I was just going thru YOUTUBE pages or whatever after typing in RAS KASS cuz theirs a lot of shit on here that arent on his album or mixtapes or listed on his WIKIPEDIA but it still TIGHT & yeah (lol) I HATE ... I respect your arguments Its not easy for me to say Crooked is better than Ras but after sitting and listening to thier latest stuff I feel that Ras has given up going for the title and he has settled for a more mainstream approach to hip hop. Crooked I has been out just as long as Ras and has consistently improved but I agree he does not have any body of work that can compare to soul on Ice

Crooked I is nice, but he is not on Ras Kass' s level.

When both MC's really put their braincells to work, I think Ras Kass will prove that he is the superior and skilled MC.

I have always felt that when Ras Kass really put his mind to it, he was one of the top MC's I had ever heard, not only on the west coast, but of all time. His potential was really serious. He was lyrically gifted and highly educated.

Unfortunately for him (and many other great MC's), his career coincided with other aspects of hip hop that happened to receive more exposure (see: west coast gangster rap era) which prevented him from having real impact in the mainstream.

i think thats better in a way ever since i heard his sampler tape when it came with the source mag (which i havent subscribed since) i thought and still think he is the illest emcee out there not only is it a educated perspective but his music makes you contemplate more aspects then the normal main stream radio so im glad he didnt go that route or his music would have shaped to feed the radio listeners instead of us real heads..
