Energizer rechargeable was the second flashlight to go off, so how is it the winner? The Energizer Max alkaline was the last flashlight to go off. Considering that you were using the Energizer Max why did you not compare this against the Duracell Ultra?
I'd be interested to see this test redone using the same flashlight for each battery. During my various searches, Rayovac seems to be slightly ahead or slightly behind duracell/energizer.
worst test ever nothing can be fully charged it will be 80% the battery on the right dint have a equil amount of power duh evan i know this and im 11 by anothere pack of batterys the one on the right
Nice work. But why did you do all this work and test Duracell's cheapest battery? I have used the Duracell 3M or Ultimate -- the one with a blue band, and that cost 20% more -- since they won flat out in a cold temperature test three years ago. -- It is the test of the Duracell with the blue band vs Energizer that would be interesting.
I like rayovac rechargeable ] i had them~12yrs &still holds a small usable charge] energizer was the strongest starting out, about a 1hr or so ,but they didn't last`~3yrs]same w/ duracell] i trashed alot of duracell&all energizer batt.] i probably wont buy them anymore only rayovac ,but i may try those die hard aa ,since they supposed to make top of line car batt
-Xlnt. Consumer-test; --best price on Energizer (disposable) in all sizes is i believe- HomeDepot (-AA's about 0.75-cents each) -Oct./2011; --was disappointed by famous century-old American RayOVac which states on the carton- "lasts as long as Energizer"! In 1950's Burgess & EverReady were also hot Zink-drycell competitors, but all of these (mostly D-cells) would last mere minutes, --and if you were trying to change a car-tire for example, it was a race to get it done before 'lights out'..!!!
If your only comparing which battery lasts the longest then yes Energizer would be the winner but if you are wanting to save money and don't care that you would have to switch out batteries sooner then Rayovac would be the winner. Personally I think cost per minute matters most
Are you sure the bulbs have the same current draw? (likely they don't).. How long and under what conditions were these cells stored before you purchased them? (Cells self discharge in storage, worse if its hot & humid).. thanks for posting!
In the looong term you save money using rayovac in the disposable category, but you have to change them more often than duracell and energizer, that also is not an advantage for the user or the environment; disposable batteries contaminate a lot!
In the disposable ones Rayovac is more efficient per dollar paid! If you want to power up a thousand of those lights for one hour, it would cost you: 1000*.0046*60=276 dollars with rayovac.
With energizer: 1000*.0048*60=288 , you save 12 dollars with rayovac in this example.
Umm, the real winner here are the Energizer RECHARGEABLES! They lasted almost as long as the Duracells and the Energizer Alkalines, and they can be reused, people! The other ones are dead forever! Duh!
THe rayovacs will provide more energy per $. The only reason to buy the energizer is for missiion ciritcal equipment where the battery needs to last as long as possible WITHOUT being changed.
Energizer and Duracell both are very good. I think that duracell u used was copper top which is regular. I think that the energizer u used was energizer max. I think it should have been duracell ultra that should have been used. Energizer vs duracell copper top(both regular). Duracell ultra vs Energizer max. Both batteries are good though.
@baggedyman Well, I live in a diffrent country Ireland. No america or England and there is much cheaper batterys and longer lasting batterys down here, So i might pick Life.
will depend on your energizer nimh, cause sometime they lose energy while being touch on the sprin, even if it turn off, but good video then were they fully charge now,my favorite is energizer
i use panasonic evolta batteries
longer lasting than energizer or duracell or rayovac

So we could conclude with this experiment that the winners for environmental care would be:
1st Energizer Rechargable
2nd Energizer Disposable
3rd Duracell Disposable
4th Rayovac Disposable

My theory
Winner: Duracell,
2nd Energiser
3rd Rayovac
4th Rechargables
hhm i guess I was wrong. Suprrised that the rechargables lasted as long as they did.

@MegaDen1000 Well Rayovac is the cheapest for operation. But Energizer lasts longer. So it depends on your needs. Do you want cheapness or life.

Actually if you look on the sidebar there are other flashlight tests with what looks like C or D batteries. Rayovac did better on those trials.
