  • I miss this band. Bring me back THIS band.

  • "Are you still there?" "Sure" "Ahahahaha!"

  • i like the lakers haha

  • Oh, poor Dave, they won't all bow down to him and play the song he wants to play! His ridiculous ego is probably still bruised from when Sammy murdered him on their tour together. What a f**king baby!

If Eddie wanted to show up, he could have and the same goes for Alex. Velvet Revolver sounded terrible so no matter what song Roth would have done it would have sucked.

Those are the facts and I really don't care if you think it's crap.

  • hey, Abney20.........

Sammy didn't want to do a VH hits album because a hits album would be about nothing but money. Ed gave Sammy crap about his "Unboxed" hits album but in fact Sammy only made "Unboxed" to pay for his divorce and he made not one cent on that.

Sammy and Michael were the only two members to show up at the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame because the brothers and Roth were too buried in pride to put aside the drama and accept the honor like gentlemen, the way Sam and Mike did.

  • i couldn't agree more

  • Uh, no.

David didn't come partially because he knew Sammy would be there, and mostly because he wanted them to play Jump, but Velvet Revolver couldn't play the song. So, Dave didn't come.

Eddie was already in rehab, so he obviously couldn't come. Alex is his brother, so out of respect, he didn't come either.

Get your facts straight before you say that kind of crap.

  • @jksharkbyte also Eddie was going through rehab at the time of RRHOF.

Abney20, Sammy had every right to not want a Greatest Hits record, he was with VH for ~10 years, gave them their first #1 album and song, and with them sold over 16 million records- not as much as the DLR years, but if you look at where the industry was headed post-1985 and where VH was before DLR quit, they wouldn't have had the same success without Sammy. Just look at DLR after his 3rd solo album - everyone forgot about him.

  • I disliked sammy hagar for his comments about the greatest hits album that would come about in 1996.

Who is he to tell the van halen brothers and michael anthony that whatever music they made prior to his joining the band that they couldn't put those hits on a greatest hits album. Complete bullshit!!!!!!

he complained that he wouldn't get money cause it wouldn't be a full album on his part.

but he jumped right on the offer to represent van halen at the RRHF last year!!!!!!

  • Looks like Klaus may have gave Alex a Scorpions hat.

  • WOW!

    Havent seen this in years!

I had it on vhs tape in 1994.

    Thanks 4 posting!

    JB

  • Great! Thanks for posting!!!!!!

  • Im glad youve put this on utube buddy, it proves sammy was tellin the truth about not wantin a greatest hits album, the other guys also agreed, but went back on there word after ed leffler died,

  • Plus, it was Ray Danniels' idea of the Best Of: Volume I.
