  • Great mix...classic.

  • the version of the song plis

  • Top 5 Players To Never Make It To The NBA

    5. Karlton Hines

    4. Ben Wilson

    3. Hank Gathers

    2. Len Bias

    1. Earl "THE GOAT" Manigault

  • wow! he had some serious hops and some incredibly powerful dunks for such a slender build.

  • so how did he die?

  • @SlothDodger96 overdose on crack, two days after he got drafted by the celtics.

  • He was awesome and he would've been even better if he had lived long enough to be in the NBA.

  • I like the Edward Scissorhands soundtrack

  • I know that the first song of the video is "A-Kon - Operations of Nature"

    but this is another version

Does somebody know which is the name (or the link) of that?

  • @bazk i cant find that version

  • @bazk Might have been his own remixed version.

  • what song is that playin

  • Damn why did he have to get caught up like that!! He was handsome and talented!!

  • @Airyeeeeezzzy13 He tarnished his own name by the way he died. Nobody else has to do it. The fact of the matter is, Bias was a criminal. He knew better, but still did the imbecilic, evil action. I have never broken the law. I've never sped. I never said that I never drove under the speed limit you imbecile. Unlike driving over the speed limit, driving under it is only an offense if it is directly hazardous do to so. ALL criminals are brainless pieces of sh**.

  • @gamelvr1 To keep on arguing with you is like arguing with someone who doesn't understand English. I could speak until I was hoarse and you would not understand a word I just said. Being evil and breaking the law are not things that go hand in hand. Yes evil people have committed crimes, but decent people have committed crimes as well. To say that all criminals are evil is very ignorant and to be frank, fucking retarded. You think you are so above everyone with what you are saying, but in the

  • @Airyeeeeezzzy13 I never once said that I was above everyone else. I sure as heck am a better person then all criminals. Yes, evil and breaking the law DO go hand in hand. While not all laws are on the same level, the worse the crime, the more evil the person is. Bias was a brainless piece of sh**. He could have had a long successful career in the pros. Instead, he threw it all away. He wouldn't have died then if he had any f***ing brains and/or and any morals.

  • @gamelvr1 Hitler also used to say he was better than people. Who are you to say that?

  • @gamelvr1 end you come off as ignorant and hateful

  • Bias played the same position as Larry Bird, and him playing would have decreased Bird`s minutes thus prolonging his career.

  • You know who also wore #34 and was also a GREAT athlete with a short rain is certain sports??? Bo Jackson with Baseball and football. Bias and him are both (or were both) INCREDIBLE athletes.

  • this is what they should show in school anti-drug programs. Dude had so much promise but through it all away because of drugs.

  • it was the michel jordan curse if bias woda gone to the celts then he woulda gave jordan a run for the title and bird and mchale and bias wouda privailed it wasent meant to be and coulda shoulda woulda but did not do it i respect cocaine is a hell of a drug and what he did that night after the pick was wrong but it was hes fult i love len bias

  • @ipod2304 hahaha. Cocaines a hell of a drug, huh? Were'd you hear than? The David Shappelle show? Great show.

  • His fuckin' cocaine destroyed him and the Celtics!!

  • yes, what's the name of the first song?

  • @enfasi1

it's not exactly the same version

    Akon- Operations of nature

  • Len Bias is the Greatest College Player ever, bar none!!!

  • I'm pretty sure he would have been a phenomenal pro. His story is so sad, so tragic. R.I.P Len Bias

  • what the name of the first song that played?

  • People seriously need to leave this guy out of the bust discussion. He would be considered a bust only if he lived and ended up sucking in the league, but we never got to see him play pro ball so we'd never know.

  • biggest BUST in NBA history right here.

  • @YouGotJEWD

He died! What kind of sick person applies a label like "bust" after someone dies?

  • @Ginga When the person dies because of his own stupidity shortly after being drafted it was a bust. Just like players who throw away their promising careers for one reason or another, the retard threw away his life

  • @gamelvr1

Instead of preaching online, why don't you spread you insensitive bigotry somewhere else, you fucking asshole? The man is dead. You calling him, retard, criminal, moron and evil is just classless.

  • @Ginga Maybe what I'm saying is a small form of bigotry. The difference is that unlike most forms, it's actually deserved. It's for things that people willingly did, not over issues of race, age, sex, etc...The man may be dead, but that doesn't remove those labels from him. All of them were true. If a rapist dies, do you stop calling him evil or a rapist. Or the recent death of Bin Laden is another fine example. He was a criminal. As such, he deserves no respect, in life or in death.

  • @gamelvr1

You're entitled to your bigotry but not everyone sees the world the way you do. Personally, I question Bias' decision to do hard drugs after he was drafted but I'd never call him a "criminal" or "evil" for that.

  • @Ginga You may not choose to call him those things. The fat of the matter is, he was those things.

  • @gamelvr1

    Those are your OPINIONS, jackass.

  • @Ginga Evil may be a subjective term, but criminal is not. By definition, if a person breaks the law, they are a criminal. No intelligent person could think otherwise. That is a cold hard fact. If you break the law, by definition you are a criminal. Bias broke the law, he was a criminal

  • @gamelvr1 No. You are one who is delusional. To say all the things that you said after this talented person died way before his time is atrocious. Just because he experimented with drugs gives you no right judge him and to tarnish his name after his death. LIke you have never broken the law before and to say that you never went above or below the speed level is bullshit plain and simple. All this rationalizing that you did after you made a stupid comment just sheds more light on how you cant

  • @Airyeeeeezzzy13 No criminal ever deserves a shred of respect. The retard caused his own death by his nefarious, moronic actions. A criminal who causes there own death by the crime they committed deserves no respect. Just like drunk drivers who wind up killing themselves because of their evil, brainless actions

  • @gamelvr1 admit that you are wrong and misspoke. This kid was not evil. A rapist is someone that is evil. This kid was just caught up with the wrong crowd and made a bad decision in his life. Who are we to judge someone like that? You just grow up and realize that everyone has their flaws. Damn. Some people can be fucking assholes. You are my example.

  • @Airyeeeeezzzy13 While a rapist would be more evil, it doesn't negate bias being evil. If you break the the law, you are evil scum. He had talent on the court, but as a person, he was scum.

  • @gamelvr1 That is complete nonsense. Just because he dabbled in drugs does not make in evil scum. What determines whether or not a person is evil is a person's ethical sense of right and wrong as well as his character and the way that he treats the people around him. In no way shape or form is this man evil. He broke the law and did drugs. That is his choice and no one should judge him for what he put in his body. Yes, he made a bad decision which led to his tragic demise, but that doesnt

  • @Airyeeeeezzzy13 ALL criminals are evil. No good person would ever commit a crime. Worse the crime, the more evil the person is. ANY and ALL illegal drug users are are brainless scum. No intelligent or decent person would ever consider doing such acts, much less follow through

  • @gamelvr1 make him a bad person. To put breaking the law and being evil hand in hand is very ignorant, but again people are entitled to their own opinion be it if it makes no sense.

  • @Airyeeeeezzzy13 Breaking the law does make him a bad person. Had the man lived, he should have been thrown in jail for a few years. As should ALL illegal drug users. No criminal should ever get off without paying for their crimes. The truly ignorant people on this planet are the educated individuals who know better, but still do idiotic, evil acts. No illegal act is ever justifiable.

  • @gamelvr1 This message is brought to you by the PC Police

  • grevis vasquez took this guys place..but grevis aint gunna go out and do cocaine

  • @firedril101

    Vasquez didn't take his place.

  • @firedril101 Vasquez wasn't in Bias's league. He was a good player, but not even close.

  • @ soicee52 the song is operations of nature - akon

  • ya what is tht song

  • whats the song at the begining?

  • he would be one of the Boston legend....

  • Such a great talent lost because of drugs.

  • my best friend is related to him, his name is demetrius anderson, just in case he makes it big yall remember that name

  • If Len and the guys in that room knew that this drug could kill them, then I believe that Len would not have did as much if any at all. They were celebrating and it got out of control once they started feeling Bias' head with you better than Jordan, you playing with Bird, and you will be going up against the LA Lakers in the finals. Sad, Sad story.

  • I think the death of John Belushi was when people really learned the true dangers of Coke. By 1986 the dangers were well known. Five years earlier would have been a different story. This did shed it even more to light though, yes.

He died the year before I was born. Living in New England my whole life, I never got to see him play.

I was 6 years old when Reggie Lewis collapsed on the court. I will never forget it.

  • @TRJ22487 true coke was known but len bias did crack cocaine and in 1986 many people were not educated on aids and crack cocaine one of the many reasons why they spread like wildfire plus belushi was a drug addict.len bias never did drugs till he felt invincible going into the pros he was also stated that he might have had an allergic reaction to cocaine which is fatal.

  • does anyone knw if he taken drugs before his overdose?

  • @joncuest95 no his first time he died say no to drugs y'all

  • Cardiac dysrhythmia from a heavy dose of cocaine. It's a damn shame really.

  • Im sorry, but this is sad, but in reality the man made a decision to take an illegal substance and od'd on that shit. If this was the life he was to lead in the NBA I can't say he would have been one of the greatest ever. He made a choice that not only ruined his career, but took his life. I can't really feel that sorry for the boy.

  • @Hauler24

you obviously dont know nothing about basketball sp why dont yoy shut the fak up u fakinf dummy Len was better yhan MJ and it was thought to ne the best player in the sport yhis was a MAJOR tragedy in sport .Noody is inetersted in your opinion u faking twat

  • @hehno1 What are you talking about you illiterate mofo. Listen I said that if he hadn't overdosed two days after the draft I don't know how great he would have been. The man was friendly with shady characters who ran a drug ring. Red flags right there. Not my fault he made a choice that fucked up his life and ended in tragedy. Although I can't say it is tragic because the man made a choice to get so out of control with coke. Not my problem and I won't feel sorry for him.

  • @Hauler24

wtf man i was writing in the dark coz my life was asleep illiterate D)

  • @Hauler24

    wife i mean damm light

  • @Hauler24 Oh, so because he happened to take an "illegal" substance that means you don't feel sorry for him. We simply didn't know the dangers of cocaine in 1986 that we do today. In fact, the death of Bias was what changed the whole perception of cocaine. Before that, it was viewed as a recreational drug and after that was when our Government started the war on drugs and went after pablo escobar. The fact that you can't feel sorry for a kid who made a mistake shows that you are an asshole.

  • @bull864 The man was a criminal who died because of his stupidity. Like hauler24, I don't feel the least bit sorry for him. If he had any brains or decency, he wouldn't have died. No decent or intelligent person would ever commit a crime

  • @gamelvr1 That may be the dumbest post I've read. No decent or intelligent person would ever commit a crime? So, does someone that speeds deserve to die? What about public intoxication? If you are too stupid to understand my previous posts, then i can't help you.

  • @bull864 I never said that committing a crime means they deserve to die. The point was, Bias died solely because of the decisions he made. Those decisions involved performing an action that no intelligent person or decent person would ever do. The worse the crime committed, the more horrible culprit is. Regardless, if you break the law, you are moron, and evil. A smart and good person obeys the speed limits. Failing to do so endangers their lives and others

  • @bull864 Likewise anyone who is guilty of public intoxication are evil morons. The intelligent and right thing to do is put yourself in the position where that would never happen. ALL criminals are brainless scum

  • @gamelvr1 You're obviously kidding. No person with one iota of intelligence would say such idiotic things. So, if you're driving down the road going 46 in a 45, remember this conversation.

  • @bull864 I've never have gone above the speed limit, nor will I ever. I'm not kidding. Anyone and everyone who breaks the law are evil morons

  • @gamelvr1 What a fuckwit you are. Sad loner i suspect. I hope a group of evil morons kick the living fuck out of you.

  • this is sad the boy was nice

  • Holly crap!!!

I didn't even know about him...

Maybe he would be the only one he could match up against MJ in the NBA...

    Great player, big talent!

    Is Durant similar player?

  • Len "AIR" Bias you earned it

  • whats the first song?

  • @DESTROYER230 the first song is operation of nature by akon. his first song :)

  • in response to flipper79able...i dont think he died from a coke overdose..i heard he smoked one crack rock and died..the really potent 80's crack from the early days...but still i think he would have been great..sad story..r.i.p. len bias.

  • I almost thought I was looking at MJ

  • WHY WHY WHY.......so much talent.....how much coke could he have done? You have to do a lot of coke to die from it. It doesn't make sense. I miss him.

  • The death of Len Bias to me was like the death of Elvis to some. Ever since that day I have been afraid to love sports as much as I did when I followed my Terps and the only athlete I have ever idolized, Len Bias. RIP

  • Makes you wonder, "why do the good people have to die?"

  • As a Celtic fan I just think what could have been. Same goes for my all time fav Celtic Reggie Lewis...shame :(

  • great tribute clip, very well put together!

  • so sad he was so good for the terps really sad

  • I was a senior in high school the same year Bias was a senior at Maryland. Me and my Dad used to watch all the regional ACC games on Raycom Sports. We weren't really Maryland fans, but we were huge Bias fans and loved watching him play. I'll never forget the game where he basically beat Carolina by himself in the Dean Dome. Incredible! If anyone has never seen that game, do yourself a favor and check it out. you'll see what a truly great player he was. Virtually unstoppable inside or out.

  • what a waste of talent.

  • how tall was len?

  • 6'9

  • thanks man i watched the 30 for 30 about him but i didnt ever hear them say how tall he was. Him and Lebron played similar.

  • no problem yeah he sorta reminds me of len .....guys like bias hardly come around miss him r.i.p

  • Man this is really sad watching this....drugs are all evil, they have taken away some of the most amazing people in the world....LB R.I.P. 24 years later R.I.P.

  • RIP Young Legend !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • make one bout hank gathers

  • gone too soon

  • shittttttttttttttttttt!!!!!

    why???? dead????

    if, if,

Len Bias vs MJ~~ in NBA

    how wonderful it should be!?!?

but Lebron James will be more like LB~

    inside, outside, 3points

  • I hate basketball. I think its probably one of the worst professional sports in north america. But I can respect the fact that this young mans dreams came to a tragic and unfortunate end. To work your ass off your entire life, be drafted, and 2 days later take a lethal dose of coke is something that bugs me. It looks like this guy could of been a great player for the sport and its sad that a young man died for making a poor choice so close to achieving what hes worked for all his life.

  • @fizik14

dude, basketball is probably most popular sport in america today and you're still saying it's worst professional sport in america? or maybe you're speaking how the system runs in NBA or wat?

  • It's so sad..his dreams were broken 2 days after the draft...R.I.P. Len :'-(

  • i teared my eyez out when i turnd da volume off and out of no where on da radio the michale jackson song came out -u are not alone and i miss them both legends dont die I JUST WISH I COULD BRING LENNY BACK :'(

  • honestly basketball star kid your a retard, it was cocaine it was 98% prue, everyone but his friend said it was his first time on coke, and he didnt know what he was doing so he took to much and his brain got all messed up and he died from cardiac arrest so dont even talk like you know shit ,,,, Dumbass

  • its so sad

  • just by looking at these comments and remembering this time, things have changed for the worst. Back then, ppl didn't make songs with the N word (hey idiots it ain't cool), athletes had a mother AND A father, blacks weren't trying to marry outside of their race and were proud of their black beauty. It was the trash who was the opposite of what I just mentioned who gave him the drugs. End of a Dream, End of Class in Sports.

  • it called operations of nature by akon.

its hard as shit to find

  • gone too soon. hes the best not to play

  • @ChuloBadGuy

yea i do feel that all them crackers u name are stupid. all ppl who abuse drugs are stupid. dont u agree?

im not racist, if i was i wouldn't be on dis channel. i called him a nigger because 95% of black ppl use that word on each other if u can cal urself dat y cant i

  • you aint black boi so dont say nigger or insult another person racist cracker how would you feal if someone just called a person you liked or looked up 2 a cracker

  • damn without him ...... the game is great we dont need any druggies in the nba but he was a good player but shouldnt of took dat last sniff

  • @Notorious200

that was the first time he took cocaine. he died as a first time user

  • it wasnt even cocaine he thought it was but it was actually rat poision mixed with all these chemicals, no cocaine was found in it.

  • @93871895

so do you feel River Phoenix, John Belushi & Lane Staley were all stupid crackers??? if you want to get racial I can name many white celebrities that died from drug abuse.

you're just another bored white boy in desperate need of a hug.

  • best player never to play proffesionally

  • Please help a brother out to find the song. i have also looked everywhere for this song?

  • What a shame

  • can someone send me this song!!!!lol

  • Can anyone send me this song?I looked everywhere for it!

  • I think Len would have been a fantastic pro, a multiple time ALL STAR if he never touched COKE! Great college players dont always become great pros cause they end up playing on the Clippers or the KIngs or the Nets or the Bucks!!!!! Bias was going to the DEFENDING World Champion Celtics. 40-1 at home that year!! Theres no way LEN BIAS would have been a bust had he had a full NBA carrear!!!!!!

  • @smoothop1000

    Bucks?

  • @lloydatoni Not anymore huh?

  • @smoothop1000 that's the most idiotic thing i've ever heard. michael jordan went to a crappy team and became the greatest (arguably) ever. most of the hall of famers went to crappy teams straight out of college because that's where the best players usually go. so i don't know where you're getting your theory from but get real.

  • @FuckUtube2008 Youre right MOST of the Hall of Famers went to crappy teams to start. But so did Sam Bowie, Shawn Bradley and Micheal Olowakandi and you cant tell me theyre in the same category as MJ, Isiah Thomas, David Robinson, etc. Len Bias wasnt gonna start out at the bottom, HE WAS STARTING OUT AT THE TOP!!!! Thats why my theory is legit, cause its very hard to change a losing culture of a franchise if you dont have all the right pieces in place!!!!!

  • @smoothop1000 dude...all you did was name a few players...how in the world does that in anyway refute the fact that MOST of the good players, as you've acknowledged, go to crappy teams? you can't make a few exceptions the RULE. furthermore, i really don't see what the quality of the team has to do with a player's individual skill. if anything, a talented player is gonna shine more on a crappy team because he won't have a bunch of egos to compete with and will get more playing time.

  • @FuckUtube2008 The quality of the team doesnt have anything to do with a player's indivudual skill at the start of their carrer, but if that player is STILL losing after 3 or 4 years, playing time dont matter much IF he wants to win. If hes a TRUE great like MJ or KB its about making his teammates better and winning titles, BIAS, would have made Bird, Mchale,Parish and the rest of the Celtics better and vice versa.

  • what song is this at the begining

  • Operations of Nature- Akon

  • Whats that song called?

  • He made one mistake, which caused him his life, he had no other drug history and was thankful for what he had, he was the man, Rip man God needed you more then the Celtics.

  • name of the song plz

  • len bais is the best EVER! there is no way that anyone can compete with him in his prime. Plus he got drafted to who? THE CELTICS!!!! i mean this would of definitely run into the bulls dynasty. No question about it. RIP Len

  • dude u didnt even spell bias right

  • i appreciate your passion for Len Bias, he was a phenomenal college bball player and probably would have been an amazing pro. unfortunately we were never able to see what the Celtics would have done or what he would have done in the pros, so to call him the best ever is a little bit of a stretch..could have been though

  • 4 any1 2 sit here an disrespect a man who waz as gud as bias yu are dum a crazy he made a big/huge mistake tht cost him hiz lyfe but look at the gud he caused as well he change a community an made alot of ppl want 2 be him he was mo realist then tht fool jordan chargen yu an yur kidz 120 dollaz 4 sum shoes i swear bias would charge tht much bkuz he neva 4 got where he came from an he waz an will alwayz be betta thn jordan in my heart juz no im 17 an i waznt round 4 yu but i play bball an yu

  • len bias

  • So sad to think what might have been for Lenny. He died much too young. His family must miss him every day. So sad.

  • what is that song...it has the chorus from operations of nature by akon but the beat is different...is it a remix or something?

  • With the way we make up and scrutinize these guys, its hard to say this will never happen again. Seriously these guys dont have that much life experience there still pretty young. I guess will never know how good this guy could have been

  • r.ip Len Bias

  • ducky is an attention whore... who cares what this clown has to say

  • fuck u

  • bet u he bus yo non athletic ass

  • Probably one of the saddest deaths in the NBA next to Reggie Lewis'.

  • @jlam88x its cocaine that always does it 2 it was believed the reggie used cocaine its a fuckin shame what could of been

  • Some people say Rudy Gay reminds them of Bias. I don't see it

  • God I HATE drugs. Drugs suck. I never did them and don't drink. I have lost too many friends.

Poor Len made a bad choice and drugs killed him.

You can't blame this one on the government because that would be stupid.

  • GREAT PLAYER!

  • R.I.P. Len Bias. He would've been unstoppable with Bird and the Celtics, and won multiple championships. Definitely one of the greatest to ever play in the ACC as well. The steal and backwards dunk on the Holes is still one of the most memorable plays in ACC history. You will never be forgotten!

  • u fuckin idiots dont say nothin about cris anderson and how he used drugs and recovered bias could of done the same but never got the chance some of u dont know how hard it is to get off drugs when being addicted so if u wanna talk shit bout this young man that could of been a legend why wont u take a look at yourself in the mirror and realize that u will never be perfect.

  • Lol at saying he never got the chance at quitting... He shoulnd't have used them in the first place...

obviously you can say the same about chris andersson, but andersson did quit, and is clean now...

u say it's not fair that bias enver got the cahcne?

well maybe it's also unfair that Chris andersson din't have the same talent that bias did...

it's just how it works, you always have a chance to die, and doing drugs increases it

    good job anderson for quitting

    too bad bias killed himself.

  • u dont know what ur talking about kiarip.....serious

  • pretty sure I know what happened, and I can draw my own conclusions

  • shut ur mouth i know len biases family i know them very well i see them almost every day and u goin say too bad he killed himself ur heart iz cold u aint perfect i hope his family didnt see ur comment

  • I had the pleasure to meet len bias in baltimore on a sunday afternoon at the inner harbor. My friends and I noticed him because we played basketball. We stopped just to say hi to him told him we played ball too, but he stayed and sat down on the bench and just kicked it with us for like ten minutes until other people started noticing him . He was a real dude that's why it hurts so much to see this happen to such a cool guy

  • I can see where folks would compare him to T-Mac, but no way. Think Karl Malone, with a touch of Jordan Skills. Just a shame, and such a sad story for his entire family, with the other issues that arose, and the loss of his brother, so soon after. I just hope there family has found some peace.

  • Even though Len Bias died, you could draw some positives from this. Many kids watching this were once taking drugs but once he died, we learned that drugs arent the answer. Some people say he was a waste of a talent. I say he was a mentor for the next generation.

  • whers the brother of leb bias now??

  • Len's brother, Jay, was shot and killed 4 years after Len died.

  • i hate wen i see talent that gets wasted like this

  • He certainly was NOT AN ADDICT. Part of the reason he died was because of the rush from doing the drug both your first and second time. Doing this drug was just a mistake Bias made, a very unfortunate one, as he was a GREAT all-around person. Never controversial, never in disputes with the law. Just a good man, who made a mistake like both you and I.

  • Dean SMith said there were 2 players in the ACC that were the best he had ever seen: Michael Jordan and Len Bias. Imagine T-Mac, in the 80s/90s with the Celtics. thats the player that, i think, many NBA fans could compare with Len Bias: a T-Mac-esque player, or T-Mac being a Len Bias-esque player. either way, a great talent that never got to be...RIP LB

  • damn len bias wudve been badassss

  • 1:06 INSANE POSTERIZED

  • unbeleivable how often i think about him in a Celtics uniform.

  • Can somebody tell me the song in the begining?Thanx in advance!

  • thanx for posting

  • That was really well put together. Good job and may Len RIP
