@baglama7 - The lyrics were only used in the Herb Alpert Tijuana Brass version.
They're on the Metrolyrics website. I can't post the link here, because YouTube doesn't allow it, but if you Google "A Walk Through the Black Forest lyrics", you'll find it.
I love how Dave Thomas always did the voice-overs for the record promotions on SCTV. He sounds just like those obnoxious dorks that used to do the K-Tel commercials back in the 70's.
oh ok. chal, have you found the entire rick as george carlin bit when he was performing in concert? the bit was only like 1 minute or so,but he talked about beets,as well as a couple of other things.
@onlyrock1 For the ultimate check, look up the sketch on the SCTV Guide; it goes to Moranis. And I did check out Burton's voice; it is Moranis. Sorry.
YAY! What a Christmas (or should I say, Boxing Day? ;) present! You know, they'll pull this right off again, they always do, but for now, I'll enjoy. THANKS SO MUCH!
For you and "alphabeets", and Happy Boxing Day! LOL. And I wouldn't worry. All the SCTV's have been up for months now, so let's keep our fingers crossed! Franny
As I think Gord is almost beyond parody, it's great to hear Rick's version of songs that sound exactly like they were recorded by Gord.

Moranis has a killer voice, totally nails Lightfoot. He could probably do a pretty good Elvis Costello too.
