  • Look like the Sifu is "chasing the hands" rather than attacking directly to the opponent's centre line.

  • @dragonmist58 Never seen a turning punch in WC?

  • good use of power this sifu looks very tough, and hard. and i like his forward energy, though i feel tense after watching.

  • Thank you, Sifu. I learned a lot from this short clip!

  • I am not a sifu by no means but he does things I was corrected on when I first started. He does not keep one hand high, one hand low (fist away from abdomen) and he poses or freezes after each move.

Depthsofsleep08, you need another sifu if you study that much and cannot handle a brawler. If you can do just the first 4 sets on the dummy you can beat most people. WC was explained to me as just "dirty chinese fighting". Stepping on toes, sweeping, smashing shin to shin, ect. good luck

  • Please bear in mind that this is a demonstration, and moving at full speed without pauses would make it difficult to see what is going on. Also, it may be the case that your style is slightly different to Master Smith's, explaining the different hand positions.

  • Good stuff mate!

  • he looks tuff, very good, muscles aswell, very good, he is better than nayone i have seen in the uk, i mean better than all the masters in the uk. very good stuff, and he look tough. 9/10 good

  • Damn nice job! guys keep it up

  • i've been told completly opposite things by different people tht i jus have to see what works best for me

  • this guy looks deadly, i study wing chun 4 about 4 years now, bout minimum of 6hours a week with my instructor, but practice the forms minimum of 1hr daily, but i wouldnt feel confident in usin it in a fight situation, because the positions are so spot on and ordinary brawlers dont fight to centre line i found tht out the hard way a when i was startin out. but then again i realised my positions cnt have bee acurate i i could get hit, wing chun has alot of speculation about som of its positioning

  • @depthsofsleep08 You need a class where the teacher puts you in headgear, and just lets you loose to try beating each other up using brawling and wing chun and just seeing what works best. Thats the only way you'll learn to deal with a brawler..

  • @kelly980 thts wat we started doin :) good thinkin :D

  • wing tchun is the ultimate system.

but learning wingtchun is like learning the violin, unless you master it you will not be of much use when its time to preform.

in fact a more simple system such as krav maga may be better suited to the masses,

not every one can hold there own with wingchun but those that can are in a class of there own.

  • is paul back in scotland?
