I'm kinda surprised nobody bothers to bring up the anthro/human animal hybrid thing at all sense were discussing the trans-humanism/post humanism thing.

sure robots are neat an all. but what about other stuff? there are other ideas as well.

if you want to get rid of the negative feelings in your life, you would have to get rid of your fears, by understanding them. finding your way of creating your reality and how you perceive it.

for instance, you could love food by appreciating the lovely flavors, or you could hate and dislike food, because, well lets find a reason, cus it takes time or what ever.

u'r the one who choose how you perceive reality, there are infinite ways to how, and one truth. no correct way, only what you love.

life is life, you can look at it as a game, but in games we play to win, you'll never win in life. we're equals and also unique, there is nothing to win in life. well if you absolutely want to perceive it as a game, you can "win" a girl to be in love with and good friends and family that supports u trough the rough times, and have fun with you in the good times, you can be the best in the things you love the most, but in the end, it's what makes you happy that matters the most, at least for me=)

the computer's gonna be as smart as us in the future you say, great! i don't think the computer is going to be able to have feelings tho, so we're not gonna get any revenge like in terminator, nor are we gonna get any love from it, but it will do it's task, and that's just great, exactly what we need!

IF a computer is ever going to have real feelings, someone has to voluntary jump in after you have left your current body :) not gonna be me! i prefer flesh and bone, at least for now :)

transhuman really just means transition human. what your talking about is post humans which are not biological at all and are 100% mechancial. and according to moore's law technology we'll be moving at a rate so fast compared to where we are at now that there is no way we can predict what will happen 20 or even 10 years from now.

goliaths emerge from the singularity. They could dominate us (as we dominate dogs and sheep) by simple virtue that they are smarter. They can kick us out of positions of power and influence, and replace us there. Simple overcompetition.

I think that the term transhumanism is unnecessary. The term transhumanism gives certain people the tools to be against whatever is meant by that term. It divides us.

I wonder who invented that term and for what reason!
