  • 2:50 shortcut to BEE SAVATIN BAWWWLLLLMBA

  • I bought this for the game cube at Fye in 2008. I was requesting that you do activision anthology for game boy advanced. This has cool attari 2600 games including winter games.

  • Enough of the song already!! Aaaaaaaarrrgh!!!!

What is doing to my mind???!!!1111??

  • 6:47 he sais "a little hore!"

  • I have this for the Xbox and the gameplay still confuses the fuck out of me. There's a handful of games I could ever figure out how to do and I did terribly at THOSE games. lol

  • Play me out keyboard swan!

  • I had 1game 4 mine donkey kong

  • Does the real Intellivison you have work at all?

  • Comment removed

  • 0:48 i hated the music. i found it sad. thats one of the reasons i threw this game away. i didnt even think to sell it. i just threw it in the garbage. lol

  • @TheEgg185 I would have bought that, depending on the price!!!

  • i got this from e.b games a few years ago. i think. but still, i was like OMGNOSTALGIAGASM

  • God I rememer the Intellivision.

Loved Lock and Chase, but I have to admit I hated the controllers.

  • I just got this game at gamestop for $1.35. That is less than 3 cents a game!

  • @gdog662 lucky. i got it for 1.60 at gamestop.

  • 7:46 sound like nyan cat lol

  • Just got a On-Live ad. Magical cloud fairies!!

  • OH YEAH!!!The B-Sevanteenh Bawmber!!

  • This review, as well as all of your other reviews for older games, got me to check this out. That and the fact that nobody appreciates old games just for the fact that they're old and I think they're really missing out on a different kind of experience. Having been born in 1991 I might not have grown up with games from the 80's, but I did start playing with the SNES and people nowadays really don't play anything but the latest shooters on the 360/PS3

  • I can see why the video games market crashed in 80s

  • i bought for 2 bucks for the gamecube

  • 2:51 for a second I thought this was a music video.

  • I prefer the 2600 over the Intellivision, but that is partly because I like the simple, easy-to-learn 2600 controls over the Intellvision's rather painful-to-use controller. But the system does have lots of charm, and it's a shame Lock'n'Chase isn't on the compilation, it's an excellent port on the system!

  • If you have an Intellivision why don't you review the games? When you say the Intellivision does not work very well t Do you mean it does not function or is hard to play because you are not used to the controllers?

  • @dallase1 faggot stfu he said he was gonna buy another 1 smart asss and hes reviewing this game not intelevission games asshole

  • @die239

Who the fuck shoved a pole up your ass!! I said nothing wrong.

  • not thompson twins... ABC!

  • ok, soo 5 mins to get ready + 30 mins to ride bike to town + 2 mins to lock up bike + 2 mins to walk to mt games + 1 min to take game to counter + 10 secs to give money to lady + 32 seconds for her to ring it up = 40mins 42 seconds. I CANT WAIT THAT LONG!!!!!!!!

  • BEEEEEE SEVENTEEEEN BAWWWWWWWMER

  • That organ... Its playing the Scott Joplin theme used in Domino man! Anybody else notice that?

  • 0:01 Skip The Ads

  • I have the GameCube version for my Wii, a decent lot of the games work nicely with an NES RetroPort and an NES Advantage for the controller

  • @evenmorebetter you should send mark that converotr

  • @uwright22 RETROZONE should send Mark that convertor and get additional PR

  • I love my Intellivison :)

  • The "Intellivision Lives!" opening music sounds like a poor man's Pet Shop Boys.

  • Thunder Castle was my favorite InTV game.

  • I got my Intellivision at Goodwill for like $5. It works, but the controllers were kind of crappy... so I fixed them. I have a video how to fix an intellvision controller on my channel.

I have this collection as well. I got it fairly recently for like $5.

  • PET SHOP BOYS

  • he says fuck at 3:51

  • This game is awesome. My dad had an intellivision when he was a kid.

  • ROFL @ 6:57-7:04!

I wish new consoles went that crazy when you won something or did something right. These days all you get is a trophy or an achievement. Why would I want that when I could have my PS3 start beeping like nuts and changing the screen all different colors? At least it would be a lot funnier. :D

  • BEEEE SHEVUNTEENE BAUWMUR

  • Please get a better working Intellivision and review it, the controller and its best games Mark!! Trust me, you won't regret it.

  • from what i know , and i see , atari 2600 was more popular because of its games , not because the hardware ... intellivision was more powerful but the games were not so exciting .... mark, am i right?

  • @Blockygraphics The wierd thing is Jay Z has been in the Famous for almost 20 years.

  • Thunder Castle, all the fuckin' way!

  • I have this game (actuallly it is more of a collection) I like the unreleased games.

  • @Blockygraphics looking at this I see your point. There may be some sort of retro revivial of the 00's at some point but it would be nowhere near as big as the 80's- early 90's revival.

  • In the next 1-20 years or s0 you'll find 30 PS3 games on one holographic card which will play on your Playstation 6, so you can re-live the age of the 12-year old MW2 player.

  • @Blockygraphics I looked up consoles on eBay and Amazon and most were around 50, 70, and 100 dollars. Yeah the common games are pretty darn cheap but there's expensive shipping, and 2 dollars is cartridge only, new is about 15. But it's the rare games that piss me off, I could simply NOT FIND Pac-Man or Thin Ice, at all! What site has a working Intellivision for 20 bucks? And do you know where I could find Pac Man and Thin Ice?

  • awesomem, is the only way to rememberme avgn by ps2

  • Please review the Intellivison and its controllers! :) I'm going to get it one of these days, as long as it's 150$ or less.

  • @Blockygraphics Except for S&S which I haven't really played the others are good. Still have the system and pull it out a couple times a year. Have the PS2 release that I pop in from time to time.

  • The song kind of sounds like Still Alive from Portal.

  • Even though I was an Atari kid back in the the day I knew several people who had the Intellivision. My favorite games were Space Battle, Night Stalker, and Baseball (when someone else was available to play).

  • HUZZAH! He found the carousel! More mind-numbing, Atari age, boringness! Great vid anyways, love watching the retro game reviews!

  • How do you save scores in this game, because I cant save my scores.

  • Would have been nice for you to highlight a few of the other games on the disc. People not familiar with the INTV might get the impression that the Carousel game is one of the mainstays of the system rather than an after thought. Space Battle. Astrosmash.

But to be fair, you are not that familiar with the system. So you wouldn't have an extensive knowledge of it's library.

  • @gtmodelt How about Utopia, wasn't that the first console strategy game? Astrosmash was awesome for it's time. Intellivision had better games than Atari but the controllers were the ugliest most non responsive crap ever made.

  • @kdixon7783c

Probably if you don't count checkers et al.

  • @gtmodelt I meant strategy video game , of course. lol

  • @kdixon7783c Then you would be correct. But there was strategy in Battle tanks. lol.

  • @gtmodelt I've just checked it out on Wikipedia and it is listed as the first ever RTS. A game called Legionnaire on the Atari was made the same year. Battle tanks was a cool game.

  • @kdixon7783c My favorites in no particular order

    Night Stalker

    Lock N Chase

    Super Pro Golf

    D&D

    Tron Deadly Discs

    Space Battle

  • oh man! my childhood comes flooding back!

  • BEEEE SEVANTEEEN BAWMER

  • The crowd sound reminds me of the Baseball game, also for Intellivision, played that for many hours back in the day :)

I was lucky enough to have an original one, then, when it died (as they did) got an intv series III... Would love to see one of your reviews for Advanced D&D!

  • That looks terrible.

  • Finally, Night Stalker for Xbox Live Arcade! Buy it!

  • WHY HAS NO ONE MADE A SEGA MASTER COLLECTION YET!?!?!?! I would design the menus for it, as well as the music, and it would be amazing!!!!

  • dance swan dance!

  • lol the intellivision song reminds me of portal's Still Alive

  • i just bought this from Play N Trade today for like 5 bucks. it's awesome.

  • the cheering at 7:00 sounds like the sound the fans make when you hit a home run in R.B.I. Baseball for Nintendo

  • They just couldn't resist the B-17 Bomber :DD

  • That piano is a game in itself!

  • A lovely compilation that has some quality titles and fun presentation. I prefer the Midway Arcade Treasures games personally, but anyone who misses their Intellivision will be very happy with Intellivision Lives!

  • also on the gamecube (play on the wii) or xbox original (not sure works w/360)

  • the intellivision was the first 16-bit videogame console it had 240 × 8-bit Scratchpad Memory 352 × 16-bit System Memory and 512 × 8-bit Graphics RAM

  • that music is awesome

  • that song was so beutiful

  • That tune the piano plays is Maple Leaf Rag by the way.

    It's just awesome.

  • Holy crud lol, that's a creepy song!

  • The makers of the Intellivision song either had a very unique sense of humor or were clinically insane.

But I agree Magic Carousel has some rockin tunes.

  • Can I get this on Wii or Saturn? I havent seen any reviews of the Magic Roundabout but it looks great with all those colours and the robot voice just like in Bezerk

  • lol the fuck you atari you killed me song.

  • there making an intellivision lives for the ds with the keypad on the touch screen expected in spring 2010

  • SWEET! ill be sure to grab a copy thanks

  • The glaring omissions from this game are Atlantis and the Tron games! Why were they not included!

  • I heard that the Intellivision had a 11 year life. The longest life of any game system. Because of the Intv company that bought it after mattel quit it in 1983.

  • They should make this same kind of thing, but for the Colecovision.

  • I. Love. That. Song.

  • Sure, the game might help you tell the difference between animals, but its biggest contributation to mankind is forcing kids to understand WTF the game is saying! I blah blah balh SWAN blah blah.

  • i need to play magic carousel!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Lol i got this game ages ago and its so AWESOME!!! Shame some of the games are a bit crappy....

  • 5 stars just for Magic Carousel =D

  • nice he got the intellivision!!

  • Magic Carousel looks so damn fun!

  • that song is EPIC! lol awesome!

  • FUCK this is a good review....

  • WTF with the Intellivision song playing at the menu? Is that for real?

  • @ioport - YES, IT'S FOR REAL!!! I WANT MY INTELLIVISION!!!

  • @ioport for reals :)

  • @ioport Yep.

  • Also, the piano song is awesome. It should be on iTunes!

  • @gp75motorsports It more than likely is on iTunes. Just look up Scott Joplin, or Maple Leaf Rag.

  • I swear to God I could watch that swan dance to the piano all day.

  • Never seen "Shark! Shark!" when it originally came out, but I'm familiar with the concept as it plays similar to "Feeding Frenzy" for the PC.

  • it's the BAWMER

  • they released night stalker on 2600 it was called dark cavern

  • beee seventeeen boooombeeeer.

  • You can kill the shark by hitting its tail. I love that game so much.

  • GET ACTIVISION ANTHOLOGY!!!

  • at thend epic lolz :D

  • It sounds like weird al singing the song..haha

Ps i like how you said "the mighty vectrex"

You sure love your vectrex mark.

    Great review as always. =P

  • I have this game! :)

  • i really want my.. vec-trex.. that doesn't work

  • LOL!

  • I have the Intellivision Intellivoice add on, but lost the Intellivision itself D:

  • Intellivision is my favorite early '80's video game system, I have Atari 2600, Colecovision, and odyssey2, but my heart lies with my Intellivision. Intellivision was way ahead of its time.

  • bin total aufgedreht und ungezogen heute wer will mit mir camen

  • my favourite game on the collection is SNAFU. BEST GAME EVER!!!

  • HELLO! PLAY THE PIANO!

    *swan plays piano and dances*

  • I think that's a giraffe...

  • was this released in europe? o.ö

  • BEEE17- BOOOMBEEERR when I here that all I think of is the AVGN funny episode.

  • Great review! Nice collection of older games!

  • 3:52 sounded like the F word. XD

  • b17 - BOMBER!!!

  • Fuckin trippy man. I dig

  • I had no idea something like this excisted! That's pretty epic :D I have to get around to buy it sometime!

  • As you can see this emulation pack is working in hi-res graphics (those menu addons) - and this means this pack is not running in original progressive low resolution.. again screwed up graphics.... go for real thing or build yourself custom emulation machine...

  • this game pisses me off and i have no idea why

  • SRSLY ?

  • Which song did you use for your intros?

  • Haha!

  • it would be cool if you started to do intellivision reveiws! (once you get a better one)

Also, what happon to the VETrax!?

  • hahahahhahahaha

  • That is a really cool song. I cant believe they got a real voice on a video game back then, crazy.

  • man i wish mine hadent broke

  • I had this for XBox. God I miss that game.

  • That Shark, Shark game is the easiest game ever

  • I laughed so hard at the suicidal singer who got a bit to attached to her intellivision.

  • I got it for 2.00$

  • Oh Dear.. This just shows the power of Time!

  • LOL at the Intellivision song, that's freakin' awesome!! I'd get this for Astrosmash and Buzz Bombers alone!

  • That actually kind of scared me (the Magic Carousel game)...

  • that voice is sum creepy shit

  • BEEE SVENTEEN BOOOMBER!!!

  • lalws

  • LMFAO THAT WAS FUNNY AS...

  • Stop 'n' swop

  • ohmygodyesthepianoplaysmaplerag

Any Willliams enthusiasts out there will remember it as the theme to Domino Man.

  • i never knew intellivision rhymed with so much stuff!!!!

  • im tempted to get this game cos i found it for 1 penny

  • One penny?

Fuck, I wouldn't think twice if I was offered a PS2 game for pocket change.

  • but its on amazon and its my mums credit card and there postage

  • Great game. Some cool shit on here. The interviews with the hardware developers and software programmers were great. (David Rolfe's was the best.)

But.. one thing I dislke is forced nostalgia. That "I miss my intellivision" song is gay. I had an intellivision, but it was just ok, nothing amazing.

It was kind of just there. The original pc xt games were better, and the original 8 bit nes games were even better.

  • david rolfe? any relation to james rolfe? aka the angry video game nerd.

  • Damn.. that carousel sure are scary game, freaky flashing lights blinking and you're console commands you what to do with robotic voice, surly don't want it get angry.))

  • lol just to make the song rhyme... lmao..

  • that song is fucked up xD

  • I have the original Intellvision and the Intellivision 2. Love the console! I have the PS2 game too... I love the old video games! Really enjoy your videos....

  • ROFLMAO @ the song, wow......

  • hahaha, that song lol xD

  • I wonder if the character in the Night Stalker is Richard Ramirez?

  • wow that singer really misses the intellivision

  • music is nice ;)

  • lololol at the song

  • WHAT

  • That song is amazing!

  • i really miss my intellavison

  • all CGR's reviews used to be 5 star all the time! who are the bastards marking it down!?!?
