Great costume! Just fantastic! I love your statement about feeling free to do our own interpretations. For next year's Halloween, I'm planning on dressing as my own interpretation of the Phantom in which he wears an ALL black tuxedo with a full-face white mask and long wig.

how long is the tail coat suposed to be i found the full jacket set but I want to be presise.

Ideally the tails should end at the back of the knee, not above or below.

Oh you have NO idea! Of course I'm still working on a second one, so the self pity party is in full swing. But it'll be over sometime soon. Might do a little video on it shortly to give everyone a look at what the construction is like. :)

I bet sewing in all of the hair is REALLY tedious and annoying at times.

on one side he is because he's a scheming plotting genius hellbent on having his prodigy become famous and will happily hang anyone who gets in his way ; on the other hand he's a rejected lonely outcast with no experience of love or compassion.

I personaly like the las vegas. one because the vest isnt that open, the buttons are coverd with cloth, and its thicker. I cant really explain it it has certant gold pieces on the vest, but it has details on them its just uniqely diferent from others.

I have many pictures of the Las Vegas suits. I actually dislike them for those very reasons. I prefer the older, more classic look with a lower, U shaped cut on the waistcoat and more tailored appearance to the tailcoat. It's obvious productions have strayed from Maria Bjornson's original designs. It's a shame, in my opinion.

Btw, thank you for providing this information about Phantom Costume pieces, etc, Lindsey. I have been TRYING to find a decent Phantom cape {one that is not quite so flimsy and transparent}; though I ALMOST got one from Ebay earlier this year. (Bloody Seller cheated me out of my money; ARGH!!!!).  In any case, this is all interesting - and useful - information. Thank you.

That's an interesting point that you've made, ChristyDaae and Lindsey. I too have noticed that my mannerisms are a little more serious when I am dressed in my Phantom Costume. It was a realisation made when I saw a movie clip that my friend and I did when she was visiting recently {with a video camera}. I'll probably post that clip on YouTube later on. Take care.
