This is when Chrysler cared about cars!

  • Hey everybody, Hows it going? This is going to be a full indepth tour of this car, start it up, show the engine, and without further adue.....

  • Kyle, that has to be one of your best. I would love to buy and restore that car. I think it is awesome! Thanks for sharing.

  • thats a monster of a car..i would def buy this a restore it.

  • This is such a cool car. Whenever I see old cars like this, I love thinking about the history behind them. This car (and almost any old car) shows the values, beliefs, and feelings of the people 60 years ago who drove them. While some people like studying ancient, world, or U.S. History, I like studying automotive history.

  • I have (not for much longer) a 51 GMC truck, and it's not in great shape but I love it.

  • My uncle once owned a car almost exactly like this, though his was fully restored and in better condition. I regret not appreciating it more when he had it.

  • It looks so much different than modern cars...I might not know how to operate it if I got the chance to drive one.

  • kyle can u do one on a maybech ???

  • Awesome! Amazing how solid the door sounds when you close it...I was expecting to hear clunky rattling...lol. Very well built car!

  • That car was built like a tank! I like the way the doors sound when being closed.

  • I...Want

  • what a beautiful peace of american automobile history!!!!!! only an idiot would see it as junk!!!! THX 4 POSTING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i bet jay leno would buy this car in a second

  • @Scott125670 lol He probably already has one.

  • if only it was an automatic

  • i bet i could'nt even drive this thing tryin to figure out the gears and so on

  • 4:29 pig

  • Back when Chrysler made a desirable luxury car.

  • This thing is AWESOME! Great find!

  • does it run?

  • thats classy right there

  • kyle i was waiting for this car your the greatests man tht let peoples see cars tht they never saw

  • Oh damn dual zone climate control. Nice.

  • Do you know if the car runs?

  • Awesome!

  • I was hoping you were gonna start it up, but looks like its got a bad case of a dead battery

  • I like historical finds like these.. really make you take a little trip back in time. I'm really curious about that name plate under the radio, says James H Jones. Maybe he was the chauffeur way back when!

  • does it run

  • Wow, great find.. you really are going to great lengths to find different cars to review, that's really becoming obvious. MORE!

  • well after some resturation it might start looking like that fine automobile you talked about... but right now i dont see any fine automobile :P

  • Now that is riding in style, nice find man.

  • This is just a restoration waiting to happen any day now. Sometimes I wonder how you find all these different vehicles from trucks - everyday cars - classics like these. lol

  • thats an awesome car, someone definitely needs to buy it and restore it

  • Damn, interior looks a bit claustrophobic, you'd expect enough room inside this car to play tennis, but it looks kinda cramped in the front, or is it just the video.

  • Not runnin?

  • why do i feel there should be a machine gun in the trunk?

  • des it run

  • If someone restored it and it cam with that garbage bag i would buy it

    If i had the money

  • does i run

  • Good video thumbs up here

  • sweeet old calassic :D u should buu that car kyle :D

  • @saabkyle04 can you try find this a rare ford t model

  • Haha, now were talking ... Cool seeing this, but of course I would not be caught dead driving this ;-)

  • @zakyum Why would you not drive it LOL, I would drive this just the way it is hahaha

  • @saabkyle04 I would totally drive this!! This car so cool!

  • @saabkyle04 I would totally drive this!! This car so cool! I like how the knobs on the dash look like a stovetop controls lol

  • @saabkyle04 i gotta agree with zakyum i wouldnt be caught dead driving this :D But the video and review is nice :)

  • @saabkyle04 me too! you might be spending a fortune on gas though.... lol

  • @zakyum Yo, u kiddin'? Put some 26"s drop in on bags, new paint. Coolest G' on the block. YEEEEAAAA, Lol

  • I didn't know there was a such thing as an inline 8 cylinder!

  • this is a restoration waiting to happen........

  • is there ever going to be a startup of this vehicle?

  • this is what you should do for the rest of the summer, chasing oldies like this one =)

  • can you find Volvo XC90 V8 or any XC90 and XC60

  • @vboiz7 Or an XC70!

  • Another Great Video Thanks Kyle!

  • Very nice car, reminds me of Mafia 2 :-)

    Good review, as always ;-)

  • that might've been cfc i dont know CASH FOR CLUNKERS IS BACK :(

  • @Wizard101nexus No it wasn't but you have to be the biggest moron in the world to trade this in for CFC!

  • @saabkyle04 Cash for clunkers was suppose to help the american companies but the most cars that were bought were the imports. CFC should have been american brands only. It would of helped more. Dont you think so?

  • @Wizard101nexus The CFC program said the car couldnt be more than 25 years old. Awful program though....

  • @SuperSportSS i AGREE dude

  • not bad, i like the seat that comes out of the driver and front passenger seats

  • get a battery and try to fire her up!! someone needs to restore her!

  • the good old days... when chrysler made cars that lasted more than a year... and the transmissions didnt fail... and they were worth money... lol

  • looks like something hitler would drive

  • @TheBavarianFan hitler drove volkswagons.

  • @gajda1984 haha i know that. davidsfarm has a great example

  • @TheBavarianFan and mercedes.

  • kyle does it run

  • @Wizard101nexus Yes it does but I wasn't able to do it
