All of you idiots arguing about which car should have won are missing an important fact about this video. Both of these drivers suck. A ctr running 15.36? I ran 15.5 in my completely stock 93 ls integra that has over 200k on the original motor. That ctr should have ran mid to low 14's. This race is a joke.

1st They both have the same engine stock, 197 bhp or 201 ps.

2nd In the description it says Civic SI 2007 Custom. Well a custom or tuned car with beat an equivalent car not tuned in a drag race.

3rd This is the Euro Type R which is a 3 door hatch, in Japan the Type R is sold only as a 4 door sedan/saloon with 2.0 220 ps.

@espjuan i dont think this is to show a fair race. this is to show that the two cars are very similar. the type r has different cam shafts but it still isnt good enough to beat a few bolt-ons. im sick of people bitching which one is better. the type r has more pedigree and better cams. the si is wayyyyy prettier and at the end of the day its basically the same shit. the si is a type r with a different badge for a different market.

@WislaKrakow24 You are entitled to your opinion, and at the end of the day these guys are racing and having fun. Now the Civics are different though they may have the same chassis and engine power is even the same along with displacement, but the Euro Civic is built exclusively for Europe and built in the United Kingdom. Fans of the Euro Type R prefer the previous Type R. Here Honda is trying to chase Audi with its marketing, it all depends if you want equipment value or german engineering.

@espjuan well here in america, the si is competing with cars like the cobalt ss, mazda speed3, subaru wrx and a couple others. its the naturally aspirated of the bunch and one of the best if not the best handling. The fact is that the type r is 100 lbs or so lighter then the si and yet the si acheives 0-60 in 6.3 whereas the type r does it in 6.4. both have the same top speed and the si handles better. and i prefered the old type r too. but the 8th gen k20z3 is an amazing engine

I am actually surprised that the hatchback loses here against a sedan, but again it sounded like it had race headers and cat-back exhaust system... an intake is probably likely. also its not too farfetched for the si to have the hondata ecu tune...

im not very familiar with the euro type-r's but i know stock for stock, it's faster than the USDM si.

the turboed volvos are amazing... they'll rip both of these cars apart... but so will a c63 amg... it's not comparable. 0-60 on a vovlo s60 just embarrasses anything from honda, but i think people wanted to see in this video the difference between the type-r (euro spec) and the USDM Si.

@ricksmiths10 the nsx is lighter by a mere 200 lbs. in a straight drag race, the nsx will lose flat out. but ud have to consider the fact that an nsx is made for the track and the volvo is not, which makes volvo's accomplishment thats surprising to many of you. stock, hondas just dont make any cars that can compete with the amg's, m's , or the s's or the rs's for that matter.

Uhm, an NSX cost quite a bit more than an S60. But an NSX wont rape an S60R. I've destroyed NSXs before in my old Volvo which was a 96 850R sportwagon with a K&N filter and the Turbo actuator disconnected. Otherwise...completely stock. The NSX is not known for straight line speed, its known for being extremely well ballanced in the turns.

так же в стоковом si идет блакировка и пара 4,76 а type-r шел в 2008 году без блакировки, а пара 5,06
