The File Transfer Application that comes with WebSphere MQ V7 is a very simple file transfer mechanism. It does not provide the features required for a Managed File Transfer solution. For instance, these features are lacking: audit log of transfer activity, directory monitoring, triggering and scheduling, file name pattern matching and manipulation, support for groups of file transfers, execution of pre- and post- transfer activities.

Do you know if there is an option to transfer a file to target directory as well as transfer it to another archive directory at the same time.

I understand that there are some File transfer capabilities that comes by default with Mq7.0 installtion. What are the advantages of FTE over that ?
