Brilliant piece of history.I spent the happiest days of my childhood holidaying in Beer during the 1950's.It could have easily been me jumping off the "Grey Goose" with the mackerel on a string.Have lived in New Zealand since 1969 never returned home in all that time rarely get nostalgic but this film did it for me.
@olehead46 I was brought up in Taunton and the family made regular day trips to Beer in the 50's.Like you I remember it just as it is shown in this clip. We moved to NZ in 1977 and by chance are visiting rellies in Somerset this coming Sept. We hope to get down to Beer then and if so I'll upload some video

A very interesting piece of history. Might not mean much to the casual viewer, but a few years after that, I was running around on that beach.
