  • One of the great dribblers. You don't often see someone ride so many tackles these days.

  • a true legend that i will never forget

  • Unbelievable. What a fantastic player was that. Here are simply no words for. This is more than briljant.

  • what a fantastic player!!!

  • 1:48 - Was that Gordon Strachan getting floored? If so, nice one!

  • The last goal against us, ( Southampton ) was pure class. He would be worth a mint nowadays.

    Whatever happened to him?

How I miss those times. Yes we were facing problems and it was too difficult to survive, but, wathcing N7 on the field...it was something indescribable!

    i cried when he left.

    he was brilliant.

    :) legendary man

  • Better then Elano and Robinho put together,

    GOD

  • player with an incredible technique ,

it was such a joy to watch him on field .

but he had a terrible discipline , and it's his fault , that he fucked up his career .

damn it's so sad that player like him will be soon forgotten :((

anyway we love u kinky , he was goddamn football genius

  • I might get kinko on my next city shirt

  • Kinkladze, David White, Quinn, Rosler, Goater, Dickov, Weaver are all legends in my time

  • georgi kinkladze-fucking magic he's retired now god bless him im a die hard liverpool fan and i remember seeing him for city and thinking why dont we buy him? lol thats another thing he was very loyal

    respect to the little man

  • there wil never be another kinkladze ever there might be a few who are good levan kenia is one to look out for but kinky is a absoulute ledgend

  • been city fan all my life....thats been a few years....most skillful player to ever pull on the shirt...kinky and the goat are what its all about

  • What can I say this guy was awesome.. What would he be worth in todays market.. He was my all time fav player a legend....

  • The little Georgian Giant.

    what a joy...

his name and memory should resonate more imho.

  • i met Gio like 3 times i have a get well soon card off him lolz ... He is still my hero!

  • He had very bad luck after man city he was join ajax where he had a conflickt with coach. lust year he retiared. He is best, he is my favourite

  • he reminds me of messi a bit

  • Where is he and what is he doing now,may i ask?

  • I'm only 12 i dint see much of him iv seen a few things here and there magician...

  • Artist.

He attended Boca Juniors and trained with Maradonna, although he was only a young lad at the time. Apparently he was an excellent dnacer when he was a young lad in Georgia and that is why is balance is so phenomenal, his hips just switch at amzingly quick angles. Pure genius to watch and i maintain that he is the best player i have have seen live for pure adrenaline rush and raw skill and talent.

  • Unfortunately, Kinkladze had TOO MUCH TALENT, and that maybe a curse especially with some coaches. It's tragic that he finished on a low note, but there are so many others like him - the late Mihail Meskhi Jr., and the entire generation of Dynamo Tbilisi of the mid to late eighties. Aptziauri, Baratashvili, Zhvania, Tzaava, etc. Maybe, like most older people I have too many memories. I even remember the striped goalposts at the old Dynamo stadium. Oh, mine!

  • Im 14 and hes my HERO

  • Loved Kinkladze, he was a joy to watch. I'm a Tottenham fan, but love players who can beat a player with skill, not just pace.

Kinkladze, Gascoigne, Sasa Curcic, Ginola all entertaining to watch

  • magic!

  • Used to love watching him on match of the day. Seems like a long time ago now. Brilliant player

  • kvelaze nichieri kartveli pexburteli da rogor dzalit gaipucha tavi. msoplio donis varskvlavi sheedzlo gamxdariko tavisi udzlieresi teknikit da tamashis manerit, magram rad ginda, kvelaperi ckalshi chakara.

  • well said mate (Y)

  • Grysha r u kidding ..? Kinkladze never played in Boca ,he is Georgian ,I loved him he is our best palyerin 90"s . great video -thank you

  • always thought he was at Boca age 17.

  • @ol1966 He was in 1994.

  • Really not:

"He first gained a prodigious reputation as a skilful attacking player with FC Dinamo Tbilisi, before Manchester City FC took him to England in 1995. Kinkladze had previously been singled out for praise by Diego Maradona, during a brief stint at CA Boca Juniors, and Real Madrid CF had also considered signing the 21-year-old and his 'dancing feet', honed as a youngster when his mother had sent him to learn the traditional Georgian ballet, [folk dance!!] "mtiulur". "

    uefa

  • Kinkladze was the player, on which Diego Maradona pointed his finger and said that he was the next Maradona.. But Kinkladze didn't stay in Bocca Juniors, he came back to Man City

  • If only he could play in our current team. He was brilliant, shame things didn't work out for him elsewhere, could have been one of the greats.

  • PLAYED FROM THE HEART.

  • kinkladze is great player, today us georgian have new kinkladze it is LEVAN KENIA, now he is 17 year old and plays shalkes u19. here is few video about him you can look.

  • Sweet. My dad actually knows this guy personally.

  • thats wierd, cos i actually know ur mum personally. hehe

  • nice gag

  • i love him to the max.. he's the best player in man city who dont need the boss to tell him what to do..

  • why did he go to ajax ? he tought that litmanen was away lol

  • AMAZING VID... pause at 3.26 the guy punching the air with the trackie top on is my dad!!! awesome video as well!!!

  • I saw him wiggle his hips on the sideline and the Swindon defender 5 yards behind him fell over, without doubt the greatest player I saw play live.

  • just look at him! look skills he plays like ronaldinho. i am not saying that he was better but!.......

  • legend! shits all over Tranaldo

  • Cheers for this, great memories

  • Prehaps City's best ever player in their worst ever team - awesome!

  • Prachtig, geveldig en nog een keer pretige acties, maar hij is gewoon GEORGIER...

    waaroom????

  • can't argue with that ...

  • Hi

I have a really respect voor you but i anderstude that rassizm and a really professionalizm it is so diferent....why??????

    can you answer me?

  • IF Kinky was fit enough he would still grace the game today. An artist, a genius and it was my pleasure to watch.

  • Great Video ! Blue Moon 4eva !!!!!!!!

  • kinkladze was wonderful footbaler.he was genius

  • I am Georgian. You can imagine how much I love Kinkladze. But I have to admit, Elano is much more efficient player. Kinkladze was an artist not a sportsman :). His skills are simply astounding by their simplicity. He should have danced, but winning games was not his profile. So Manchester City Fans, keep Elano and Petrov. They will kick the hell out of many teams.

  • kinky was great!!! legend just like elano will be for city!!! CTID!

  • Absolute genius - shame about the rest of the team he had to play with

  • ha ha... any team featuring Gary The Crab Flitcroft, Kit Symons and Richard Edghill would have struggled. How Edghill ever became a pro footballer I will never know! That said, Quinn, Rosler, Curle were fairly rated... with all respect, Alan Ball's record speaks for itself.

  • i think Gio was among best ten in City's history

  • Couldn't believe the MEN article today. How anyone could rate him behind Berkovic and Benarbia I've got no idea. Kinky was streets ahead of Elano - would have loved to see them in the same team (and SWP as well)

  • Difficult to compares different eras, I think. Elano & Kinky aren't the exact same kind of player. Kinky was forced to be an individual as he had no-one to pass to. Elano can play the killer pass, and he's a much better shooter. Would be interesting to see if Kinky could fit into today's team.

  • kinki rulezzzzzzzzzzzzz!!!!!!!!!!

  • The best city player ever! Elano ain't got no shit on kinky! GO GIO GO!!!

  • Sorry, mate ... just can't agree with that.

  • What a legend - and he didn;t have Johnson, Petrov et al to support him. What a player

  • mint video. gio gio gio

  • Georgian Genius!!! Bravo Kinkladze!!!

  • Baaaaaa

I think I can date this pretty accurately to the year 11 BE (before Elano)

  • What a player he was for us. Shame he never fullfilled his potential at Ajax.

  • GO GIO!!!

  • KINGKLADZE!

  • gio gio gio!

  • Gio the Georgian Genius, fantastic.

  • Awesome! My favourite City player!
